Almost anytime Pilar Sanders made headlines for her tumultuous relationship with her estranged husband Deion, their dramatic child custody battle or their bitter divorce, Pilar’s “friend” and publicist, Kali Bowyer, was in some way, shape or form on the scene, defending her client. The two were even working on a tell-all book together about Pilar’s alleged abusive relationship with Deion titled, Saving Sanders: The Pilar Sanders Untold Story. It appears that this is all about to change though. A couple of weeks ago, Bowyer released an official statement to Rhymes With Snitch, announcing her resignation as Pilar’s publicist. She claims she resigned because Pilar provided her with “several falsehoods” while they were collaborating for her upcoming tell-all. An excerpt from her statement reads:

“I have officially resigned as the publicist for Ms. Pilar Sanders; it became evident that Pilar was providing me with falsehoods, via a multitude of sources and documents that have been brought to my attention…

I had the pleasure of speaking directly to Mr. Deion Sanders over the weekend, a man who truly showed his character to me during that conversation. Sadly, all I can say is what a horrific situation Pilar has placed her children in and thankfully, they are safe, well provided for and protected now.

As for the coming weeks, I will continue to forward the appropriate information and documentation to Deion’s camp. In addition, a copy of the book will be provided to Mr. Sanders prior to publishing to assure the validity of some sections.”

Not only is Kali cooperating with “Team Deion,”  but according to Rumor Fix, she is also suing Pilar for $180,000 over 10 months of work and loss of commissions “because she flaked on deals.”

“After a long week of thought, I have agreed with my lawyers to file suit against Pilar, not only for the position she has placed me in publicly but also personally and professionally,” Kali said in a statement.

Ouch!

Back in April we told you that Pilar Sanders has partnered up with her longtime friend and publicist, Kali Bowyer to pen an über detailed tell-all book about the alleged violent years Sanders spent with her estranged husband Deion. As previously reported, the book is titled, Saving Sanders: The Pilar Sanders Untold Story and will be written by Bowyer. Mara over at 4UMF has acquired an excerpt from the book- and let’s just say, the ladies are pulling no punches.

In one shocking excerpt, Kali claims that there was a time that Pilar was unable to feed her son and that Deion simply turned his back on them.

“While Pilar was living out of the hotel those few months, scraping by day-to-day. Now don’t get me wrong, she was not staying at some dive – quite the opposite. We had been on the phone talking for quite sometime that day when I heard her son call his father and say to him, ‘Daddy, I’m hungry, and mommy has no money for food.’ After a silent pause, Deion replied to his son, ‘You can eat when I see you next week.’”

In another excerpt, Kali recounts Pilar’s emotional reaction to her children being taken away.

“I’ll never forget the night my phone rang at around 3:30 am. I had answereddead out of my sleep to hear just uncontrollable sobbing from a heartbroken Pilar, who could only mutter the words, ‘Kal, he took my babies.’ As I sat there and cried with her, she was completely devastated and blown away. I do not think this was something she ever imagined in a million years could happen to her. It had been a rough few months – doing my best to combat every attack Deion made. Watching my friend die inside, I refused to sit back at let this happen. I promised Pilar that I would fight for her.”

She also touched on Pilar and Deion’s alleged domestic violence dispute.

“The headline making argument – a joke is more like it. What did not make the headlines is how Deion attempted to kill Pilar by picking up a statue in a fit of rage and hitting her over the head. Thank God her childhood best friend Dee was present in the house to witness the entire fight. After Dee jumped in to try to help Pilar, Deion responded by punching her in the face.”

Saving Sanders is slated to hit shelves fall 2013.

