You head to the pool or the beach, slap on some sunscreen and your sexiest swimsuit and you’re good to go, ready for a few hours or even a day of baking, playing, profiling and a dip or two. But there’s one thing you may have forgotten about – your hair.
Even if you’re one of those who never ever ever gets her hair wet, you still need to pay attention to your hair if you’re planning to spend time in the sun. And if you do plan to swim then you definitely need to give your hair a little bit of TLC, especially if you’re a black woman who has any type of chemical products in your hair.

A while back, a friend of mine said she doesn’t want to be seen as someone who likes to argue. She’s black, hilarious, a professional, opinionated, owns a home and two dogs.
Because of some or all of those character bullet points, there could be a misperception among men that she (or women like her) likes getting into the ring. The solution, of course, seems simple: Stop arguing. But here’s an even better one: Find someone you don’t have to argue with.
