Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Erica Dixon

The first thing I tell Erica Dixon of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” is that I have never watched the show. It’s a lie. I tried to watch it once and had to stop after about 10 minutes. It was just too real for me. So outside of knowing what Erica looks like I don’t know much about her.
“I’m the voice of reason,” she says, explaining her role on the show. I always try to give my cast mates the best advice.”
It’s a role that must keep her busy because one doesn’t have to watch the show to know the drama is legendary. People love to hate them, which makes me wonder how she deals with some of the more negative feedback.
“I’m a tough cookie. The only thing that really bothers me is when people target my child or have something to say about the decisions I make when it comes to her.” Erica’s daughter Emani is 10-years-old.
“Plus,” she adds, “there’s a lot of editing on the show so you have to take the good with the bad and use it as a platform, and keep going.”
In Erica’s case, this platform set the stage for the launch of a series of children’s books called “Southern Bell Book Series” based on her life. She says, “It was important for me to tell my own story because you only get bits and pieces of it on the show.”
Bell, the books lead, lives far from a fairytale life. It’s the type of book that Erica wishes she would have had while growing up with a mom addicted to drugs.
“You have kids in elementary school committing suicide because they think they are the only ones going through something. But if they can read a book about someone who went through something similar and came out of it, they can see that it’s going to be ok.”
Erica has turned out more than okay, but it hasn’t been an easy road.
She was just six-years-old when she and her brother, just one year older, were sent from Atlanta to New York. It was her grandmother’s sister and her husband that stepped in when her mom was sent to prison, and her father was lost to alcohol.
 Introducing Southern Bell
It was a scary transition for both of them because they had no idea what to expect. Fortunately, living with her aunt and uncle was the best thing that could ever happen to them. They went from a diet that often included butter and sugar sandwiches to eating meals everyday, going to school everyday, and getting their hair combed everyday.
Erica and her brother would grow to love life in New York, enjoying Girl Scouts, their own room, church activities, and a community of friends who all knew each other.
“These were big things to me,” Erica explains, “I learned what’s supposed to be done as a mother.” She also learned what type of mother she would one day like to be.
Everything, however, came to a screeching halt just a week before Erica’s 14th birthday when her uncle died suddenly of a brain aneurysm. Shortly after, her mom got released from prison and wanted them back in Georgia.
“We begged my aunt to stay in New York, but between her husband dying and my mom asking for us there wasn’t much she could do.”
And just like that, they were headed back to Decatur, Georgia, facing yet another transition. She found herself sharing a room with her mother while her brother was sharing a room with an uncle. School was another challenge. “Going to a private Catholic school in New York, we had never experienced fighting. In Decatur, a kid brought a gun to school, my brother got robbed…I stayed home a lot.”
Ironically, it was weekends with a now responsible father that she and her brother would begin to look forward to. Within a year, they were moving in with him full-time and Erica would remain with him until she graduated high school.
Wow, what a rollercoaster of a story! “Tell me more,” I ask her.
“No,” she says, laughing, “I want you to read the book. That’s the whole point. It’s going to come in seven installments and end with a BOOM POW tell-all.”
An inspirational book for kids and a tell-all?

Lil Scrappy Ordered To Stay Away From Erica For A Whole Year

Earlier, we reported that an Atlanta judge granted Erica Dixon a temporary protective order against the father of her child and former fiancé, Darryl “Lil Scrappy” Richardson.

In that article we mentioned that at a later date, a judge would decide whether or not the protective order would be permanent.

According to our sister site, Bossip, a decision has been reached. On Wednesday, the judge had reason to believe Erica’s claims and signed a “family violence” protective order, preventing Lil Scrappy from being within 100 yards of Dixon for the next full year.

She told the court that Richardson assaulted her, “aggressively attempted to attack me and had to be restrained on several occasions. During a scheduled work related filming, the respondent became enraged during a conversation while attempting to attack me and further throwing an object at me.”

Dixon said that she’s scared of what Scrappy might do. “Although we meet to exchange custody of our daughter, I am extremely uncomfortable doing so after his erratic behavior.”

In addition to the alleged violence, Dixon is seeking sole custody of their 10-year-old daughter Emani and is asking the courts to require Scrappy to get tested for drugs and alcohol, and go to rehab.

What’s Scrappy’s take on this situation? He said that Emani has lived with him for the past 2 year.  He took it a step further saying that he was scared of Erica. He said she dissed him in front of their daughter, won’t speak to him and refused to co-parent with him.

We haven’t been privy to the ins and outs of Erica and Scrappy’s relationship. But it’s a shame that things are transpiring the way they are with these two, particularly when they have a daughter to raise.

