More and more it seems like Coachella is the place to be. As if performances from some of the biggest names in music weren’t enough, they are proving that they’re on the cutting edge of technology. Last night, rappers from different generations, including Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar performed a “new school meets old school” set. And you can’t honor old school hip hop without talking about Tupac. But they didn’t just talk about Pac last night at Coachella, they brought him back, in the form of a hologram.

So after watching, what do you think? Is it awesome that we can convincingly watch “Tupac” perform again? Or is it a bit too real…and creepy? Mark my words, once people find a way to make the cost of producing holograms cheaper, there will be “Gone But Not Forgotten” tours featuring greats like Michael and Whitney. Technology is a trip.

It’s a jungle out here. If you’re not careful out here these days, being a single, Hot lady in the city could get you attacked. In an area in Brooklyn called Park Slope, there have been a spree of sexual assaults on young women walking home after dark, with the assailants being different men of different backgrounds (aka, hard to catch). Things like this have young women out here on edge. While you never necessarily think getting attacked, raped, or robbed can’t happen to you, know that folks out here are CRAZY, and it never hurts to be prepared for anything. Get too comfortable and you could get caught up. So here are some tips to help you stay safe while being social and single in the city.

I don’t care if you are the loneliest in the women in the world, there are just some guys out there that you simply don’t want to attract. We’ve all been hit on by a guy (or a girl, yikes!) who left us feeling a bit uncomfortable, albeit, hella scared, or just plain ‘ol sad because their life situations just don’t work with our preferences.  And if the men on this list try and get at you and you say no thank you, it usually creates an awkward situation. So! With no further adieu, here are a few examples of some of those guys you just don’t want to get your flirt on with like that…

I’m sure in this big world of ours, you encounter many men who try and talk to you. Why? Because you’re fabulous, girl, that’s why! And as nice as it can be to meet and engage in conversation with an interesting man, these days you have to go through your share of hot messes to meet said interesting fellow. I guess that’s what makes dating interesting? (NOT.) But if you encounter these kinds of guys in your everyday movements, no matter how long it has been since you’ve been wooed by a man (aka, you’re at a desperate point), do NOT, entertain them. Just run, preferably in the opposite direction.
