Leave it to those infamous Super Bowl parties to reveal which celebs have left their former lovers in the dust of the previous year and snagged up new boos just in time for Valentine’s Day. It seems that Shaq’s new years resolution may have been to get rid of his on-again,off-again former reality star fiancée Hoopz for good, as he was seen partying at a private gathering at The Hookah Lounge in New Orleans with “Entertainment Tonight” co-host Rocsi Diaz, reports Page Six.

Of course, the time Shaq and Rocsi spent together could’ve simply been some plain old platonic fun, but their fellow partygoers are suggesting otherwise.

“Shaq and Rocsi were holding hands at this private party and at a private table. They looked like an odd couple, but they seemed really into each other,” a source exclusively told Page Six.

Representatives of the “106 and Park” host aren’t exactly denying or confirming the claims.

“Rocsi was there hosting and her free time was incredibly short because of her work with ET. I can confirm they [she and Shaq] are very good friends,” said a rep from Diaz’s camp.

What’s interesting to note is that although Rocsi’s relationship with comedian Eddie Murphy is clearly over, Shaq and Hoopz were spotted in the Bahamas just last month. Reports even suggested that the two were back together. Not that it would mean much to Rocsi, as she’s earned quite a reputation for being a homewrecker over the years due to her alleged involvement with actress LisaRaye McCoy’s ex-husband during the couple’s marriage.

Whatever the nature of her relationship with Shaq, Rocsi appears to have had a great time.

“Anybody else believe today should be a national holiday ???Tired.com ,” The ET Tonight host tweeted.

Hmmm…

So this isn’t the first time we thought Shaq and Hoopz had called it quits, and honestly, who wouldn’t be surprised to hear they didn’t last? But this time around, The Boston Globe says they got the news straight from the horse’s mouth. According to the news source:

“Former Sudbury resident Nicole ‘Hoopz’ Alexander confirmed to the Globe on Friday that she and her longtime boyfriend, retired Celtic Shaquille O’Neal, have called it quits.”

What the Boston Globe leaves out in an explanation for the split, Black Sports Online makes up for plenty with a tale of “you can take the girl out of the ghetto, but you can’t take the ghetto out of the girl.” According to the site, “the straw that seem to have broke the camel’s back was an argument at the Orlando Metro Gymnastics facility. Hoopz after watching Gabby Douglas win the All-Around at the Olympics, wanted to get some lessons,” and according to an eyewitness account:

“The gym doesn’t teach people over the age of 18 for insurance purposes and when Hoopz was told this she lost her mind.  She started to curse out the staff and became belligerent. She got extremely loud, screaming at the top of her lungs how she needed to train for the 2016 Olympics.

Shaq was embarrassed, he dropped his head like he was ashamed of her. He didn’t say anything while they were in the gym, but once they got to their car a heated argument took place. You could hear and see them screaming at each other.  I felt bad for him.”

I’m willing to bet half of Shaq’s issue was Hoopz poor behavior and the other was her delusional belief that she would actually be participating in the 2016 Olympics. The girl is certainly athletic, and they don’t call her Hoopz for nothing, but at 29, she’s going to have to hang up those gold medal dreams—along with any hope of becoming a basketball wife apparently.

Shaq and Hoopz had been together for about two years so this surely couldn’t have been the first time the Detroit native showed her true colors. I’m guessing the newly hooded  Doctor of Leadership and Education just didn’t have the patience for her antics anymore. I’m sure it will only be a matter of time before both are on to the next one. Thoughts?

So maybe Shaq didn’t actually put Hoopz out of his house in a break up if “we’re fine” means we’re still together.

Shaq stopped by “Sway In the Morning” yesterday and when the hosts told him they reported on his breakup with Hoopz last week he wasn’t too happy. After getting off of his soapbox about false media reports, Sway asked whether rumors that him and his boo broke up were a lie and Shaq said:

“We’re doing good.”

And just in case we didn’t get his spiel about taking anyone else’s word for truth besides his the first time, he laid into the hosts again and then said:

“We’re fine, we’re good. period.”

I guess that means the woman he was seen with in Vegas for his b-day wasn’t really there either. Regardless, sounds like we have no choice but to believe these two are still going strong. What do you think?

I know, the most surprising thing about this news is probably that it didn’t happen sooner, but after nearly two years of dating, Shaq and Hoopz have reportedly called it quits.

You have to admit these two had a pretty good run for a reality TV star who competed for a chance to date Flavor Flav and a top NBA athlete. There were even rumors that the two had eloped back in November but now the word is Shaq is ready to move on so he put Hoopz out of his house accordingly—although not without the aid of security.

According to sources, Shaq broke the news to Hoopz two weeks ago and when he did,

“Hoopz got emotional, and Shaq had to protect himself [from a lawsuit] . . . so he left the house and had [his security] help Hoopz gather her things and leave.”

That is not a good way to end a relationship.

There’s no telling what inspired Shaq to abruptly call it quits with his 28-year old boo, but not long after he was spotted in Vegas celebrating his 40th birthday and, of course, he had a new chick on his arm.

Rumor has it that big Shaq and his fiance Nikki “Hoopz” Alexander tied the knot over the weekend—completely on impulse.

An insider told MediaTakeOut.com, “There was no planning or anything. They just went and got married. [Shaq] didn’t talk to his accountants or lawyers . . .  there’s no pre-nup.” Say what?

Shaq and Hoopz have been together since about Summer 2010, i.e. not that long. Plus this is the same woman who kissed up on Flava Flav just long enough to win on Flavor of Love and launch her “modeling career.” Not that Shaq is the faithful type—ask Shaunie—but he should at least protect his financials. What should we take bets on first—how many days will pass before he cheats or how long before she files for divorce? Do I hear 72?
