"Color Block Maxi Dress"

It’s clear that the maxi dress trend isn’t going anywhere and now that warmer temps are becoming more constant, we can shimmy into them sooner rather than later. Lightweight. Comfy. Cool. These three words describe these dresses perfectly, and we think every woman should have at least one of these elongated frocks in her wardrobe. Short ladies, don’t get discouraged, we too can rock this trend with alterations performed by a tailor or by embracing a higher heel.

The hard part is finding a maxi in a print or color that you love. Well, hopefully, we’ve accomplished the hard part for you and – as a bonus – found maxis that will take you from poolside to cocktails with ease. Spring is here ladies, let’s dress accordingly.

"Floral Print Opening Image"

This spring, there’s power in the flower! Floral prints are HUGE right now, literally. The over-sized petals of today are a nice update on a trend that comes as no surprise. Like clockwork, roses, orchids, lilies, and more appear in full bloom during the month of March. Labels like Diane von Furstenberg, Cynthia Rowley, and Balmain featured floral prints in their Spring 2012 collections. As a result, celebs such as Zoe Saldana and Solange have already been spotted rocking the trend.

We know keeping up with the ‘latest and greatest’ can be expensive for us fashionistas on a budget. So we’ve gathered pieces that are both easy on the eyes and the wallet. Thank us later, you’ve got some petal pickin’ to do!
