Source: magxone.com
If you’re a House of Dereon fan, than I’m sure the following promotional video will probably have you too giddy! But if you’re someone who looks at the clothes with indifference (and sadness at how gaudy they can look sometimes), you’ll probably just check it out to find a distraction from working. Either way, Bey and her team are preparing to roll out their 2012 Spring and Summer fashion collections for stores, and to spread the word and give a sneak peek, a promotional video has been put together. A majority of the looks put together are still pretty bright and print-heavy, which will definitely be a good look for some of the younger kids heading out trying to be seen in the summer. But HOD also looks to have some cute blazers and dresses for those looking to appear a bit more grown with their look. I’ll probably pass, but I’ll let you check out the video and reach your own verdict:
Thoughts? Fabulous or fail?

Tracy Reese Fall 2012 Collection Review: ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’
Fall – the favorite season of many fashionsitas - is getting revamped thanks to Tracy Reese. The traditional dark color palette reserved for the season is updated by incorporating bright hues into the mix. Colors like orange, yellow, and many shades of purple were not only used as pops of color, but they also comprised entire outfits. Reese does a lot within this collection. For instance, she combines current trends into one look – color blocking and mixed prints – sticks to what she knows with lots of dainty dresses, and updates classic pairings like a t-shirt and skirt.
Reese’s collection is busy (in a good way), refreshing and holds on tight to color. If you’re a woman who has places to go and people to see, then click “Next” and check out some of the ensembles that Reese has created with you in mind.
Nicki Minaj Diversifies With OPI Nail Polish Deal
Nicki Minaj is giving new meaning to her album title “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,” launching a vibrant limited edition collection of nail polish in collaboration with OPI Nail Lacquer. The Trinidadian-born American musician has partnered with OPI to create six dynamic polish colors, including a bright aqua “Fly,” metallic silver “Metal 4 Life,” purple crackle “Super Bass Shatter,” silver “Save Me,” and –you guessed it—the shocking pink of “Pink Friday.”
Minaj, whose first album went platinum last year, follows in the footsteps of fellow artists Katy Perry and Justin Bieber who have also released OPI color collections. For Katy Perry, “Last Friday Night,” appeared as an electric blue, while Bieber’s “One Less Lonely Girl,” shone in a glittery purple.
“OPI is so excited to work with Nicki,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director in a company release. “Nicki has taken the hip hop world by storm, but her music is only part of the equation. She’s also become a fashion inspiration, noted for her daring costumes and hair color both on and off the stage.”
Of course Minaj is no stranger to such dazzling partnerships—the artist is also the new female face of makeup company MAC’s “Viva Glam” campaign for 2012, which stands to raise millions for those battling HIV/AIDS via sales of Viva Glam Lipstick and Lipglass gloss. In 2010, the campaign fronted by Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper raised more than $32 million, and this year Ricky Martin joins Minaj to raise even more funds for research and awareness.
One things for certain, with so many colors to choose from for both nails and face, Minaj will have her pick of the glitter when she hits the road on her first headline tour later this year. The only question is which ones Niki will wear, and which ones will be sported by her alter ego Roman Zolanski!
Fans interested to coordinate colors with Minaj (or Roman) can find her new OPI line for sale at Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 per bottle.

Love her or hate her, you cannot deny her hustle. ’Nicki the Boss’ and coveted nail polish brand, OPI, have joined forces to produce six dazzling and colorful shades. The name of each nail polish in the collection is inspired by the rapper’s platinum debut album, Pink Friday, and its hit track list:

- “Metal 4 Life” (shimmery gunmetal gray)
- “Pink Friday” (iridescent Barbie pink)
- “Save Me” (rainbow glitter-infused light blue)
- “Fly” (neon sky blue)
- “Did it On Em” (fluorescent lime green)
- “Super Bass” (deep plum, shatter polish)
These hues are as bold as the MC’s style! OPI is not the first to recognize Nicki Minaj’s unique style or selling power. Last year, Minaj collaborated with MAC Cosmetics on a “Pink Friday” lipstick and it sold out immediately. It’s no wonder OPI decided to add her nail polish collection among their celebrity lines including, Serena Williams, the Kardashians and Katy Perry. We bet Minaj wishes she could have “this moment for life.”
Can’t wait to get your hands on these cute colors? Be patient, Barbies! The polishes will be available for purchase January 2012.
Which shade is your favorite? Or, are you less than impressed? Let us know in the comments!
