“N***as Should Sag Down To Their Socks”: City In NJ Passes Saggy Pants Ban, Rapper Game Speaks Out Against It

If you are sick and tired of seeing a young man’s Hanes underwear not peeking, but making a grand appearance in front of you as you walk down the street, or you hurt for the man waddling down the street in hopes of keeping his pants up but maintaining his cool at the same time, then you need to go to Wildwood, New Jersey. The city just passed a law that is prohibiting anyone from walking on their boardwalk wearing pants that are sagging three inches below the hips. If authorities see any sign of your back or your crack (or your drawls), you will be fined between $25 as a first-time offender. And if you continue to get caught sagging, you could be fined $200 and possibly be forced to serve community service, a whopping 40 hours.

The law came into action after numerous complaints from residents were sent to Mayor Ernest Troiano, with people saying they would not return to the popular boardwalk the community has if they constantly had to be exposed to people’s underwear. Troiano tells the New Jersey CBS affiliate,

“When you have good families who call you up and say, `I’ve been coming here 20 years, 30 years, 40 years and I’m not going to any longer because I’m not going to subject my children or my parents or grandparents to seeing some kid walk down the boardwalk with their butt hanging out,’ you have to do something.”

And while such a decision is pleasing to some, for others, like rapper Game, it’s just not fair. When speaking with TMZ, he let folks know LOUD and clear that he was against Wildwood, New Jersey’s law, and that he wouldn’t mind helping to pay off people’s fines.

“N***** should sag down to their socks out there. They trying to get people to not sag, please. Can’t tell people how to wear their f***ing clothes. What time are we in? This ain’t the f***ing slave days. F*** that.

I am with the sagging movement. First five people to get fines, I will pay their tickets … I will go there and sag cause I am a sagging Sagittarius.”

His point would probably come across better if he wasn’t cursing like a sailor, but alas, he doesn’t know better. But anywho, what do you think of the ban, as well as Game’s response?

Chrissy Teigen v. Team Breezy

Team Breezy is agro. All Chrissy said during the Billboard Music Awards this year was that Chris Brown’s performance wasn’t great. Is that really enough reason to threaten to kill a chick? They got so out of line that Breezy had to come in and calm things down. Some people are too crazy to handle 140 characters.

Okay, okay, okay, so maybe rapper, Game, is not so bad after all. Well, at least around election time that is.

According to TMZ, The Los Angeles born and raised MC was actually in NYC during yesterday’s nerve-racking election. And since many residents were still struggling with no electricity, no gas and even being displaced from their homes that were hit by Hurricane Sandy, he decided to step up and try to help folks get to the polls–by any means necessary. The rapper doled out $20 for cab fare to more than 500 people who had no way to get where they needed to be in order to vote, and he also drove people in New Jersey to polling places using his own means of transportation. All in all, he says he spent about $10,000 in his efforts, but says that he planned to do so because he didn’t want the many people he saw affected by last month’s hurricane to lose out. Plus, he says it was “small change” anyway. And while he did vote for Barack Obama via absentee ballot for California, he told TMZ that he wasn’t trying to influence anybody to vote for any particular candidate–he just wanted them to get out there and vote.

Well isn’t that nice! Can’t say whether this was done for publicity for his new reality show “Marrying The Game,” or if he was just that moved by people hurting on the East Coast, but the man deserves some major props for coming through and helping out in such a way. Some claim he was trying to push people to vote a certain way, but I doubt that. Plus, I’m sure those folks riding around in whatever luxury vehicle he was rolling around the city in were appreciative. Check out what he had to say to TMZ cameras:

And in other rapper news that has to do with the election, according to BET.com, if you’ve been missing Young Jeezy, you’ll be glad to know that he’s got a new single out, and it’s in honor of President Obama and another historic win for the President. I’m sure that in 2008 and after the results came in last night, you were probably banging “My President Is Black” by the rapper out of your speakers, your cars, your computers, etc. And while that track is great, “We Done It Again,” is a bit more calm, cool, and collected and reflective of things that have happened since 2008. Jeezy says the thirst for another four years of leadership from someone like the President–NOT Mitt Romney–is real (“What does Romney know about my ghetto? I say the least”), and he’s hoping the President’s win will help every little boy and girl struggling in ghettos around the country. As Young Jeezy says, “We waitin’ on a savior, maybe Barack.” I’m also digging the fact that this track isn’t so heavy with expletives like “My President Is Black,” but it’s still a dope one. Check it out and let me know what you think!

The Rapper Game Proposes to Long-Time Girlfriend On-Camera!

In the big “awwwww” moment of the day, you have to check out this video of the rapper, Game, proposing to his girlfriend of seven years (on and off), and the mother of his children, Tiffany Cambridge. While we’d all love a well-thought out and executed proposal sometime in our lives, nobody expects it to be recorded, especially not Cambridge, a teacher and the mother of two of Game’s (born Jayceon Taylor) children. She looked too confused! The rapper got the MTV News crew together and went to Cambridge’s school to give her the ultimate surprise with the help of her co-workers. What she thought was going to be a meeting wound up being where she found Taylor, who got on his knee in the old-school traditional way and asked her for her hand. She quietly, but quickly said yes! When asked how he felt about the engagement, Taylor said it was a long time coming, and that he was happy. “As a man, this is something that I owe her and that I owe to my family.” Awwwww! Check out the beautiful engagement surprise below, courtesy of MTV News:
