I like to think of makeup as a great smoke and mirrors trick. The key to a perfectly executed makeup application is in the ability to create the illusion of diminished flaws. A great way to do this is by contouring the parts of the face that you want to appear slimmer and highlight the places you want to accentuate. Remember this my dear: light colors (highlight) bring forward and dark colors (contour) recede.

New York Fashion Week has come and gone like the wind and as the Spring 2011 hoopla subsides here in the states, our favorite editors, celebs and socialites have taken over across the pond.
