Cynthia And Porsha Go Head-To-Head, Apollo Seeks Divorce Counsel While Phaedra Learns The Truth About His Lies: RHOA Recap, Ep. 3
Who knew Cynthia could be so nasty, so rude? *in a NeNe voice*
But that’s what we learned this week after watching the scorned friend go head-to-head with Porsha. Let’s talk about that, and a lot more in this week’s recap of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Phaedra Learns The Truth About Apollo’s Lies
Kandi meets up with Porsha and Phaedra to share the latest gossip, and that includes all that went down at Cynthia’s Ebony magazine party. They chat about everyone who showed up for the shindig (and Porsha had some shade to throw about not being invited), including Apollo. Kandi shares with her best friend that Apollo admitted to lying about pretty much everything when it comes to Kenya, and Phaedra is taken aback by the information, calling it not just f**kery, but “f**kation,” a new word. Surprisingly, she had some sympathy for Kenya: “If it wasn’t true I owe her an apology…Poor Kenya.”
Claudia Jordan may appear sharp-tongued and full of sass in the new “Real Housewives of Atlanta” trailer, but the 41-year-old says that there was an extremely dark point in her life when she considered ending it all. Apparently, the Bravo freshman has been plagued with money troubles for quite some time now. Thankfully, she says that she’s now on the “upswing.”
“I definitely had money and lost it all and got it back, lost it all again and now I’m on the upswing,” she told Radar Online.
As for the source of her monetary woes, Claduia blames predatory loans.
“I was a victim of some predatory loans, and I remember I was depressed for a while to the point I was actually suicidal.”
“I hit rock bottom. I lost everything, including my real estate,” she went on. “I was very proud of buying all my real estate on my own and [then] my show got canceled, I went through a divorce, basically I lost my work,” she continued. “Everything happened at the same time and I was depressed.”
During this challenging time in her life, Claudia says that she didn’t bother working. In fact, she barely left her bedroom.
“I laid in bed for months, and honestly I didn’t work,” she admitted. “I was depressed and I fell behind.”
Things got so bad that the “Celebrity Apprentice” alumn says she began the process of filing for bankruptcy, but she never followed through with it.
“There was someone that came to me that said, ‘Hey, I can help you. I can thaw it out,’” she explained. “I paid him $10,000 and he started to file the bankruptcy proceedings, but then we never followed through with it.”
She later found a way to pay off all of her debts.
“I ended up paying off what I owed, but someone filed on my behalf and we didn’t follow through with it,” she said. “I know that’s something people like to throw in my face, but you know what, a lot of people have gone through bankruptcy.”
Claudia adds that she hopes that her story will serve as inspiration for others who may be in uncomfortable situations.
“Like I said, there’s a lot of people out there that are dealing with a lot of sadness and adversity and I want them to look to me like, ‘Wow, if she dug herself out of that hole, then there is hope for me.’”

