Erica Dixon and Lil Scrappy get on my nerves. Though I inadvertently gave up on “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” this season, they’ve always been my favorite couple. One, because their story, even though full of drama, seems to be the most plausible. And two because deep in my heart, I want them to be together–forever. I want them to stop playing, like yesterday.
And I say that knowing that Scrappy and his mother are not about the right. Scrappy is determined to keep slanging his penis all over town and Mama Dee is hellbent on sabotaging their relationship by any means necessary. Oh, and he’s currently dating Bambi.
But at the end of the day I really want them to be together. And apparently, I’m not the only one. Based on a VH1 poll, 85 percent of voters around the nation want these two to make it work. Duh! Everyone can see there’s still love there.
And after catching clips of the estranged couple flirting heavily with one another on camera, it didn’t come as much of a surprise that they were getting down and dirty behind the scenes.
Erica told one of the producers: Two weeks ago. We weren’t intimate. I just let him taste it. We didn’t have intercourse but it was oral, down there.
Erica even pulled out a hotel receipt on stage to corroborate her story because she knew Scrappy would lie to the cameras about their recent trysts. The hotel receipt was from a few weeks ago but before that, Dixon said Scrappy visited her at her house. They had a few drinks and badda bing, badda boom, Erica received an oral transaction.
But Scrappy denied it and the producers and Erica insisted he take a lie detector test.
Scrappy failed the lie detector test, of course and offered a pathetic, “I don’t remember” as an explanation.
And while such shenanigans might upset most girlfriends, Bambi seemed unbothered.
“Some days I don’t want to be with him. We just gotta ratchet situation. We’re dating. We have great times together, but I ain’t trying to marry this ni&&a.”
Whew! This is such a hot mess.
And while Scrappy lying on the mother of his child and double dipping should make me want better for Erica, I just can’t shake the idea that they were meant to be. I want Scrappy to grow up, I want them to figure out how to make it work and be one big happy family.
Is there too much mess to sift through though?

Though known most for their larger than life personalities, crazy drama, and wild antics, reality television stars are more than just primetime entertainment. Many of them have successfully launched their own entrepreneurial ventures, helping them to branch out beyond the television world. One example is Erica Dixon, cast member on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and founder of Klass 6 Hair and Klass 6 Dress Line.
We caught up with Erica to ask her about the inspiration behind the “Klass” lines, what’s she learning about running a business, and advice she has for ladies who want to start their own ventures. Check out the interview below.
MadameNoire (MN): How did your experience on Love and Hip Hop inspire you to start Klass 6?
Erica Dixon (ED): Being on a reality show, seeing others have that motivation to go ahead and pursue whatever their dreams or aspirations were [inspired me]. Klass 6 was something that I always wanted to do. I wanted to put something out there for the ladies. With Love and Hip Hop, I had that platform [and audience] to go ahead and do it. I told myself that I was procrastinating. What was I waiting for? Let me go ahead and do it.
MN: What made you focus on fashion and hair with Klass 6?
ED: I did hair and fashion because that is what I am all about. I’m a female. I love to have my hair done and I love to have on a bada$$ dress. I’m not going to sell a dress or hair to somebody that I wouldn’t wear or buy. When you see me, I always have my hair in. I may not always have on one of my dresses. I do like to help other brands, but the majority of the time, you will see me with my own products.
If you caught “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” last night, chances are you saw Erica Dixon break up with her model boyfriend, O’Shea Russell. Though it seems like there were several factors that contributed to the couple’s split, a major aspect of their romantic demise stemmed from financial problems. As fans have witnessed since episode one of the new season, O’Shea has been depending on Erica for some forms of financial support and she finally became fed up with it.
“I definitely feel like a man should be the provider in a relationship,” Erica recently told VH1. “Just learning from my dad, I felt my dad always provided even to this day- that’s just what [a man] does. I feel like if you fall I’m definitely there to pick you up and help put the pieces all back together. But it was like O’Shea never wanted to put it back together, it was just like everything was on me and that’s a lot.”
Erica adds that in addition to realizing that moving forward would mean continuing to support O’Shea, it dawned on her that it would also mean supporting his three children.
“It wasn’t just O’Shea, it’s O’Shea and his three kids, and then it’s my daughter of course. I only have one child. I would’ve had four other kids to take care of, and I wasn’t ready.”
