It would seem that Toya Wright just can’t get enough when it comes to the fame. She and husband, Mickey “Memphitz” Wright are shopping around a new reality show “Crazy In Love.” In the trailer we watch as Toya and Memphitz describe their love for each other, in addition to the crazy incidents or drama that’s been associated with their names as of late.

Of course it’s really just Memphitz who’s been associated with some madness. Like the K. Michelle accusations and him bringing a gun into the airport.

Despite the drama though, I have to admit that the two come across as very charming. Memphitz is obviously the energetic, funny one. And Toya is more laid back and reserved. It’s kind of cute.

Check out snippets from their interview and then watch the sneak peek on the next page.

Why Toya loves Memphitz

What I love about Mickey is his personality. He’s very bubbly. He loves his family, he loves his kids. He’s also a hard worker. He’s just fun to be around, very positive. And that’s spiritual side of me that was missing. We are like soul mates because we’re opposite. We are like soul mates.

Why Memphitz loves Toya

I love that she’s independent. She has her own story. She has her own business. She just has her own. It’s just crazy, she does not need me. So I have to watch how I deal with her because it’s not a normal girl that I’m dealing with…

About that gun in the airport…

This particular gun was in her car and the kids were getting in the car, keep the guns away from the kids of course. I take the gun out of the car and put it in my bag. Get in the car…we’re rushing to the airport. She’s in front of me. She goes through security perfectly. All of a sudden the line stops, so I look at her and she’s like, ‘It’s a gun.’ And I’m like ‘Who got a gun?’

Toya: I’m like you fool.
I’m not getting you out again.

Memphitz: Oh yeah you are. When you put this on *flashes ring* come get me.

Working on their marriage

Toya: I’m trying to still get used to being married because it’s always been about me and my kid. And now my husband always says I’m like Johnny Gill.

Memphitz *Breaks into “My My My.”* That’s all she says. That’s mine. Get that off of my blanket. What you doing in my bed? It’s not yours, it’s ours.”

K Michelle

“I gave her a shot at stardom and she would never listen. She’s crazy. I didn’t do it. She’s lying. I didn’t do it. That’s all.”

Well, there you have it. But there’s more.

Watch the two of them discuss finding a new assistant for Memphitz (because his baby momma wasn’t going to do anymore), and their attempts to have a new baby on the next page.

Pass Or Play: Emeli Sande’s Take On Being “Crazy In Love”

The soundtrack for The Great Gasby has received just a much shine as the actual movie but the reviews haven’t been much better.

So, let’s forget about Jay-Z’s “$100 Bill” and Beyoncé’s remake of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black.”  Instead, let’s move on to a fresh new voice in the music industry who’s been making major noise.

Emeli Sandé is a Scottish soul singer whose biggest hit to date, “Next To Me,” has instantly made her a favorite among many music fans.

She recently took a big risk by remaking Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love” for the Gatsby soundtrack.  Other than the lyrics, the sound is completely different. Where Beyonce was very pop and R&B driven, Sandé’s version has more of a jazz and big band sound to it.

The music behind Sandé’s vocals was provided by the Bryan Ferry Orchestra and they sound awesome.

But the bigger question is: What do you think of Emeli’s vocals?

Check it out and let us know what you think? Also, are you an Emeli Sandé fan?

The Tease Is Over! Bey’s New Pepsi Ad Is Here

After dropping the shortest teaser ever in life yesterday, Beyonce finally ended our 6-second misery with the release of her newest Pepsi ad, and more importantly her new track, “Grown Woman,” this morning.

Fittingly, the theme for the very grown woman ad was “embracing your past” and it featured images of throwback Bey in her “Bootylicious,” “Crazy in Love,” and “Single Ladies” days. Bey confronts her old selves in the mirror, essentially challenging them to a dance off, which from our view, seems to show she’s still got it. Not sure that was ever in question, but hey, you know entertainers like to make sure that isn’t a shadow of a doubt that they’ve “been on”

But without further adieu, here’s your first look at the Beyonce Pepsi ad that will probably be playing in heavy rotation every commercial break from now until infinity. What do you think?

