Lil Wayne Tweets ‘I’m Good’ After Reportedly Being In Critical Condition After Sizurp Binge
It appears TMZ has lost it’s crown as being the most credible source for breaking gossip news. After sending every rap fan in the world into a tizzy over news that Lil Wayne had been hospitalized after a syrup binge and read his last rites, Weezy F Baby himself shut down the talk in one simple tweet:
The panic started with the report below from TMZ which read:
The 30-year-old rapper was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. Tuesday night after suffering multiple seizures. He was released Wednesday but just hours later one of his bodyguards found him in his room, on the floor and unconscious.
Wayne was rushed to the hospital again, but this time he did not stabilize. He was taken to ICU, where he was placed in restraints because he was shaking uncontrollably.
We’re told Wayne is currently “unstable,” and has been placed in an induced coma. He is breathing through tubes.
We’re told several people are at Wayne’s bedside crying, and a number of rap artists and family members are on the way. Sources say the scene is violent as Wayne shakes uncontrollably.
Sources say there’s evidence Wayne went on a Sizzurp binge after being released Wednesday, because doctors found high amounts of codeine in his system.
We’re told Wanye’s stomach was pumped 3 times to flush the drugs from his system.
Since the original report, TMZ had made several updates, including removing a line that the rapper had been read his last rites. As of 8:15, they said Wayne’s mother had reportedly boarded a plane to LA and no decisions about Weezy’s current state would be made until she arrived
Members of YMCMB have downplayed TMZ’s reporting, with rapper Mack Maine being especially outspoken on Twitter about the site’s news. He recently tweeted:
Thank goodness this appears to be a case of careless reporting. But let’s hope Wayne does get a hold on his health so this story isn’t true one day — and that he’s the one who actually sent that tweet, since TMZ is skeptical, putting in their latest update at 6:30 pm PT:
Wayne is sleeping right now … which is odd, because he just tweeted saying he’s OK and thanking people for the prayers and love.
We’ll try to keep you updated as best we can.
The Bickering Continues: Tameka Raymond’s Friend Says Support Kile’s Real Parents, Not Usher
It’s somewhat unfortunate to see that the jet ski accident that left 11-year-old Kile (Kyle) Glover brain dead Friday hasn’t done much to ease relations between his mother, Tameka Raymond, and her ex-husband, Usher. In an interview with Radar Online, the same site that got the only response from Tameka on her son’s condition, a friend of hers basically said Usher is not in the equation and hasn’t been for a while so he isn’t the one who deserves sympathy right now.
“I’ve seen celebs and media outlets alike continue to send their condolences to Usher. Kile was Tameka and Ryan Glover’s child and the sympathy should be given to them first and foremost,” she said.
“Although Usher has been so kind in chartering a plane so she could be by Kile’s side, he didn’t necessarily play a huge role in Tameka’s other children’s lives after the divorce therefore it seems a little disrespectful that Ryan is being ignored as a father, in place of another just because he’s topping the Billboard charts.
“Ryan was equally devoted and involved in Kile’s life — they shared joint custody and Kile was with his other family at the lake, so for those who are claiming Tameka’s at fault for not being there is just absurd — because of the joint custody, her two boys aren’t always directly in her eyesight, but she is a phenomenal mother.”
I didn’t realize some outlets were trying to blame Tameka for this incident, which I have to agree with the friend is absurd. The point about Ryan Glover deserving support as well is also valid but I don’t think any celebrities or writers meant any disrespect by not mentioning Kile’s biological father (in headlines), it’s just no one really knows who he is. And regardless, this just seems like somewhat of an inappropriate thing to say at a time when the focus should be on other things like a child who’s assumed to be on life support and not who is receiving the most support from celebrities and websites.
As the friend notes in further comments, if anyone needs abundant love and comfort right now, it’s Tameka, and I think most everyone has acknowledged that.
“This is a woman who lost the man of her dreams, her reputation and now her son within the course of four years. My heart goes out to her. Nobody deserves this pain,” she said.
“Perhaps the comment boards that continued to spew venom at a woman they had never met will put the breaks on their misdirected anger and hate and finally give her some peace. She definitely needs it.”
Trying to throw shade on Usher in the process isn’t necessarily going to garner it though. Meanwhile, the family did put out a statement to CNN on Kile’s accident yesterday:
“We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time. “We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now.”
What do you think about these comments from Tameka’s friend? Is she right?