Erica Dixon Granted Restraining Order Against Lil Scrappy

From lovers to friends to enemies.

It may be a while before Darryl “Lil Scrappy” Richardson is reunited with his daughter, Emani Richardson, who he claims is being kept away from him by his ex-fiancée, Erica Dixon.

According to our sister publication, Bossip, an Atlanta judge granted Dixon’s request for a temporary protective order against Richardson after she claimed that the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star committed family violence. Dixon claims that things got so bad with the “No Problems” rapper that she now fears for her life.

Apparently, the judge felt that the single mother provided enough evidence to the courts to grant her the temporary order. A hearing concerning this matter has been scheduled for August 12. It will be then that a judge will decide whether or not the order should be made a permanent one.

Reportedly, Richardson was served on July 22 with court-ordered documents informing him that he’s prohibited from coming near Dixon, or he will be immediately thrown in jail.

As previously reported, Richardson and Dixon are enthralled in a custodial/child support battle over their daughter, and Richardson has accused Dixon of keeping the girl away from him to be spiteful.

Interestingly, over a year ago Dixon all but called Richardson’s ex-girlfriend, Brittany “Diamond” Carpentero, a liar when the former Crime Mob rapper accused him of abusing her during their relationship.

“He was mentally abusive, physically abusive,” Carpentero told The Breakfast Club. “We fought, like you ain’t beatin’ my a**. Yeah, he got some issues. Some demons, he needs some help.”

Shortly after Carpentero’s interview aired, Dixon offered her two cents on the allegations made by the 27-year-old.

“I feel like she’s saying that because she needs a little shine,” said Dixon. “You get into little arguments and spats with your dude, but him just being outright abusive. I’m sorry. I was there before you and after you. Did I miss something?”

We hate to see domestic disputes get this ugly, especially when children are involved. Hopefully, something can be worked out between these two for the sake of Emani.

Sorry Scrappy: Erica Dixon Has A New Man

The last time “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star Erica Dixon found a new love interest, she happily displayed him on her Instagram account, and he became her new boo on the reality show. Unfortunately, that individual, O’Shea Russell, was a cheapskate who we all slowly but surely started to realize was using her. She soon dumped him and kept it pushing.

Since then she’s been sassy and single, occasionally entertaining the foolishness of her ex Scrappy (whom she let go down on her while dating Bambi according to her statements during the “LHHATL” reunion). But it seems that since the show stopped filming, she’s found someone knew that she’s enjoying spending time with, and he’s 23-year-old Buffalo Bills safety, Duke Williams.

Dixon just made him her “Man Crush Monday” and called him “my hitta,” but on his page, he’s posted images of her encouraging followers to support her dress collection (Klass 6), as well as images of them hanging out. She also took part in the ALS challenge at his home, and has been spotted riding around with the handsome NFL baller.

Whatever is going on with these two, they look good together! Check out more pics of Erica and Duke below:

“It’s Monday right! Go ahead and give my hitta a follow @duke27_ #getthosenumbersup”
“Thanks for coming out to the game shawty.. @msericadixon”

“I Just Let Him Taste It” Erica Dixon Reveals She Has Been Intimate With Scrappy Recently

Erica Dixon and Lil Scrappy get on my nerves. Though I inadvertently gave up on “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” this season, they’ve always been my favorite couple. One, because their story, even though full of drama, seems to be the most plausible. And two because deep in my heart, I want them to be together–forever. I want them to stop playing, like yesterday.

And I say that knowing that Scrappy and his mother are not about the right. Scrappy is determined to keep slanging his penis all over town and Mama Dee is hellbent on sabotaging their relationship by any means necessary. Oh, and he’s currently dating Bambi.

But at the end of the day I really want them to be together. And apparently, I’m not the only one. Based on a VH1 poll, 85 percent of voters around the nation want these two to make it work. Duh! Everyone can see there’s still love there.

And after catching clips of the estranged couple flirting heavily with one another on camera, it didn’t come as much of a surprise that they were getting down and dirty behind the scenes.

Erica told one of the producers:  Two weeks ago. We weren’t intimate. I just let him taste it. We didn’t have intercourse but it was oral, down there.

Erica even pulled out a hotel receipt on stage to corroborate her story because she knew Scrappy would lie to the cameras about their recent trysts. The hotel receipt was from a few weeks ago but before that, Dixon said Scrappy visited her at her house. They had a few drinks and badda bing, badda boom, Erica received an oral transaction.

But Scrappy denied it and the producers and Erica insisted he take a lie detector test.

