Shayne DeJesus was on her way to work at a shoe store when she was sexually assaulted. The 22 year old college student was waiting for the train on the Union Square Subway platform in New York when she noticed a man was inching closer and closer to her.

It wasn’t long before he was rubbing up against her thigh.

“It was disgusting,” she said. “I felt so violated.”

But it didn’t end there. When the 6 train approached the station the assailant grabbed DeJesus’ shoulder, pushed her head down, lifted her skirt and groped her.

Afterward he walked onto the train and sat down like nothing happened. DeJesus said she became hysterical.

“I yelled that he just groped me. I literally started punching him in the head.”