(Oh and for the stans, the full version of “Grown Woman” drops Monday, April 8.)

“O” Really? Omarion Says That He’s About To Be On That MJ/”Thriller” & Beyonce/”Crazy In Love” Level

I’m probably one of the few people in my office right now who wants to see Omarion win. Probably because I used to be a B2K stan (though I had more of an affinity for Lil Fizz), and more or less because I’ve seen him at his best (“Touch” anyone?) and knows he can drop some chart topping stuff. And after watching him dance for his life in almost a comical fashion at the BET Hip Hop Awards a few months ago, I can tell he’s hungry–thirsty even. But at the age of 28, post his boy band heartthrob status and dropping four solo albums, the latter two which were received with lack of enthusiasm, can Omarion really blow up big again? Or better yet, as he says, can he ever be on the level of Michael during Thriller? Beyoncé during Crazy In Love? Justin Timberlake during his FutureSex/LoveSounds reign?

He seems to think so. When talking about his upcoming EP, Care Package, with Billboard, Omarion discussed why he believes that it’s his time now to drop a classic. He’s a new and improved and eclectic O, and he’s excited for the fans, and the haters, to hear what he’s got, especially since he personally feels like most people still look at him as teeny bopping “Bump Bump Bump” Omarion from B2K:

A lot of my fans are adults and have children and lives. It’s really interesting because they still come out and support, the fans that used to chase my car. I think they ready. This is the real grown-up me. This is that age when Beyoncé had ‘Crazy in Love’ and Michael Jackson had ‘Thriller,’ when Justin Timberlake had ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds.’ I feel like I’m at that age. I can’t wait to display this new me.

If he’s trying to show that he’s grown up and out of his dance friendly pop stuff from back in the day, it helps that he’s rolling with Rick Ross and MMG, as he got signed with Ross’ crew after they met up at a strip club of all places. Magic City is the perfect place to do business, right? And since then, he’s been so hype and full of enthusiasm that he’s not letting anybody bring him down. Don’t want to see an Omarion comeback? Well, homeboy says too bad, because it’s coming: “I hope that they hear the emotion and take away one thing, and that’s that I’m coming. I’m going to continue to create music. I’m here, and that’s what it is.”

While I do like Omarion, I can’t say that I really see him making an impact or the type of music that really blew people like Bey, Justin and MJ into the stratosphere of stardom. I feel like that opportunity came and went. But hey, you can’t knock a brotha for trying. Never hurts to be ambitious, or it least it doesn’t hurt much? Care Package drops for free on file sharing sites on November 29, will you check it out?

Woman to Woman: You’ve got the power

I know Beyonce told you that girls ruled the world but I’m telling you that you have the ability to rule your own world. You see many of us forget that we have the power to create the life we want. We have total control of our decisions, choices, actions and behaviors. Anything we want we can have – you just have to believe it and go after it.

Ladies, I can’t stress this enough – stop giving your power away to others by allowing them to dictate the circumstances of your life. We have a bad habit of releasing our power and letting our emotions rule, especially when it comes to men and relationships. Our hearts take over our heads and we lose our minds (literally). Somehow we lose our position as “King of Me” and become “King of We”. We lose sight of our individuality and allow someone else to be the cause and effect of our pain and unhappiness. We forget that we have a choice to say yes or no to anything. The truth is you can’t blame anyone else for the state of your being. And you know what else? If you don’t want to deal with drama, you can always leave the relationship. If you don’t want to be somebody’s second choice, you can be somebody’s first. If you don’t want to struggle and live in poverty, go educate yourself for better job opportunities. You don’t have to remain in any situation that is not providing you with your needs. I’m still not sure why we are afraid of change but comfortable with complacency….smh

Guess what? You are in charge of your own happiness.  Someone can add to your joy but no one can give it solely or take it away from you. If you ever feel lost in any situation or begin to feel like you don’t have any control, remember that I told you woman to woman – you’ve got the power.