As for those who are wondering how Erica even got involved with a man who would look to a woman to support him, the single mom insists that O’Shea wasn’t always this way.
“I feel like in our relationship he got very comfortable after the car accident, he broke his leg in three places and he had to get several surgeries and I was there to support him but I just feel like once he got back on his feet he didn’t like he just lost that drive and ambition to be a man and take care of his woman and his kids.”
After awhile, the reality TV star realized that she was being taken advantage of.
“It would usually be ‘I forgot my wallet,’ or ‘I don’t have any cash.’ At first you don’t really think about it, because you’re in a relationship. Then it just got to the point where it’s like let me know before hand and not after we’re out and we done had fun. Finally I got to the point where I’m like you’re my man and your supposed to be the provider. I’m thinking you have it and it’s like, ‘Oh baby you’ve got your card?’ What if I was just as broke as him what was we gonna do? Cause I wasn’t going to wash dishes.”
Aside from his financial struggles, it appears the O’Shea was good to Erica, but over time, his money problems weighed down the relationship.
“When we did meet, we were friends. What people don’t understand is regardless of what happened between us I can honestly say we’ve had our moments when he has fought for me, and he treated me like a queen. He made me feel like I was his queen – no additional women, no side relationships, no side friendships. He gave me that. That’s something that Scrappy could never give to me ever.”
And for those who are thinking that their dramatic split was just a stunt for ratings, Erica insists that they are really over.
Were you happy to see her kick him to the curb?
Last month former Crime Mob rapper Diamond did an interview where she accused ex-boyfriend, Lil’ Scrappy, of physically abusing her during their relationship.
“He was mentally abusive, physically abusive,” she told The Breakfast Club. “We fought, like you ain’t beatin’ my a**. Yeah, he got some issues. Some demons, he needs some help.”
Shortly after her interview aired, Scrappy and his outspoken mother, Momma Dee, came forward to deny her allegations. Now, the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star’s ex-fiancée, Erica Dixon, is also calling BS on Diamond’s accusations. According to Erica, Diamond is simply seeking to gain attention and attract viewers to her new Oxygen reality show, “Sisterhood of Hip Hop.”
“I feel like she’s saying that because she needs a little shine,” the mom and reality star told Hello Beautiful. “If that’s the case, why are you just now speaking about this? This was something you would never speak about at the time so why are speaking out now? Oh you’re on a new reality show. I’m not dumb by a long shot. I get it.”
“You get into little arguments and spats with your dude, but him just being outright abusive. I’m sorry. I was there before you and after you. Did I miss something?”
Erica went on to say that she was completely thrown off by Diamond saying that she helped raise her daughter, Emani.
“The only thing was that I had a problem with was that she said she raised my daughter. [Emani's] mom and dad have always been there. Period. I was around when he was in a relationship with her.”
Erica also sent what appears to be a warning to Diamond about spreading lies.
“Diamond, you and I both know how that relationship went and things that went on. I could do an interview and put so much out there, but for what? Keep it real. You don’t have to fabricate anything to make yourself look a certain way.”
If at several points during the last season of “Love & Hip Hop” you felt the urge to holler out “When are Joseline and Stevie coming back?” you’ll be pleased to know the season three of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” returns to VH1 May 5. If you thought last season was crazy, prepare to have your mind blown because this just may be Mona Scott-Young’s messiest work of art to date.
For one, things have gotten so crazy with the other cast members that in comparison to everyone else, Joseline and Stevie are looking like a normal married couple. Despite publicly begging for his wife’s forgiveness, it looks like Kirk Frost is still up to his old tricks. Not only does he question the paternity of his son, Karter, but he goes as far as to secretly swab the baby for DNA testing.
It turns out that all of those rumors about MiMi Faust and Nikko having a sex tape floating around are true as well. While both MiMi and Nikko seem to at least pretend that they don’t know how the tape got out, Stevie appears to believe that Nikko leaked it. And then, there’s Scrappy who may have a baby on the way by another woman whom it appears that he cheated on Bambi with. So prepare to witness the deterioration of their very brief relationship.
Witness the insanity for yourself on the next page.
You know how it goes with Erica and Lil Scrappy. One minute the “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” couple is on and the next they’re not. And since their split last season both of them have been in publicized relationships. But now…the two are simultaneously single. So of course folks are speculating that they might be getting back together. And recent pictures are adding fuel to that rumored fire.