In an interview with Essence.com yesterday, producer Tracey Edmonds opened up about her new YouTube channel, Alright TV (for those really “hungry to be uplifted and inspired”), what films and shows she has in the works, and even talked about programs she’s working on with her boyfriend, Deion Sanders (*shudders*). But the most interesting reveal in the interview was not only her plans to bring us another Jumping The Broom (yay…?), but her also filling us in on that darn Basketball Wives movie she is working on with Shaunie O’Neal, which she says will be positive and uplifting. Good luck with that. Here are some of the highlights from the interview:

On working with her boo, Deion Sanders:

“He’s been wonderful. He’s one of the most positive people I know. On the network, Deion hosts Sports Dad where he comes to the rescue of sports-obsessed dads who are pushing their kids too hard. He’s also doing an inspirational blog. I met Deion through business and had a chance to see the wonderful man he is.”

On working with Issa Rae:

I love Issa Rae! We are doing a choir series with her to take a fun look at everything that happens in a church choir including relationships and choir competitions.

On creating opportunities for positive projects with Alright TV, that Basketball Wives movie in the works, and a Jumping The Broom 2…:

In all honesty, when I first started there were more opportunities for projects of color. There were at least seven distributors doing African-American films. Nowadays, it’s maybe two or three. That leaves fewer slots to get a film through and fewer opportunities to direct or produce. We are seeing the same with television. The good news is things are beginning to segue way online, which is global. A channel like Alright is reaching the entire world on YouTube and a wonderful opportunity to get positive images out to the world. There is a Jumping the Broom sequel in the works and I am also producing a Basketball Wives movie with Shaunie O’Neal. It’s not based on the show and is an uplifting story with a lot of twists.

Still not excited about the prospect of a Basketball Wives movie, nor a Jumping The Broom 2. But I’m all for black folks creating new things and having the ability to do so. Do your thing Tracey!

But speaking of Basketball Wives, there are swirling reports that Basketball Wives LA is getting the axe after the second season’s bad ratings. But if you’re still watching that mess, the Miami version will allegedly be back in August.

You’ve watched Deion and Pilar Sanders’s tumultuous marriage play out in the headlines and pretty soon you’ll be able to cozy up on your favorite sofa, sip tea out of your favorite mug and read Pilar’s firsthand account of how it all went down. The estranged wife of retired NFL star Deion Sanders recently revealed to Hip Hollywood that she is planning to write a tell-all book titled, Saving Sanders: The Pilar Sanders Untold Story, which is said to be about her troubled and “abusive” years spent with Deion.

“I want to be a mentor to other women who have been abused, by sharing my story, my struggles and letting them in, it will not only help heal myself but others experiencing the same trials and struggles as well,” the fitness guru told Hip Hollywood of her forthcoming literary project.

“There are thousands of women fighting for their rights, their children and their own identity out there. We as women and mothers need to ban together to show support for injustice. I will continue my fight as long as I walk this earth, and with Jesus at my side all will prevail,” she continued.

We hear the book will be co-written by her publicist and friend, Kali Bowyer, who seems to have been around and stuck with her through much of the controversy. Bowyer describes the book as the “true, uncut story about the abuse Pilar endured, how she built an empire with him, and how he cheated on her.”

Deion and Pilar’s marriage woes have been playing out in public for a few years now. The latest bit to make headlines was Pilar losing sole custody of the couple’s daughter, which was followed up with the alleged ex-girlfriend of Gospel star Fred Hammond coming forward, expressing that she had witnessed Bishop T.D. Jakes coach Deion on how to hide money in preparation of the estranged couple’s forthcoming divorce and prenuptial proceedings.

A couple of weeks ago we told you that the courts awarded Deion Sanders primary custody of his two sons. We also told you that Pilar sent out a cryptic tweet, calling out Bishop T.D. Jakes for committing some sort of unspecified underhanded act.

While it appeared  that Pilar was blaming Bishop Jakes for helping her estranged husband to acquire primary custody of their sons, the latest claims to hit the web say differently. Cherry on Top recently interviewed a woman by the name of Nikke Sanni, who claims to be the ex-girlfriend of gospel singer Fred Hammond. During the interview, she dropped a huge bomb, alleging that she witnessed Bishop Jakes assist Deion Sanders in hiding money from the courts as he prepared for legal proceedings surrounding his divorce and prenuptial agreement that he signed with soon-to-be ex-wife, Pilar. Nikke alleges that one day, Deion and T.D. Jakes both met up at Fred’s home where he [Deion] revealed that he would be heading for divorce court soon and that he was afraid that Pilar would take all of his money.

