When I watch a movie, if it’s good, I’m all in. Completely invested, often times too much so. Throughout the duration of the movie, I struggle with the characters. When they laugh, I laugh. When they cry, I cry. I go through it. And if the film is really good, I find myself trying to find solutions to the problems they encountered, long after the movie is over. Some stories and the characters in them just stick with you. This is particularly true when it comes to the “bad guys.” From an early age we think we know who falls into that category and we try to avoid the bad dudes at all costs. But in these memorable movies, the bad guy is thrown in your face. You have to deal with him and sometimes he’s a bit terrifying. See who I’m talking about.

It’s fun to spend all day drooling over our favorite chocolate eye candies like Idris, Common, Lamman, and the list goes on and on. But in order to completely get a good grasp on our fantasy weddings to our luscious boos, we need to imagine how our in-laws will look in our photos, don’t we? Besides that, we also need to give them proper thanks for bringing such beautiful men into the world for us Noirettes to enjoy. So to these fathers and mothers, we say simply, Thank You!

Idris Elba and Winston Elba

We certainly didn’t save the best for last. Idris Elba, as you all know, is the reigning king of Black swexy. His fine balance of swagger, masculinity, good looks and charm make him a first round pick all over the world. The London-raised actor’s father (Winston Elba) is from Sierra Leone and his mother is from Ghana.

So we can’t claim to care too much about sports here at Madame Noire. I know, cliche isn’t it? Well, at least we can say that we admire the commitment of these athletes in keeping up their fine physiques. In honor of the All-Star Game this weekend, we decided to create our own dream team of the finest men of the All-Star players. Now this we consider a worthy cause indeed. Without further ado, here’s our list of seven All-Star players who we want to see on the court during the whole game. We can tell you one thing though – the East definitely boasts much more fineness than the west.

They grow up so fast, don’t they? Once the scrawny Baltimore kid on “The Wire,” Michael B. Jordan has definitely added some weight and muscle to his physique and his career in recent years. After “The Wire,” he went on to play quarterback Vince Howard on Friday Night Lights. He is currently working on NBC’s Parenthood, playing the role of a recovered alcoholic. We don’t know much about Jordan on the personal side, but we know he’s stayed out of trouble and has stayed focus on his acting.

Last week, Lance Gross accidentally tweeted his personal phone number to the masses. Of course he was instantly hit with a barrage of voicemails, text messages and pics. We can only imagine the level of debauchery that appeared on that man’s phone. Goodness.

Lance had this to say about social networking sites and future love prospects:

I mean I love Twitter as an entertainer it’s a way to connect with the fans and I think that’s important. If I had my way, the woman I marry she wouldn’t be a part of Twitter and she wouldn’t be on Facebook. It’s all in what you make of it. It can be a good thing.
