Last fall, we told you that Flo Rida was hit with a good fortune child support lawsuit, which is a special kind of parental support that can be requested for children with wealthy parents in the state of Florida. The suit was filed by video model Natasha Georgette Williams, who at the time, was still pregnant. She has since given birth to a baby boy.
In court documents, Natasha alleged that Flo refused to help her with prenatal expenses, but that he did offer pay for an abortion, which she obviously refused. Flo, however, admitted to sleeping with Natasha, but argued that he probably was not the father of her child because he’s convinced that he was not her only sexual partner at the time.
Flo recently submitted to DNA testing and according to TMZ, the results are in. He is definitely the father of Natasha’s son.
“Though not a surprise to Ms. Williams, we are certainly pleased that the Court ordered paternity test firmly establishes Flo Rida is the father of their son,” said Natasha’s attorney Ray Rafool.
Flo’s reps have yet to comment on the outcome of the DNA test.

Stacey Dash starred in a couple episodes of “The Cosby Show” and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” early on in her career but her big break came in 1995’s Clueless as the self-centered Dionne Davenport, opposite Alicia Silverstone and Brittany Murphy. Part Barbadian, African-American and Mexican, the former “Single Ladies” star caught a lot of flack in 2012 for endorsing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Using her platform to express her conservative views, Dash also criticized Jay Z and Beyonce for their 2013 trip to Cuba.
This year is not off to the best start for Flo Rida–or his finances. Not too long ago we told you that the “Low” rapper was hit with a “good fortune” child support lawsuit by Natasha Georgette Williams, a video vixen who claims she’s pregnant with his child. And now, it looks like he’s been swindled out of $170,000.
According to TMZ, Flo kicked out $170,000 to purchase a home from Florida couple Pierre and Marie Malette. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out and somehow the deal never closed. In court documents, Flo says he handed over the money to the Malettes, but they never signed over the house, nor did they return the money. The couple has since filed for bankruptcy. As to be expected, he’s pretty upset about everything. But sources close to the situation say that he’s less concerned about the house than he is the money that he lost in the process.
Flo has since filed a claim in their bankruptcy case, demanding the $170,000 back.
Uncle Sam has Flo Rida’s head spinning “right round” with a whopping $1.2 million tax lien. The Wild Ones rapper, whose real name is Tramar Lacel Dillard, is accused of owing the IRS large sums of cash between 2009 and 2011, Radar Online reports.
The legal document, acquired by Radar, was filed on Jan. 2; the federal record states that Dillard is behind on three payments: $343,317.03 in 2009, $10,245.41 in 2010, and $844,093.00 in 2011. Altogether, the Right Round musician owes the taxman $1,197,655 — and 44 cents.
“We have made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid. Therefore there is a lien in favor of the United States on all property and rights belonging to this taxpayer for the amount of these taxes, and additional penalties, interest, and cost that may accrue,” the federal filing stated.
This isn’t the first time Flo Rida was singled out for unpaid taxes. In 2012, the rapper owed the IRS $1,040,777.45 and there was a lien against his 2.3-acre Miami estate, according to Gossip Extra.
The chart-topping artist is one of the many, in recent years, who have gotten on Uncle Sam’s bad side including Kelis, Damon Dash, Faith Evans, Fat Joe, Jurmaine Dupri, and Mary J. Blige. It’s getting a little ridiculous, isn’t it?
Up until this point, Miami rapper Flo Rida has been able to avoid drama for the most part, but all of that is about to change as the 34-year-old entertainer, whose real name is Tramar Lacel Dillard, has just found himself in the middle of an ugly child support lawsuit.
According to TMZ, a video vixen by the name of Natasha Georgette Williams is claiming to be pregnant by “Low” rapper. Natasha recently filed a child support lawsuit against him. Ironically, she didn’t file just any child support suit, but a “good fortune” child support suit, which is a special kind of child support in Florida that is afforded for the children of wealthy people.
According to legal documents, Natasha hasn’t given birth yet, but she’s currently requesting cash for things such as pre-natal assistance and a few other birth-related expenses. In addition to all of that, she’s requesting that his future child support payments cover medical insurance, daycare, private school, summer camp and so on. The paternity of the child has yet to be determined and Flo hasn’t publicly addressed the suit as of yet. We’ll keep you posted as this story develops.