Sad Update: Tameka Raymond’s Son Declared Brain Dead After Jet Ski Accident
Tameka Raymond’s 11-year-old son Kyle Glover has taken an unfortunate turn for the worse after he was involved in a jet skiing accident Friday afternoon. After being air lifted from Lake Lanier to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, Kyle was said to be in critical condition, but as of yesterday afternoon the young boy has reportedly been declared brain dead.
According to TMZ’s sources, Kyle has not experienced any brain activity since he was admitted to the hospital three days ago. There has reportedly been no decision yet as to whether or not to take him off life support and Radar Online claims to have spoken with Tameka about her son’s condition, to which she simply responded:
“He’s Bad.”
Both Kyle and a 15-year-old girl were injured in Friday’s accident when a man who appears to have been apart of their group at the lake struck them with his personal watercraft while they were inner-tubing, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Kyle was unresponsive when he was pulled out of the water but the girl was treated for minor injuries, including a cut to the head and a broken arm.
Though alcohol is not thought to have played a part in the incident, Robin Hill, a representative for the Department of Natural Resources in Atlanta said the department’s Critical Incident Response Team will recreate the accident with computer programs to help determine what happened, including how fast the boats were going at the time of the accident. Once the department completes its investigation, they will send their recommendation over to the district attorney who would then decide whether or not to file charges against the driver.
So far, neither the boy’s father,Ryan Glover, nor his former step-father, Usher, have commented on the situation although Usher is said to have chartered a plane for Tameka to be by her son’s side following the accident. A slew of celebrities have sent their well wishes to the family, including Lala Anthony, Russell Simmons, and Monica. We definitely want to extend ours as well at this difficult time.

Hate Crime? White Man Beaten Into Critical Condition Over Racial Slurs
Roughly 20 black men, women, and children are said to have been involved in a brutal beat down that occurred in Mobile, AL, Saturday and left the man seen here, Matthew Owens, in critical condition. Four days later, the circumstances surrounding the altercation are still a bit fuzzy.
Many reports on the attack have labelled it a hate crime while others have called it retaliation for Trayvon Martin since one of the men involved in the fight was heard saying, “Now that’s justice for Trayvon” when the beating ended. Mobile’s mayor Sam Jones says that quote has been blown out of proportion and new details suggest that Owens may have actually been the original aggressor in the altercation. One person told WPMI that Owens was spewing racial slurs at people on a basketball court and even pulled out two kitchen knives. Another witness quoted him as saying:
”He’s going to lynch all the black kids, he hates black n***ers, he hates that we moved on this street.”
It’s these new details that have stopped investigators from looking into this beating as a hate crime, Mayor Jones says.
“Wait for the facts as far as we’re concerned right now,” he told Fox 10. “But, I would caution people to not jump to conclusions right now. This is really very divisive in communities throughout the country, and I don’t think we have any reason to be divisive here because I don’t see any evidence of that.”
Though Owens is awake now and says he doesn’t know why he was attacked, at the time, he was left unconscious with bleeding on his brain after the fight and witnesses say he was beaten with bricks, bats, and cans of paint by the mob. His wrap sheet doesn’t do much to clear claims that he may have been the aggressor in the case. He’s been booked on charges of assault, domestic violence, harassment and public intoxication in the past. Despite whatever motivation may have led up to the incident, the brutality of the attack is rather extreme. Still, no one has been arrested thus far.
What do you think about this situation?

Mother of 1-Year-Old Girl Shot While Sleeping Demands Answers
Last Thursday, 24-year-old Tonishia Allen and her 1-year-old daughter, Jaliyah, were wounded in a shooting while they slept in a home in the West Pullam neighborhood of Chicago. While the mother was treated and released from the hospital following her injuries, her daughter remains in critical condition after surgery, and still authorities have not given them answers on what happened.
We don’t do nothing to nobody; we didn’t deserve it,” Tonishia told ABC News. “I just want justice for me and my baby.”
Tonishia and her daughter were sleeping at her mother’s home when shots were fired through the wall of the house. The mother says she fell out of bed and because her daughter wasn’t crying, she didn’t think she was hit—until she noticed blood.
“She got hit in the top of the head – it went thru the brain and came out her left jaw, and that’s the same bullet that hit me,” Tonishia said.
While Tonishia was only shot in the leg and is expected to make a full recovery, her daughter has had problems with her heart rate since her surgery and remains in intensive care. Though Tonishia is confident her daughter will pull through, the baby’s grandfather, Omiah Newman said it’s been difficult to remain optimistic.
“It’s just not the same; I’m used to seeing my grandbaby running around the house, and that’s been taken away from us. Hopefully it’s momentary.”
Five days later, police still have not placed anyone in custody in connection with the shooting, which coincidentally—or not—occurred four years after Tonishia’s sister was shot to death.
“They haven’t even found out what happened to her – who did it; so [we're] back at square one again, and it’s really senseless how these young folks have these guns out here,” Jaliyah’s grandmother, Tina Cornell, said.
So far, all police have said is that the shooting may be gang related. Hopefully little Jaliyah will pull through.
