Style to Steal or Girl, Stop: Kelly Rowland, Rita Ora, Jessica Alba & More Stunt in London
Greetings Noirette stylistas and fashionistas! To be honest with you, this hasn’t been the most exciting week for fashion. For the most part, a lot of celebs flew overseas to London and thought they’d make their best fashion statements there. Most folks were caught out looking underwhelming, but these four celebrities wore fits that at least caught our eye and kept our attention. Time to figure out if they stood out for being hot or a hot mess. Let’s get started.

Hey hey now! Kelly Rowland attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London this week where she picked up a “Woman of the Year” accolade for being “Best TV personality.” She stunned on the red carpet in this black and white Maria Grachvogel dress. The halter dress was a sleek number that gave the singer/TV personality the chance to showcase her toned arms. She kept the hair straight and sleek as well, wore a simple bangle with a few rings and large hoops and showed folks how to do the statuesque look to a T. Loving the dress, loving the hair (though I probably would have worn it up), and she just looks all around fab. Check out the back too! Steal.

Style to Steal or Girl, Stop: Rachel Roy
WHAAAAAAAT!? Look at your girl Rachel Roy stepping out in style looking very fancy and fashion forward for the Cinema Society & Piaget screening of “W.E.” at The Museum of Modern Art yesterday. We’ve had our ups and downs with Rachel’s looks, but could this one actually wind up being a steal!?
The designer came out the house dressed appropriately for fall in a color-blocked turtleneck sweater that was chic in red, black, white and cream. She tucked that bad boy into what resembled a wrap skirt that was very age appropriate–stopping at her knees but still showing off some leg. On her feet were nude pointed-toe pumps, and in her hand was a gold clutch that provided a little extra life to the look. Her jewelry was minimal, with a large ring, and some studs, and her hair was pulled back into a ponytail with a middle part.
FRESH! I think the whole look is very sophisticated but still funky at the same time. It’s like the perfect business look for the lady in charge, but also the perfect laid back ensemble for a woman who doesn’t feel the need to do the absolute most in front of the cameras. While more jewelry, maybe some bangles of some sort, would have worked, the amount she rocked worked just fine. I love the sweater and the red lip that matches it, and she’s smart, because nude heels can work with almost any colorful or colorless ‘fit. She’s usually a “stop it” for me, but I’m totally stealing this look. Go Rachel!