There was some stiff…ahh who are we kidding? There was some odd competition in the Top Rap Artist category at the Billboard Music Awards tonight. Nicki Minaj, Drake, Flo Rida, Pitbull, and Psy (?) went head to head for the honor during the 2013 ceremony, but when all was said and done the choice was pretty obvious….
Nicki Minaj took the gold!
We’re still trying to figure out how Gagnam Style Psy was even a nominee, but until we have an answer, let’s just focus on the present. Was Nicki your choice for top rap artist?
We’re going to tell you right now that this list is going to surprise you. Billboard put together a list of the top pop artists of the last twenty years between 1992 and 2012, based on hit singles and album sales. Times have changed so much over the past two decades in terms of how people consume music that it’s hard to define success by album or single sales. Selling one million albums in 1992 means totally something different from selling one million albums in 2012. In any case, it’s still fun to look at how different artists have charted over the years. Here are the top pop Black artists of the last two decades.
Named one of the best groups of all time, TLC has ten top ten singles, four Grammy Awards, four number one singles and four multi-platinum albums. They have sold 55 million albums and are the best selling R&B female group of all time, and second best selling female group.
I won’t pretend to know Eva Marcille’s whole life in this post but from what I do know of her relationship trajectory in the past few years, it appears the girl is running from something—something being a committed relationship. I know, sounds odd considering she was in fact in a committed, five-year relationship with Lance Gross — sans cheating. But from her recent interview with The Breakfast Club and the pattern her dating life has taken since then, the “top model” might be looking for love instead of looking inside to figure out what it is that’s keeping her from it.
Everyone was surprised when Eva and Lance unexpectedly split in 2010, so naturally Power 105 hosts had her dig right into that breakup this morning. When asked what really went down she said:
We were together for 5 years. When I started dating Lance, I was young and we were definitely in love but I don’t think either one of us were really ready to get married. I know that we were both committed to each other and he didn’t want to be with anyone else. I didn’t want to be with anyone else. So, naturally you feel like the next step is, ‘Let me propose’. So when he proposed, I definitely wanted to be with him, but I wanted to have a long engagement. And then, a year and a half [later], the wedding is coming up and we just wasn’t ready. He didn’t do anything wrong, he never cheated on me, I never cheated on him. He’s still a great guy. Whoever ends up dating him is gonna be very lucky. It just wasn’t my moment.
My first question after hearing Eva’s explanation was whose timeline were they judging their relationship by? Often, in a long relationship, you’ll hear one partner lament that they were ready to take things to the next level and the other partner wasn’t but it appears Lance and Eva were actually fine with how things were until they started adjusting their relationship according to what they thought they should be doing instead of what felt right for them. It’s not hard to see why that didn’t work out, but since then Eva has taken her love life in a completely different direction.
After Lance, Eva had a very public, and somewhat quick, relationship with rapper Flo Rida. Taking the conversation a very different route, Eva remarked that there was no way he left her for Melissa Ford because “[Melissa] realized that he had money after I dated him and decided that she wanted him. A lot of times women don’t give guys the credit necessary until they understand their bank account. And so, seeing that obviously I dated him, to other women that tells them that he must have money, or that he must be more successful than you thought. So now he’s eligible.” I saw a little gold digger red flag raise while reading that, but what’s even more interesting is what she attributes the breakdown of the relationship to:
“I didn’t want anything too serious. Flo is a great guy [….] but I had just come out of a very serious relationship and he got really holy on me and wanted to go to church all of the time and I was just trying to kick it. So, then he wanted to take me to church. Then the preacher was like, ‘You guys are gonna get married,’ and when I heard the marriage line I was just like whoaaaa.”
Again, just because the preacher said the two were going to get married didn’t mean it was etched in the tablet of life — or that it had to happen the next day. I’m confused what it is she was running from, and if rather than having her heart broken, as she told Sister 2 Sister magazine earlier this month, she’s been breaking her own heart by being scared to commit. Publisher Jamie Foster Brown asked Eva about a tattoo she has of a gun with four bullets which symbolizes each of the men who broke her heart and she said:
“I have a .38 Special on my left hip, and it’s modeled, actually, after my own revolver, and it’s a symbol of me now protecting myself and guarding myself. It’s a symbol that I’m going to take my heart and my relationships more seriously and I’m gonna have more control over them. Because I literally have been broken so bad that I felt it was like a gunshot.”