“We were at Fred’s house. It was Fred, T.D. Jakes, Deion Sanders, and another man of whom I have no idea who he is. He came in with Deion, he left with Deion, I don’t know who he is. And that was my first time ever seeing Deion,” Nikke started.

“He [Deion] was getting ready to file for a divorce, and there was something wrong with the prenuptial agreement, and he did not want her [Pilar] to take his money. He was like worried. It was one of those meetings where somebody is like, ‘Man you know, something is wrong with this prenup, and I need some help because I don’t want her to take everything.’ And T.D. Jakes was there helping him, giving him advice, kind of guiding him rather, on what to do with his money so that it wouldn’t look like he had so much when the divorce happens. It was only T.D. Jakes and Deion talking. Fred wasn’t really saying anything, and the other guy wasn’t really saying anything. It was just a Deion and T.D. Jakes type situation,” she continued.

“I don’t remember the specifics. I just know he was telling him, ‘This is what you do. You put your money here…’ Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But, no, I do not remember exactly. I wish I did because I’d be more than happy to help her, but I don’t know, and I can’t make it up.”

When asked why the men would speak so openly around her about such a private subject, she responded:

“I wasn’t sitting directly in the room. I was eavesdropping in the room. I wasn’t like sitting on the couch with them…they were all sitting in the sitting area. I was eavesdropping on the meeting. I came down for a second to get a good look, and went back up, but I was not invited, nor was I sitting in the sitting room with them at the time, no.”

Nikke also revealed that while she is a bit scared about going against T.D. Jakes and Deion Sanders, she will be testifying on behalf of Pilar in court. These claims certainly won’t be shocking to those who have believed that Deion has been playing dirty all along.

Last week reported that after a lengthy custody battle, a judge awarded Deion Sanders primary custody of his two sons. And now, we’ve just learned that the retired football star has also been granted custody of his 9-year-old daughter, whom he also shares with estranged wife, Pilar. This appears to be the final blow for the model because while she fought for her husband for custody of the boys, she retained custody of their daughter.

Pilar’s camp tells RumorFix that she was caught off guard by the decision and wasn’t aware that she lost custody until she went to pick her daughter up from school.

“Pilar’s legal team was caught completely off guard. She found out as she was driving up to pick up her daughter at school today. The whole thing is unbelievable. She has been a stay at home mother all there children’s lives,” said one of her reps.

Pilar’s publicist, Kali Bowyer struck back in the media, suggesting that the judge presiding over the case was somehow corrupted.

“Unbelievable. Whose payroll is this judge on? Certainly not the taxpayers.,” Bowyer told the NY Post.

The mother of three took to her Twitter to express her disappointment about how things went down.

She also vowed to be the voice for other mothers who have “unjustly” lost custody their children.

According to reports, the courts have arranged for Pilar to see her children every Thursday for two hours and on the first, third and fifth weekends of every month, she’ll have the children from Thursday to Sunday.

Yesterday we told you that television producer and girlfriend of Deion Sanders, Tracey E. Edmonds testified in the seemingly never-ending child custody case between Deion and his estranged wife Pilar. Today it was announced that the courts finally reached a decision. According to TMZ, Deion was granted full custody of the couple’s two sons, who are 11 and 13. Pilar and Deion will share custody of their 9-year-old daughter.

Deion quickly took to his Twitter page to celebrate his victory.

“GOD IS SO GOOD AND FAITHFUL! !!! GOD IS SO WONDERFUL! TRUTH,” he tweeted.

“Thank all of you whom prayed for me and my children. The Truth is what it is. Never doubt God! Truth”

Meanwhile, Pilar thanked her supporters, despite her loss.