Yesterday, Erica posted this picture of Scrappy and their daughter Emani asleep in bed with this caption.
Why they sleep though? #waittilltheyseethis @emanirichardson is really gonna be mad. #morning #familyandfriends #teamnosleep
Immediately, folks started rumors. A fake Erica Dixon posted this picture with the following caption on a fake Facebook page.
Erica was quick to get on Twitter and let folks know that she didn’t write that. But she did post the picture. After this one she posted pictures of she and Emani on vacation in Florida, so perhaps Scrappy joined them. If that is indeed the case, that would have been nice. Erica and Scrappy are often a hot mess together but you can tell they’re both invested in raising their child the right way and I respect that.
On another note, I know I may be in the minority here but I really like Scrappy and Erica together. It always seemed to me like a majority of their problems stemmed from Mama Dee’s meddling behind… Oh and the fact that he was probably cheating. Yeah, he’s been dead wrong. Sigh. Who knows. We’ll have to see how this all plays out.
Do you think there’s a chance that Erica and Scrappy would get back together? Do you like them together?
Salon Owner Explains Canceling Scrappy’s Daughter’s Birthday Party & Responds To ‘Racist’ Allegations
A few days ago we told you about “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Darryl “Lil’ Scrappy” Richardson’s beef with an Atlanta girls’ salon owner. In case you missed it, last Sunday the 30-year-old father planned a celebration for his daughter, Emani’s ninth birthday. However, Scrappy says that after showing up to the Glamour Girls Day Spa twenty minutes late, Emani and her guests were turned away. Scrappy accused the salon of turning them away because they are black, but now salon owner Angela Shannon is saying there’s way more to that story.
For one, Angela tells TMZ that she was forced to cancel the party at 3 p.m. because Scrappy and his family showed up to the event two hours late. She adds that she couldn’t wait for them any longer because she had other guests waiting. Angela also says that her decision to move on had nothing to do with race. As for the down payment that the reality star paid to the venue, the salon owner claims she has returned the full $247.42 to him.
Their stories conflict so much that it’s difficult to tell what actually happened. There’s a huge difference between twenty minutes and two hours.
Emani Richardson, daughter of “Love & Hip Hop” Atlanta stars Darryl “Lil’ Scrappy” Richardson and Erica Dixon, turned nine today. But instead of basking in the glow of her fabulous birthday party, which was scheduled to take place yesterday evening, she’s forced to remember how her big celebration came to a screeching halt.
According to TMZ, Scrappy put a down payment for a small 2.5-hour celebration at a girls’ salon, which is located just outside of Atlanta. However, when he showed up to the venue with Erica and Emani 20 minutes late, he says the owners refused to let them in.
Of course shutting down a children’s party for such a simple matter seems a bit harsh, but Scrappy says their tardiness had nothing to do with it. According to the “Love & Hip Hop” star, his family wasn’t granted admission into the venue because the owners and employees are “racist.” He went on to say that when he’d argued that he already made a down payment for the party, he was told by the people running the venue—who are white—that the establishment had no interest in serving “you people.”
Cops were later called to the scene because Scrappy refused to leave without a refund. Once they arrived, they were able to recover half of Scrappy’s down payment and the venue reportedly agreed to mail him the remaining balance.
Poor Emani. Hopefully Scrappy and Erica are able to throw another party for her.
Erica Dixon Speaks On Possibly Reuniting With Scrappy And “Going Across The Street,” Aka, Dating White Men
I know I can’t be the only one who really likes Erica Dixon out of all the out-of-order and confuzzled (how I say confused) cast of characters on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. She’s quite the beauty and seems most concerned about her role as a mother, and doesn’t take crap from anybody (including Lil Scrappy’s mother, Momma Dee). Since the show has been on break, Dixon has been on the low low. We knew that she was seeing a handsome male model named Oshea Russell, but according to the LHHATL star, they’re done. So is there a possibility that she could reconnect with Scrappy soon now that he’s done with Bambi (but not necessarily Shay)? In an interview with Big Tigger at V-103 in Atlanta, she didn’t sound too confident about all that, but in the end, she says never say never…
Big Tigger: “Rumor has it, you don’ left the old dude and you and Scrappy are back together and he left Bambi. What’s going on?”
