Last week, when I was thinking up a cute title for my skin care article, immediately Bebe’s Kids came to mind. “Here’s some lotion for your ashy ankles.” It was the line Jamika (Vanessa Bell Calloway) slung at Robin’s ex wife Dorothea (Myra J.) after the two finally confront Dorothea and her friend in the bathroom. Seeing how a couple readers responded to the title, I was reassured that Bebe’s Kids was not just my movie, it was the movie for black kids running around in the ’90′s. While it bordered on completely inappropriate for children, I know this is probably the only movie I can quote and sing…or rap, from beginning to end. But as much as love to love this movie, I did not know most of these behind the scenes secrets. So hopefully, you’ll learn something as well.

Maybe Anger Management Isn’t Such A Bad Idea: Katt Williams Arrested On Battery Charges (Again)

When Kat Williams makes headlines two times in one week it’s usually not good and this time is no different. Just Sunday we reported that the comedian was being sued for $5 million dollars by his female assistant, Melissa Ishage, for punching her in the face and causing permanent damage. BTW, how do you get so angry that you physically assault one of your employees and a woman no less? Anyway, it looks like Katt’s short temper has landed him in hot water again.

TMZ is reporting that last night the troubled comedian was picked up by police in Oakland, California for questioning stemming from a physical altercation. The San Francisco Gate  is reporting that the altercation involved an 18-year-old Berkley teen.

Williams was arrested on suspicion of assault after he hit a man in the head with a bottle outside a downtown Oakland Hotel, police said Thursday.

Williams, 41, attacked the man aboard a tour bus parked outside the Courtyard Marriott at 988 Broadway shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said. The victim, whose name wasn’t released, suffered a laceration to his head, police said.

Officers found Williams several blocks away and arrested him.

Specifics surrounding what caused the incident are still unknown, but Katt was not released after questioning.

Let us not forget that just one month ago, Katt was accused of pulling out a gun on comedian Faizon Love in front of the Supper Club in Hollywood, California and arrested in Los Angeles. Katt never denied the claims, but proceeded to refer to Love as a “snitch” and  a “bald-faced rat” for going around telling “street business” to TMZ reps.

A warrant was also issued for him by Atlanta Police for an additional battery charge in relation to an altercation that occurred back in 2010.

I’m not sure what Katt’s deal is but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with seeking professional help and he needs to know that. It seems that he has anger issues only prayer and a licensed therapist with a whole lot of patience can work out. A few self-control exercises probably wouldn’t hurt either.

Cuba has brought us a lot of great things, aside from the food and the Rumba though, it has also brought us fine fellas like Laz Alonso and classy sisters like Gina Torres. I was surprised to find that a great number of famous faces are of Cuban descent, and being that you and I both know you want to know who these faces include, here they are! Enjoy!

Faizon Love

Everybody’s favorite chubby funny man (next to Bruce Bruce), is indeed a Cuban fella. While others were born to parents from the country, Love was actually born and lived for some time in Santiago de Cuba before moving to places like San Diego and Newark, NJ. He was actually born Langston Faizon Santisima to a father in the Navy, making him an army brat (hence all the moving around). You might not hear this brotha speak Spanish like that, or even see him break out the Rumba, but he’s indeed a Cuban brother.
