We’re totally OK with the possibility of Jay Leno’s departure from late-night television, but this is a step in the wrong direction.

The New York Post says NBC is preparing to put Howard Stern in Jimmy Fallon’s place once Fallon makes the move to 11:35. Mind you, when last we looked, NBC hadn’t confirmed that Leno was leaving. But if he is, so be it. He’s just so blah! Howard Stern on the other hand? Not a fan. I stopped paying attention years ago when I couldn’t take the crudeness anymore. Then he went to America’s Got Talent and apparently became America’s Sweetheart.

The tabloid paper quotes his wife Beth Ostrosky Stern, “We were in a hotel and all these little kids recognize him now as the judge from ‘America’s Got Talent.’ Usually it’s their dads. But now it is screaming little kids. People are now seeing him for who he really is.”

Once again, we’re going to suggest Aisha Tyler. A new voice, funny, a fan of The Walking Dead… who’s with us?

The Donald Is Trippin’ Again: According To Trump Beyoncé’s ‘Suggestive’ Halftime Performance Was Scandalous

It’s not surprising at all that big-mouthed billionaire, Donald Trump expressed his opinion on Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime show performance, as he seems to have no qualms with voicing his unsolicited opinions about any and everything. What was a bit surprising however, was how he felt about the performance. In a February 6th interview with Howard Stern, he expressed that he believed Bey’s performance to be inappropriate, but not before stating how much he likes her husband, Jay-Z.

“I like Jay-Z a lot, but I will tell you this, at the Super Bowl when Beyonce was thrusting her hips forward in a very suggestive manner, if someone else would have done that it would have been a national scandal. I thought it was ridiculous … I thought it was not appropriate.”

He went on to state that he felt as though he was one of few that took notice of her distasteful performance and how he couldn’t understand it because people have been ripped to shreds for less.

“I’ve seen things for far less that people have made a big deal out of, but I haven’t even heard anybody mention it. I think I may be mentioning it now to you for the first time… The way the ‘so and so’ was thrust forward continuously, I was saying “Give me a break”.  There’s been no mention of [her scandalous behavior]. So obviously, it must not have been so bad. She gets a pass.”

Umm, thanks for your two cents Trump.

What do you think of his reaction to Bey’s halftime performance? Did you find it to be inappropriate at all?

We Really Didn’t Need To Know All That: Nick Cannon Says He ‘Gets Off’ To Mariah Carey’s ‘Hero’

There’s a certain level of tackiness that is to be expected when one accepts an invitation to appear on Howard Stern’s radio show, but I’m sure most of us really could have done without the intimate details Nick Cannon spilled on his wife, Mariah Carey, and their sex life.

On the show, the “America’s Got Talent” host was asked about the couple’s abstinence period before they got married. Just to be clear, there were only six weeks between the time the pair met and jumped the broom April 30 of 2008, but during that month-and-a-half, they didn’t engage in any type of sexual activity at all. For most women, this wouldn’t be a big deal, but you know how men are, so Nick was asked if he was worried about Mariah’s bedroom skills at all before tying the knot. He gave Howard this graphic answer:

“It was Mariah Carey. If Mariah Carey gave a bad b**w job, I’m still going in. In my mind, I’m wit it,” he said. “Either way she’s still one of the most beautiful women on the planet.”

Nice save on the last part, but unfortunately Nick’s responses got gradually worse. It appears to be the thing these days to ask celebrities whether they get it in to their own music, and Mimi’s husband admitted that they do. But what’s a little more over-the-top, is Nick saying that he pleases himself to Mariah Carey tunes, and that “Hero,” of all songs, happens to be his favorite to get off too. I know the bridge in that song is pretty powerful, but c’mon Nick, really? “Hero?”

I’m curious what Mariah thinks about her husband’s recent late-night interview. While it may be flattering that he handles his business to the tune of her voice, I would not want, not just my man, but my husband and the father of our children, talking about our sex life and how he felt me up like a sixth grade virgin on national radio, especially a kinky show like Howard Stern. Being the diva that Mariah is, I would’ve thought she’d feel the same, but she also likes attention and this is definitely giving her a lot of that.

Check out the bleeped up video of the convo on the next page if you so please. How are you feeling about Nick’s interview and these TMI details?

Nick Cannon’s Not Having it with Chelsea Handler’s Mimi Shots

Everyone’s been talking about Chelsea Handler opening up about her relationship with 50 Cent on Howard Stern but Nick Cannon wasn’t hearing none of that. The proud father and husband was more concerned with what Chelsea had to say about his wife, Mariah Carey. She told Howard:

“Anyone who’s married to Mariah Carey I’m sure doesn’t have a great sense of humor. Shes’ ridiculous. What is her game plan? What kind of person operates like that? She’s worse than like Elizabeth Taylor. She’s just so ridiculous with her body. You see her one day and she’s 50 pounds heavier or light…there’s nothing real about her and her Hello Kitty or whatever.

Nick Cannon actually does have a sense of humor but not when it comes to jokes about Mimi. He unleashed on twitter with this:

“I hear @ChelseaHandler is out there talking s*** about my wife again! She’s lucky I’m trying to live right now! Jesus my cup runneth over.

I think @ChelseaHandler is still bitter that she got blasted on my radio show! It’s okay I still love you! When miserable people see happiness they must attack it. You know me, I’m always up for a good joke or wise crack but when people talk about my family the ‘Hood’ in me wants to come out! I’ve learned cooler heads prevail. Life is too short to focus on negativity!”

I love the “Jesus my cup runneth over” part. Great to see a man have his wife’s back, go Nick!

Are you a fan of Chelsea Handler?

Joan Rivers calls Mrs. Obama “Blackie O”

January 26th, 2011 - By Veronica Wells

Recently famed comedian Joan Rivers met with Howard Stern on his radio show. During their interview Joan mentioned that she was going to include a joke in one of her acts, but decided to leave it out because she thought it might offend African Americans. Of course, Howard Stern, being who he is, asked what the joke was.

And Rivers said, referring to Mrs. Obama’s fashion sensibilities: “We used to have Jackie O, now we have Blackie O!”

Then she and Howie had a good ole time nagging about how anything directed toward African Americans is off limits. Rivers said she wouldn’t be offended if someone were to refer to her as “Jewie O.”

Oooh Joan, just when we thought you were cool.

While Ms. Rivers was probably trying to pay Lady O a compliment by comparing her fabulous fashion sense to former first lady Jackie Onassis, the message just doesn’t translate. Sure Mrs. Obama is undoubtedly black, but the term “blackie” was used to denigrate African Americans. It harkens back to a time where racially charged jokes were readily accepted and ultimately used as tools to oppress blacks in this country.

We’re not trying to go back there Joan.

If you knew it was potentially offensive why didn’t you keep it tucked away in the “thoughts-that-make-me-sound-like-an-insensitive-idiot” drawer?

What do you think, was Rivers comment ok?  Or did she cross the line?