“Thank U So Much 2 Every1 Who Has Supported n Prayed 4 Me & My Babies! 4 Those Who Came 2 Tell The TRUTH Thank U 4 Not Being Bullied Down,” she tweeted.

“I’ve never seen anything like this! WOWOWOW!”

She also tweeted a cryptic message to Bishop T.D. Jakes and Pastor Omar Jahwar, accusing them of committing unspecified, but underhanded deeds. Many believe it has something to do with her custody battle.

We’re not 100% sure what that’s about, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted. So far there has been no word from Bishop Jakes or his representatives.

It feels as if the child custody legal dispute involving retired NFL star Deion Sanders and his estranged wife, Pilar Sanders has been dragging on forever and a day. And according to Deion’s girlfriend Tracy E. Edmonds, Pilar just wants to drag it out some more. Dallas News is reporting that the television producer took the stand on Monday and implied that her boyfriend’s estranged wife was attempting to weasel her way out of a court-issued subpoena when she didn’t show up to court last Friday. According to Edmonds, Pilar was in the courthouse parking lot, she just never went inside.

Pilar’s attorney Luke Gunnstaks confirmed that his client was in the parking lot on Friday and that she was being harassed Edmonds. Tracy argued that she simply waved to Pilar in the car as they were both leaving the courthouse. During her time on the stand, Gunnstaks questioned Edmonds regarding whether or not she received an engagement ring from Deion and if she’s ever slept at his home while his children were present. She declined to answer both questions. The attorney also probed about reality TV projects that Edmonds may have been working on involving Deion and his children. She confessed to having worked on a web series called Sports Dads. She also revealed that in the past, she worked on a reality show centered around Deion’s home and work life, but it was scrapped.

Once Pilar took the stand, things got interesting as she was repeatedly interrogated about what she would do for work and how she planned on supporting her children.

“Obviously, I would opt for employment that would maximize my time with my children,” she said.

She was also asked if she blamed Deion for “for not being a star.”

“I think I’m a star,” she replied.

Interestingly, a few days prior, the model expressed that she believed every woman should be made to feel like a star, via her Twitter page.

When black folks abuse the race card, it makes it harder on all of us. The next time someone questions whether race affected their job, their treatment at the club or even their grades in school, remember to thank people like these 15 celebrities. They’ve been using their celebrity to cry wolf and giving fuel to the white folks who doubt whether racism exists at all.

Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj has single-handedly set the race card back several years. First she called Steven Tyler racist for saying she would have sent Bob Dylan “to the cornfield” if he was contestant. Then, when she allegedly threatened to shoot Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj pulled the race card again and accused Barbara Walters of racism when she took Mariah’s side of the story without getting hers:

“Am I not good enough for you [Walters] to get my side, because I’m a little black girl that raps?”

Maybe Barbara was just afraid she’d get shot. At this point, Nicki’s more famous for being crazy than for being a black rapper.

If things continue to go down this road, Pilar Sanders is in trouble.

Last Wednesday, A Dallas court ruled that while Deion Sanders and soon to be ex-wife Pilar will share custody of their three children in a week on/week off schedule, Deion is the only parent that will hold exclusive rights over the children. Well, at least until the final divorce trial, according to The Dallas Morning News.

What does this mean? Judge Ray Wheless decided that Deion will solely be allowed to make decisions about the kids’ primary residence, school(s) they attend and choose their athletic activities. Athletic activities? That sounds weird that they would eve be involved in the ruling. They’ll share all other decisions.

In December, a court granted Deion custody of their two sons, Shilo and Shedeur, while Pilar was granted custody of their daughter, Shelomi.  She also had her child support reduced from $10,000 to $5,000.

Pilar has also maintained that she is a victim of Deion’s celebrity status and that his finances are doing all of the talking.

Their divorce trial should begin somewhere around March 4th.

In the meantime, Deion will have to pay legal for the amicus attorney who represents the interests of their children.  Both he and Pilar will share the medical bills.

Wow, this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Based on reports, it seems like the adults may have forgotten about the most important thing: the kids (which explains why they had to bring in another attorney).