Scrappy failed the lie detector test, of course and offered a pathetic, “I don’t remember” as an explanation.

And while such shenanigans might upset most girlfriends, Bambi seemed unbothered.

“Some days I don’t want to be with him. We just gotta ratchet situation. We’re dating. We have great times together, but I ain’t trying to marry this ni&&a.”

Whew! This is such a hot mess.

And while Scrappy lying on the mother of his child and double dipping should make me want better for Erica, I just can’t shake the idea that they were meant to be. I want Scrappy to grow up, I want them to figure out how to make it work and be one big happy family.

Is there too much mess to sift through though?

Erica Dixon Dishes On Branching Into Entrepeneurship With Klass 6 Hair & Dress Lines

Though known most for their larger than life personalities, crazy drama, and wild antics, reality television stars are more than just primetime entertainment. Many of them have successfully launched their own entrepreneurial ventures, helping them to branch out beyond the television world. One example is  Erica Dixon, cast member on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and founder of  Klass 6 Hair and Klass 6 Dress Line.

We caught up with Erica to ask her about the inspiration behind the “Klass” lines, what’s she learning about running a business, and advice she has for ladies who want to start their own ventures. Check out the interview below.

MadameNoire (MN): How did your experience on Love and Hip Hop inspire you to start Klass 6?

Erica Dixon (ED): Being on a reality show, seeing others have that motivation to go ahead and pursue whatever their dreams or aspirations were [inspired me]. Klass 6 was something that I always wanted to do. I wanted to put something out there for the ladies. With Love and Hip Hop, I had that platform [and audience] to go ahead and do it. I told myself that I was procrastinating. What was I waiting for? Let me go ahead and do it.

MN: What made you focus on fashion and hair with Klass 6?

ED: I did hair and fashion because that is what I am all about. I’m a female. I love to have my hair done and I love to have on a bada$$ dress. I’m not going to sell a dress or hair to somebody that I wouldn’t wear or buy.  When you see me, I always have my hair in. I may not always have on one of my dresses. I do like to help other brands, but the majority of the time, you will see me with my own products.

Erica Dixon Explains Dumping Her Financially Challenged Boo: ‘A Man Should Be The Provider’

If you caught “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” last night, chances are you saw Erica Dixon break up with her model boyfriend, O’Shea Russell. Though it seems like there were several factors that contributed to the couple’s split, a major aspect of their romantic demise stemmed from financial problems. As fans have witnessed since episode one of the new season, O’Shea has been depending on Erica for some forms of financial support and she finally became fed up with it.

“I definitely feel like a man should be the provider in a relationship,” Erica recently told VH1. “Just learning from my dad, I felt my dad always provided even to this day- that’s just what [a man] does. I feel like if you fall I’m definitely there to pick you up and help put the pieces all back together. But it was like O’Shea never wanted to put it back together, it was just like everything was on me and that’s a lot.”

Erica adds that in addition to realizing that moving forward would mean continuing to support O’Shea, it dawned on her that it would also mean supporting his three children.

“It wasn’t just O’Shea, it’s O’Shea and his three kids, and then it’s my daughter of course. I only have one child. I would’ve had four other kids to take care of, and I wasn’t ready.”

As for those who are wondering how Erica even got involved with a man who would look to a woman to support him, the single mom insists that O’Shea wasn’t always this way.

“I feel like in our relationship he got very comfortable after the car accident, he broke his leg in three places and he had to get several surgeries and I was there to support him but I just feel like once he got back on his feet he didn’t like he just lost that drive and ambition to be a man and take care of his woman and his kids.”

After awhile, the reality TV star realized that she was being taken advantage of.

“It would usually be ‘I forgot my wallet,’ or ‘I don’t have any cash.’ At first you don’t really think about it, because you’re in a relationship. Then it just got to the point where it’s like let me know before hand and not after we’re out and we done had fun. Finally I got to the point where I’m like you’re my man and your supposed to be the provider. I’m thinking you have it and it’s like, ‘Oh baby you’ve got your card?’ What if I was just as broke as him what was we gonna do? Cause I wasn’t going to wash dishes.”

Aside from his financial struggles, it appears the O’Shea was good to Erica, but over time, his money problems weighed down the relationship.

“When we did meet, we were friends. What people don’t understand is regardless of what happened between us I can honestly say we’ve had our moments when he has fought for me, and he treated me like a queen. He made me feel like I was his queen – no additional women, no side relationships, no side friendships. He gave me that. That’s something that Scrappy could never give to me ever.”

And for those who are thinking that their dramatic split was just a stunt for ratings, Erica insists that they are really over.

