Throwback! It was more than 10 years ago that this handsome fella with his curly fro and chocolate skin caught our attention with his song “Don’t You Forget It.” That was everybody’s jam, right? He had been in the industry since the late ’90s, but Lewis finally got the most shine he deserved as a neo-soul artist around 2002 when he released World Outside My Window. But Lewis has been pretty MIA over the years, and we’ve been missing his retro voice and enchanting love songs for a while now. But luckily for us, Lewis has a new album coming out this year, called Moment of Truth, and has just released a new single from it called “Can’t Say Love.”

The track is about losing the love of your life (probably due to some big mistake or lack of appreciation, you know, the usual…) and knowing that you’ll never find any better or love anyone the way you loved that individual. It’s definitely a winner, even as a slow jam, and despite the time Lewis has been missing from the game, he hasn’t lost a step. Check out the track for yourself below and let us know if you think the Certifyd-produced track is a pass or an absolute play. Either way, we’re happy this hunk is back!

After years of being confused about it, I’ve found that clearly, not everyone is supposed to be or going to be as big as an Usher, a Beyoncé, and most probably won’t get anywhere near MJ status on a global scale. But when highly talented individuals, especially good looking male singers with great pipes, don’t get or don’t get to sustain the popularity they once had, I always wonder why. Such is the case with the following 10 fellas, who throughout my pre-teens and adulthood, I’ve been a fan of. So what are they doing now and what went wrong on the road to stardom? Shall we find out?

And be ready to click (you’ve been warned, so save the complaints).

Glenn Lewis

“And don’t you forget iiiiiit!” That was my jam! For those who don’t remember Glenn Lewis, the neo-soul singer with his funky curls and smooth voice garnered many a female fan after dropping songs like “Don’t You Forget It” off of his debut disk, World Outside My Window in 2002. The Canadian crooner was doing fairly well sales wise as his debut album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200, but as he prepared to release his second album with the single, “Back For More,” his release date got pushed back, and his album just wound up being shelved. Things haven’t been the same since…

After leaving and joining different labels, you’ll be happy to know that Lewis signed with EMI Music in 2011 and is said to be working on a new project. However, we’ll believe it when we see it. He still looks good though!

There is something about Drake. We can’t deny it.

Even being the day his much anticipated album, Thank Me Later, hits stores we still can’t figure out what his mass appeal is…but we have some guesses. Maybe it’s his confident cool under lyrical pressure.  Could it be his GQ-esque looks? Perhaps it’s his stylist– always putting him in clean cut attire. Or maybe it’s all of those factors, coupled with the fact that he’s Canadian that sets him apart.
