Yes, Honey! Andrea Kelly Is Working On A Self-Help Book For Women
It looks like VH1′s Hollywood Exes star and ex-wife of R&B legend R. Kelly, Andrea Kelly aka “Baby Hair,” will be joining the ranks of reality television stars with book publishing deals. The super-talented choreographer recently revealed that she is in the process of writing a book entitled, Life Under the Red Carpet: My Life As R.Kelly’s Wife. Don’t let the title fool you though, it will not be a juicy tell-all that exposes Robert and all of his messiness, but a self-help book for women who may find themselves going through what she went through during the course of her relationship and divorce with the R&B megastar. In an interview with Ebony.com, the reality star shares some interesting details about her book, letting us know what to and what not to expect.
It’s called Under the Red Carpet, and it’s about my life as R. Kelly’s wife. Everyone thinks it’s a tell-book, like girl she’s about to throw him under the bus, [but] nope! It’s really a self-help book for women about staying true to you and don’t get lost because that’s a big shadow when you have such a famous ex-husband. The image [gets] so distorted that you don’t even know who you’re looking at. If I can walk away from R. Kelly, and the world says I have everything, you can walk away from a man that does not have a job, does not support his children, he is not bringing money back into the household, he’s not protecting and caring for you. If I can walk away from this, surely you can walk away from that for yourself. But if you don’t have the strength [to walk away], let me show you how I did it, and not [by] giving you a book that’s full of BS, glitter and unicorns.
In a recent interview with HipHollywood.com, she also discussed Hollywood Exes being renewed for a second season and how she hopes that women were able to watch her on the show and realize that it’s okay to cry and get past whatever may be hurting them.
Unlike many reality television stars, it seems like Andrea is using her influence to release positivity into the universe and to actually help someone else. Having been married to R.Kelly for so many years and still being able to smile after such a difficult divorce, I’m sure she has much wisdom to divulge.
Will you be reading Andrea’s book when it’s released?

Where Are They Now? The Real Hollywood Exes (And Mistresses) Of Music’s Biggest Players
From ex-wives to ex-girlfriends and former mistresses as well as cuddle buddies, these women were constant arm candy for some of music’s biggest stars (oh, and one NBA baller I couldn’t keep out). Some got a ring and went through the most with their men, others just had a good ‘ol time with some high profile people, and well, some had their lives flipped upside down. They were seen everywhere with them at events–and then they weren’t. Where are they now?

The former stylist and model, and of course, daughter of Quincy Jones was allegedly engaged to Tupac before he passed away. Clearly cut from a different cloth than her sister, actress Rashida Jones, Kidada was besties with Aaliyah and was known for helping Tommy Hilfiger’s line of clothing become a must in urban wear. Anywho, after Shakur’s death, during a time of grief, Jones went ahead and got a tattoo of him on her arm. Today though, it has been covered. These days, Kidada is back focused on styling and designing, as she was the force behind Disney Couture and the extension, Kidada for Disney Couture.

Keenan Ivory Wayans Ex-Wife Added To Renewed Second Season Of “Hollywood Exes”
Good news! “Hollywood Exes” is coming back for a second season and they’re bringing a new cast member with them, Keenan Ivory Wayans’ ex-wife, Daphne. A couple of months ago, we reported that the mother of Keenan’s five children, whom he was married to for three or four years, was vying for a chance to join the cast, and according to a press release on VH1′s blog, she succeeded.
The announcement says all five women, Nicole Murphy, Mayte Garcia, Jessica Canseco, Sheree Fletcher, and Andrea Kelly, will be returning for the renewed season in 2013 along with Daphne who is a longtime friend of Nicole and Sheree.
“Daphne will join the rest of the ladies as they continue to step out of the long shadows cast by their famous exes and support each other on the next stages of their lives,” the site says.
Though “Hollywood Exes” didn’t quite put up “Love & Hip-Hop” numbers on VH1, with an average of 1.5 million viewers, the ladies proved that people like to watch classy women as well, and you don’t have to act a you know what to be entertaining. I’m sure Andrea Kelly’s hilarious sayings kept people coming back for more too.
Are you looking forward to season 2?

Find HelloBeautiful
We’ve come to the end of the road for our “Hollywood Exes” and it’s been one wild ride but it looks like all of the ladies have accomplished the goals they set for themselves at the beginning of the season. Sheree has been set on staying in LA since episode one but she knows that the distance between her and her husband would cause problems in their relationship. She decides that the best thing to do to buy extra time to make her decision about whether to move or stay is to buy her hubby a Harley motorcycle.Even though she doesn’t like the idea of her husband having a bike, she thinks that she can use it as a tool to get what she wants. Smart thinking, Sheree.