Were you happy to see her kick him to the curb?

‘She Needs A Little Shine:’ Erica Dixon Doesn’t Believe Scrappy Abused Diamond

Last month former Crime Mob rapper Diamond did an interview where she accused ex-boyfriend, Lil’ Scrappy, of physically abusing her during their relationship.

“He was mentally abusive, physically abusive,” she told The Breakfast Club. “We fought, like you ain’t beatin’ my a**. Yeah, he got some issues. Some demons, he needs some help.”

Shortly after her interview aired, Scrappy and his outspoken mother, Momma Dee, came forward to deny her allegations. Now, the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star’s ex-fiancée, Erica Dixon, is also calling BS on Diamond’s accusations. According to Erica, Diamond is simply seeking to gain attention and attract viewers to her new Oxygen reality show, “Sisterhood of Hip Hop.”

“I feel like she’s saying that because she needs a little shine,” the mom and reality star told Hello Beautiful. “If that’s the case, why are you just now speaking about this? This was something you would never speak about at the time so why are speaking out now? Oh you’re on a new reality show. I’m not dumb by a long shot. I get it.”

“You get into little arguments and spats with your dude, but him just being outright abusive. I’m sorry. I was there before you and after you. Did I miss something?”

Erica went on to say that she was completely thrown off by Diamond saying that she helped raise her daughter, Emani.

“The only thing was that I had a problem with was that she said she raised my daughter. [Emani’s] mom and dad have always been there. Period. I was around when he was in a relationship with her.”

Erica also sent what appears to be a warning to Diamond about spreading lies.

“Diamond, you and I both know how that relationship went and things that went on. I could do an interview and put so much out there, but for what? Keep it real. You don’t have to fabricate anything to make yourself look a certain way.”

Sex, Lies, Videotapes & Paternity Tests: Watch The ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ Season 3 Supertrailer

April 14th, 2014 - By Jazmine Denise Rogers

Scrappy cheats, MiMi is exposed and love triangles ensue in the 'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta' season 3 supertrailer.

If at several points during the last season of “Love & Hip Hop” you felt the urge to holler out “When are Joseline and Stevie coming back?” you’ll be pleased to know the season three of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” returns to VH1 May 5. If you thought last season was crazy, prepare to have your mind blown because this just may be Mona Scott-Young’s messiest work of art to date.

For one, things have gotten so crazy with the other cast members that in comparison to everyone else, Joseline and Stevie are looking like a normal married couple. Despite publicly begging for his wife’s forgiveness, it looks like Kirk Frost is still up to his old tricks. Not only does he question the paternity of his son, Karter, but he goes as far as to secretly swab the baby for DNA testing.

It turns out that all of those rumors about MiMi Faust and Nikko having a sex tape floating around are true as well. While both MiMi and Nikko seem to at least pretend that they don’t know how the tape got out, Stevie appears to believe that Nikko leaked it. And then, there’s Scrappy who may have a baby on the way by another woman whom it appears that he cheated on Bambi with. So prepare to witness the deterioration of their very brief relationship.

Witness the insanity for yourself on the next page.

Back In Her Bed: Are Erica and Lil Scrappy Getting Back Together?

Erica and Lil Scrappy Getting Back Together

You know how it goes with Erica and Lil Scrappy. One minute the “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” couple is on and the next they’re not. And since their split last season both of them have been in publicized relationships. But now…the two are simultaneously single. So of course folks are speculating that they might be getting back together. And recent pictures are adding fuel to that rumored fire.

Yesterday, Erica posted this picture of Scrappy and their daughter Emani asleep in bed with this caption.

Why they sleep though? #waittilltheyseethis @emanirichardson is really gonna be mad. #morning #familyandfriends #teamnosleep

Immediately, folks started rumors. A fake Erica Dixon posted this picture with the following caption on a fake Facebook page.

Source: Twitter

Source: Twitter

Erica was quick to get on Twitter and let folks know that she didn’t write that. But she did post the picture. After this one she posted pictures of she and Emani on vacation in Florida, so perhaps Scrappy joined them. If that is indeed the case, that would have been nice. Erica and Scrappy are often a hot mess together but you can tell they’re both invested in raising their child the right way and I respect that.

On another note, I know I may be in the minority here but I really like Scrappy and Erica together. It always seemed to me like a majority of their problems stemmed from Mama Dee’s meddling behind… Oh and the fact that he was probably cheating. Yeah, he’s been dead wrong. Sigh. Who knows. We’ll have to see how this all plays out.

Do you think there’s a chance that Erica and Scrappy would get back together? Do you like them together?
