When she’s not having fans at the edge of their seat on Scandal (we can’t wait until October 3!), these days, Kerry Washington is out on these red carpets being a sartorial slayer; rocking colors and fabrics that others are too scared to, wearing unique fabrics and patterns, and taking her spot at the front of the Hollywood A-list. And while we’ve noticed her fabulous fashions for a while now, People magazine has also taken notice, and decided to name her the “World’s Best Dressed Woman.” As my co-worker would say, the love for Kerry is real.

When asked by the magazine the key to her style, Washington says, “I like to find balance in an outfit where it doesn’t feel too much of any one thing. It’s not dressing like a nun and it’s also not dressing like I’m in a swimsuit competition. It’s finding the middle ground.”

Runners up behind Washington include Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, Nicole Richie, Zoe Saldana, Emma Stone, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Chastain, Solange, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, and Lily Collins. You can check out the full list over at People.

Washington is definitely one of our favorites and her style is truly impeccable. Check out just a few of our most loved looks from her below and let us know if you agree with the “fixer” winning the title of the “World’s Best Dressed Woman.”

Kristen Stewart Pulls Out Of Movie When Will Smith’s Cast As Love Interest; Thinks He’s A Bit Too Old

I smell a racist…

Kidding! I kid, I kid. That baby isn’t a racist. But seriously, when you think of on-screen chemistry, you probably wouldn’t think that Kristen Stewart and Will Smith could create the spark necessary to carry a movie together. And that seems to be what popped in Stewart’s head recently when she decided to pull out of the new movie Focus starring Will Smith, not because of scheduling conflicts, but because her would-be co-star is too old for her to make love work on-screen. Here’s the skinny:

According to the Huffington Post, the movie is a “con-artist caper.” Here’s the plot according to the Hollywood Reporter:

“Focus is a two-hander about a con man who becomes romantically involved with a novice. He is then thrown off his game when the former flame shows up just as he’s staging an elaborate con in Buenos Aires.”

The movie was originally set to star Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. However, when both actors had to pull out of the project because of other commitments, they were replaced with Academy Award-winner Ben Affleck and Twilight star Kristen Stewart. At one point, Stewart was pretty geeked up about the movie, telling the HuffPo “It’s a comedy. I’m really excited about it.”

Well, she was excited about it until Affleck had to dip out of the movie as well to star in a different picture last December. When the role was finally given to Will Smith, who signed on early this year, it was reported by the Hollywood Reporter in April that she had decided to part ways from the movie. Why? According to Variety, she felt “the age difference between [her and Smith] would be too large a gap.” To clarify, Stewart is 23 while Smith is 44. When Affleck was attached to the movie, she was excited, even though the age difference between them was still substantial–he’s 40.

All of this is interesting considering that just a year ago, Stewart was receiving all kinds of hell from folks for cheating on Robert Pattinson, 27, with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, who is 42. Age ain’t nothin’ but a number Kristen! Especially for her. But honestly, all I want to know is how can you call yourself an actor or actress and pass on a movie because you can’t feign attraction? But then again, the only emotion Stewart is a pro at showing is straight melancholy. Oh well…

No matter whether you think these ladies are fierce fashionistas or look a hot arse mess on the regular, the fashion experts at Vogue have decided that Solo and Zoe were two of the best dressed women out there this year. And in the end, when you’re trying to make a name for yourself as a savvy sartorialist on top of a star, what Vogue says is all that matters, right?

The women were handpicked for rocking and killing it in some of the most stylish ensembles this year, and because they proved that fashion has evolved and isn’t as boring and matchy matchy as it used to be. There was no particular order in the top 10, but Emma Stone, who is on the list, snagged the cover of the “Best Dressed” issue. But as for the sistas on the list, we’re excited that not only are Solange and Zoe listed, but real life NBA wife Kimberly Chandler was picked for her chic looks as well. Isn’t it nice to see an actual basketball wife get notoriety for something more than rachetry? Do your thing Kim! In honor of being part of the new fashion elite, we’ve also decided to share a few of our favorite looks from these ladies below. Whose style do you think is “Best Dressed” worthy? And of course, check out the other women who make up the best dressed according to Vogue. Congrats ladies!