I think that’s an amazing idea, and though I have to openly admit I’m being a bit judgmental when I say this, I’m not sure the latest man is proof of Eva taking her heart more seriously. The now-reality TV star told The Breakfast Club of her current flavor of the year:
“I’m dating this guy, He is from Jamaica. He lives in LA. Very regular guy. Super regular. Gold teeth, tattoos. [He is] a music producer. He is just grinding out. He is on the come up.”
Now gold teeth and tattoos don’t automatically cancel a man out, but when the reason Eva decided to give him a chance is just because he had the cojones to send her bottles at the bar while she was in the company of other men and “can get them for free” — oh and he shut down a Steakhouse and “got a little respect in the city” — I have to wonder where her head, and heart, really are. She seems to have gone from a man she considered a “great guy” who was stable and making a commitment to her, to playing around with a guy whose money she appeared more interested in than his commitment to God, to now chilling with a guy who’s putting on for the city. Not to mention a guy who, in an upcoming clip for her new reality show “Girlfriend Confidential LA,” left her in a fit of tears when he couldn’t be there for her when she needed him.
All I’m saying is this doesn’t sound like a woman guarding her heart, especially when she’s taking a chance on her relationship failing under the all too real reality TV curse. It sounds like a woman on the way to adding another bullet to her tattoo because she isn’t comfortable being with men who really value her and want to make the commitment to her that she’s too scared to give back. What do you think?

Brandy recently gushed about her relationship with Ryan Press on Wendy Williams and admitted that she’s in love with the producer who has to be a relative of Laz Alonzo on somebody’s side. And while the relationship is new to us, according to Star magazine, these two have been going strong for quite some time and they’re even ready to take things to the next level. Here’s what they wrote in the Jan. 23 issue:
“Will wedding bells soon ring for Brandy Norwood? She finally flaunted her hush-hush romance with music producer Ryan Presson at Las Vegas’ Cosmopolitan casino over New Year’s. And pals believe the singer, 32, has found The One. ‘They’ve been going strong for two years,’ says an insider, who replied without hesitation when asked if marriage is in the cards:’Yep!’”
Hold on, how many years? Does anyone else remember Brandy being set up on a blind date by her best friend Shay on Season 2 of “Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business,” and all the talk about being ready to get back in the dating world? She was even linked to Flo Rida in mid 2010 and said that “he’s somebody in my life, and I’m definitely interested.” We could let that go with a technicality and assume her and Laz Jr.’s relationship is coming close to a two-year anniversary and her friends just like to round up, but that would mean she had to jump straight from Flo to Ryan. We can also assume somebody has been lying, and it’s not her friends.
If Brandy is being a little sketchy about this relationship it wouldn’t be the first time. Remember that whole fake “non-traditional marriage” fiasco when she claimed to have had some sort of spiritual union with her daughter’s father, Robert Smith? Most people assumed it was to protect her innocent image at the time, now she may have been doing just the opposite to boost ratings for her reality show. There was also that whole I’m celibate, but not really controversy. I need Brandy to either tell the truth when she talks about her relationships or not say anything at all because in most cases, whenever she talks, she ends up looking ridiculous in the end.
What do you think? Is Brandy’s relationship timeline a little off or do you think she was was just claiming to date Flo Rida and other men on her show for ratings?

Love is a beautiful thing, especially black love. When it works, (see Will & Jada) it can be a source of inspiration, and when it doesn’t, well, it can become a spectacle (see Whitney & Bobby). Some pairings just work (Jay-Z & Beyonce), and some just clash , even when the greater public can see it and the couple can’t. (Michael Jackson & Lisa Marie Presley)But that’s the nature of love! So in the spirit of Valentine’s Day (kind of), let’s take a look at a few of the couples in Hollywood that didn’t give us “awwww” moments, but rather, had us scratching our heads, all in the name of love.