Keenan Ivory Wayans’ Ex-Wife Wants To Get On “Hollywood Exes”
It’s hard to tell how interested the public is in VH1′s new show “Hollywood Exes.” The series definitely hasn’t attained as much attention as the network’s other reality hits like “Basketball Wives” and “Love & Hip-Hop” but should one of the few sensible shows on the channel get picked up for a second season, Keenan Ivory Wayan’s Ex-Wife Daphne wants to be down.
According to TMZ:
Sources tell us, Daphne Wayans – who was married to Keenan from 2001 to 2004 and has 5 children with him — will join the cast for the second season of the VH1 show … just as soon as they get picked up by the network.
According to Wikipedia’s timeline, Keenan and Daphne were married in 2000 and he filed for divorced three years later in 2003, but by either account the two were only married a short while. Not much is known about what Daphne has been up to since becoming single but the good thing is if she does join the cast it won’t be to stir up drama. TMZ caught Daphne hanging out with a couple of her potential future cast mates, Sheree Fletcher and Andrea Kelly, and they appear to all be pretty cool with each other which is a very good thing. The closer the friends, the less the problems—unless we’re talking about Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada. Only time will tell whether the “Hollywood Exes” will be brought back and Daphne will have a chance to tell her side of the story. Season 1 is just about half over.
Have you been keeping up with “Hollywood Exes?” Would you want to see Daphne join the cast?

Uh Oh: LisaRaye Already Has a Problem With ‘Hollywood Exes’
A lot of you out there aren’t too keen on VH1′s latest reality TV show, “Hollywood Exes” because of the idea of these women using someone else’s fame (their ex-husbands’) to gain their own, but LisaRaye has a problem with it for a totally different reason. Her reasoning isn’t really new though because while all of the ladies, and even the show’s producers, have promised that this will be a wholesome, feel-good show, the preview for the entire series shown during the first episode shows there may be a ratchet moment akin to the mess we saw on “Basketball Wives” this season. And to that, LisaRaye said:
What she’s referring to is a scene where Prince’s ex gets a little crunk with Jose Canseco’s. Customarily, a drink is thrown (I’m pretty sure that’s a requirement in every VH1 cast member’s contract) and then it looks as though things get even more physical. When I saw that preview, I definitely had a similar reaction, like really, Mayte, and I was about to quickly blast her for being way too old for that until I found out she’s 38. I mean, clearly she’s still way too old to have that type of on-camera reaction with a real life friend (Hello Evelyn) but I didn’t realize she was the same age as the BBW crew so I guess birds of a feather throw down on TV together.
Right now, it’s not clear what all went down but I’m still sitting in the LisaRaye WTF camp. Although Jessica Canseco could probably use a swift pop in the mouth every now and then, let’s not do this—for a number of reasons.
What do you think about LisaRaye’s comment and “Hollywood Exes” so far?

So What Does Will Smith Think About His Ex-Wife Getting a Reality Show?
A lot of people have been feeling some type of way about the idea of women becoming famous because of who they divorced with all of the attention on VH1′s new show, “Hollywood Exes,” but the most important question is how do the exes feel about these women getting a show because of them.
From the pilot episode, we could see Jose Canseco is still somewhat involved with his ex, which is why he was on the show, so it’s not surprising he doesn’t have a problem with the arrangement, but so far Sheree Fletcher is the only one who has acknowledged her ex-hubby, Will Smith’s, stake in this whole thing. In an interview with Vibe she spoke on involving Will in her decision to join the show and what his reaction was. When they asked her whether she had to get Will’s approval, she said:
“Absolutely, because he is an ex. I didn’t need Will’s permission to do the show; there was nothing that I needed to sign in order to do the show. You know, our son is 19 [years old], so out of respect, of course I told him that this was what I was considering doing. I actually told him when I signed. When I said, ‘Look, this is what I’m going to do,’ he gave me his blessing to have a good time.”
Sheree’s situation is a little interesting because she’s not just an ex, she’s also the wife of Terrell Fletcher, the Sr. Pastor of San Diego’s City of Hope International Church, which means she also needed his approval. She told Vibe:
“He was skeptical at first because of the nature of reality, as was I, but he’s great. You’ll see him in the show. He makes quite a few appearances with me. He’s super supportive and totally on board.”
In this day and age when everybody tries to claim the camera is playing tricks on us and what we’re seeing is really production magic and not real actions, it’s amazing anyone still takes a chance having every minute of their lives videotaped like this. Sheree says for her, the decision to join the cast wasn’t about her trying to be famous but to have fun while also building her brand.
“It looked like it would be a lot of fun,” she said of her choice to be a part of the show. “It was reality but it was a ‘different color of the rainbow.’ They wanted to show women in a more positive light and women coming together and being supportive and encouraging one another, a kind of a sorority type of thing. So that kind of piqued my interest. As a business women, I thought it’d be great in terms of exposure of my brand.
Women coming together in a more positive light is exactly the message she says she wants viewers to take away from the show too.
“First and foremost, women can come together and do something great. We can disagree respectfully. I want people to know that women need women. We really do, and I want women to be encouraged. Like I said, you’ve got five women who are business owners and I’m hoping that that would inspire somebody to step out and start their own thing. I think that we’re very relatable. I think that women will connect to us. We’re women just like anybody else. It doesn’t matter who our exes were. I mean, obviously, we went through our divorce in a public, major way, but at the end of the day, we’re women and we can connect and relate on so many other levels. I’m hoping that women will relate and be encouraged.”
We’ll have to see how that comes across on the first real episode tonight at 9pm. Do you think it was cool of Will to give Sheree his blessing?