Erica Dixon: “Erica Dixon is single [laughs]. Notice I said I am currently single. Yes. And I’m living, I’m working, focused on my daughter and focused on my [line of dresses]. That’s what Erica is doing right now. If something comes along, then okay.”
Tigger: “In your heart of hearts, do you ever see a path that might lead back down Lil Scrappy’s street.”
Dixon: “Well I’ve always been told you always look forward and move forward. You don’t go backwards. That’s what I’ve always been told.”
Tigger: “Do you believe in what you’ve been told?”
Dixon: “Yes, I definitely do. But at the same time people do change and evolve for the better, you know, so you never know what the future holds but currently I am single.”
Tigger: “You are single. Fellas pay attention.”
Dixon: “I like white boys too [laughs]”
Tigger: “You goin’ across the street!?”
Dixon: “Yes, I’m going across the street.”
Tigger: “How dare you cross the street! [laughs]“
I’ve never heard of the phrase, “cross the street.” The more you know…By the way, you should check out Dixon’s site for dresses, called Klass6. They’re a bit too bodycon-ish for my taste, but they’re not bad.
But anywho, do you think Erica and Scrappy should reunite?
It appears that the seemingly never-ending soap opera/love affair between Love & Hip Hop Atlanta stars Erica Dixon and Lil’ Scrappy has officially come to an end. Scrappy has been rather open about his relationship with Basketball Wives: LA star Bambi and Erica can’t seem to get enough of her new model beau, O’Shea Russell. During a recent interview with Mara The Hip Hop Socialite, Erica spilled on her blossoming relationship with O’Shea, what her daughter Emani thinks of him and reacted to those ridiculous homewrecker rumors initiated by Scrappy at the reunion show. Check out her interview highlights below.
On making things official with her new boo, O’Shea Russell:
“We met over Memorial Day weekend, and we was just cool, just friends. You know, just talking and kicking it. One thing led to another, and we both started developing feelings for each other, so we just made it official.”
“He’s recovering right now from a car accident; he got hit by a car, so right now, he’s just healing from a car accident. He was actually walking and got hit. He’s doing a lot better, a lot better.”
On what she loves most about him:
“He’s a man of God, that’s what I love the most about him; he’s a man of God. You know we pray together, and we just keep God first and foremost in our relationship and in everything we do.”
On if he’s met her daughter, Emani:
“Yes, he’s met Emani, and she likes him, so I’m happy about that.”
On Scrappy claiming that she was pregnant by a married man:
“The crazy thing about it is on the reunion show, Scrappy said Erica was messing with a married man. Shay does interviews and says Erica was messing with a married man and got pregnant by a married man and got an abortion. She took it to a whole other level. Then again, I keep her relevant, so she has to keep my name in her mouth. But for Scrappy, that was like an all time low. It’s like really, you want to get on her and say this? And in the past, he has said and done stuff, and I’ve told him like that’s below the belt. Certain stuff you do, if you’re going to do it, it’s plain out to me, it’s just hatred. And to me, that means that you don’t want nothing to do with this person if you’re going to try and lie and really throw somebody under the bus, you don’t want nothing to do with them period. He has a tendency of doing things like that, and coming back and apologizing, which he did. Because right after the taping of the reunion, of course you guys didn’t know, he apologized. He was just like, ‘I’m sorry – I was hurt. I just let my emotions get the best of me. Everybody thinks you’re perfect.’ I never said I was perfect, but never have I messed with a married man and got pregnant and had an abortion. Like come on, really?”
On Momma Dee’s refusal to leave the reunion show taping during Emani’s emergency:
“We don’t talk; I don’t talk to her, period. At all, so my thing is…as you know when my daughter, during the taping of the reunion, my daughter got attacked by a dog, and I’m about being real. I mean attacked and bitten on her lip to where she had to get, it was either 6 or 7 stitches. If you put on this image where you’re just grandmother of the year, for you to say, ‘oh I’m not leaving; I’m going to stay and tape the reunion.’ You know, we up and left. They didn’t show it, but I ran off stage when I found out that happened to my daughter. You know yourself how she puts on about my child, and if you loved her that much, and she was just so important, you would have left too. That’s just how I feel. I mean, she didn’t move. My mom left, I left, and of course, Scrappy left. I haven’t heard from her, she hasn’t called and ask how she’s doing, I mean nothing. Then again, she does see her dad, so I don’t know if she’s reached out to Scrappy or what, but she never reached out as far as I know.”