That Was You!? Reality Stars We Didn’t Realize Starred In Some Of Our Favorite Throwback Music Videos
Before the following individuals were known for snatching weaves, being called bullies and giving folks the creep eye, they were just trying to get their bills paid by doing music videos. But who knew they were popping up in some of our favorite music videos? Here are 10 reality stars who we never realized were in some of these popular music videos from back in the day.
Claudia Jordan In “Me And Those Dreamin’ Eyes Of Mine” By D’Angelo
Before her days flipping open briefcases for the game show “Deal or No Deal,” and waaaaay before she was made a regular on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Jordan had the awesome opportunity to saunter around D’Angelo in his video for one of our favorite songs from the Brown Sugar album, “Me And Those Dreamin’ Eyes Of Mine.”
Let’s face it: drama brings viewers and the more drama a reality show has, the more people will tune in to watch the messiness unfold. And it doesn’t get any messier than when a woman is busted trying to swoop in and steal another woman’s man like these reality show stars were accused of doing to their fellow cast members.
The new season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” hasn’t even started airing yet, but the drama has already been heating up. Porsha Williams lost her Georgia peach to newcomer Claudia Jordan and it looks like that’s not the only spot the model plans on taking. Williams went through a public and bitter divorce with former NFL star Kordell Stewart, part of which was captured on film for the show. Last week, Jordan raised eyebrows after the trailer for the upcoming season showed her snapping selfies and exchanging numbers with Stewart, sparking rumors that there could be a budding romance between the two.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” certainly know how to dominate a news cycle. Just a few minutes ago, we published a story saying that Porsha was leaving the show. In actuality, she’s been demoted to a “recurring character.” And it makes sense. Judging by the drama that’s coming up this season, she absolutely must be on set to comment on what’s about to go down.
Bravo made sure to give us a full and very juicy trailer.
They address everything we were wondering about and then some.
We watch as Cynthia and NeNe try to repair their friendship, seemingly to no avail. Kenya Moore is trying to date. The newbie, Claudia Jordan, stirs up all kinds of drama when she’s seen out with Kordell, Porsha’s ex. Phaedra is allegedly having an affair. And they even let us see a bit of Apollo’s epic flip out.
Watch the season 7 trailer in the video below.
Whew! This season is going to be good. We’re ready.
The new season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs on November 9 at 8 pm ET/PT.
Will you be watching?
The long-lived beef between Claudia Jordan and her former Tiny Tonight co-host Tamar Braxton is no secret. Fans have witnessed the reality stars exchange catty words on-air and on social media site Twitter, so it’s definitely not shocking that Claudia is elated that her rival has been replaced by Basketball Wives star Tami Roman.
Filming for the nighttime talk show, which is reportedly scheduled to return September 20th, has already begun and Claudia says Tamar’s absence is definitely a good thing.
“At least Tamar is no longer on the show to thhrow shade and hate your way,” one follower wrote beneath a photo from the set that Claudia shared to her Instagram page.
“It was such a better vibe across the board! All the girls were able to shine and speak their peace and respectfully disagree. Everyone left happy knowing we just created some good television. I personally had a blast!” Claudia responded.
And in case you forgot how their petty feud began, it all started when the two couldn’t see eye-to-eye about what the perfect date looks like and Claudia began throwing words like “gold digger” around, which Tamar took as a below-the-belt jab.
“Listen, if you think that by me saying, ‘I’m not a gold digger’, when I’m being attacked from all angles because I say that my perfect first date is not necessarily getting into a private jet, which is so freaking unrealistic and I say, ‘Hey, I’m not a gold digger,’ and you take offense to that, then you might want to take a look at yourself. I never said anything about her being a gold digger. I don’t know her life. She was definitely firing shots like I don’t have standards because I don’t expect a guy on a first date to take me on a private jet. Who does that? I think hookers do that and high-end call girls, escorts,” Claudia said of their childish feud in an interview earlier this year.
How do you think the show will do without Tamar? Will you be tuning in?
Back in March when Tamar Braxton first announced that she was pregnant with her first child, she also revealed that she would not be returning to VH1’s nighttime talk show, Tiny Tonight, even though the network ordered more episodes of the entertainment program.
“I’m not on that show anymore. Well you know, I only actually agreed to do two from the beginning. Because Tiny and I are really, really good friends. Everyone knows that. So like I told her I would do it and that was it. I’m saying that I wasn’t scheduled to do it in the first place,” the “Love & War” singer expressed.
Well, in case you were wondering who Tiny got to take her BFF Tamar’s place, it’s Basketball Wives star and fellow VH1 personality, Tami Roman. The outspoken mom of two announced the news on Twitter last night.

Claudia Jordan, who had major beef with Tamar back when they co-hosted the show together, quickly chimed in, encouraging everyone to welcome Tami to the show.

While Tami’s addition to the cast was a bit surprising, it seems like this could be a great fit for her, especially since the fate of Basketball Wives seems a bit shaky these days.

In case you were lucky enough to be unaware of the pretty drama brewing between Celebrity Apprentice alumni Claudia Jordan and Omarosa’s 65-year-old mother, Theresa Manigault, allow me to catch you up to speed. While on the red carpet at this year’s BET Awards pre-show, it seems that words were exchanged between Claudia and her sworn enemy Omarosa and then things got physical. According to Claudia, Omarosa walked by and called her a b***h and Momarosa punched her in the arm, which led to verbal retaliation on Claudia’s behalf.
“I told her that she should probably get out of Michael [Clarke Duncan’s] house. She’s squatting in it. I’ve seen the docs. But anyways, we are not here for Omarosa and that monkey face b***,” Claudia told Baller Alert.
Omarosa, however, told Hip Hollywood a completely different story.
“You know my mother. You know my mother wouldn’t punch Claudia Jordan in the face.”
“They bumped into each other, but there was never a punch thrown. It’s a non-story.”
I know, I know. It’s all very high school, but unfortunately, the pettiness didn’t end there. Following the incident, Momarosa petitioned for a restraining order against Claudia.
“She started to use profanity at me. As I was walking the carpet, she began to be physically aggressive. [She used] her shoulder to try to knock me off balance,” she explained in the court filing.
According to TMZ, the judge presiding over the case wasn’t buying Momarosa’s story because he denied her request for a protective order. A hearing has been rescheduled for July 24th, which is when she will be able to restate her case. Now I realize that Omarosa’s beef with Claudia is no secret, but someone is going to have to tell me how her 65-year-old mama found her way into the mix.
What are your thoughts on this foolishness?

If you saw the super trailer for this season of “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta,” you might recall an interesting conversation brewing between Karlie Redd and Benzino about a p*rn tape with Joseline. Since all we’ve seen are a few second of the discussion, we had to ask Benzino what all that was about when he came into the office — and more importantly was he Joseline’s leading man. We also needed to know his status with Karlie and what was up with those pics we saw of him and Claudia Jordan getting awfully close earlier this year. Lucky for us — and you — “Zino Grigio” told us everything we wanted to know. Check out what he had to say in the video above.
Claudia Jordan Comes For Omarosa: ‘This Woman Had A Red Carpet At Her Fiance’s Funeral…How Upset Were You?’
Claudia Jordan has a problem with Omarosa.
So what’s up with that you say? Well, despite the fact that she’s now a woman of the cloth and suffered the tragedy of losing her fiancé, Michael Clarke Duncan, a lot of folks still don’t like her. Just ask La Toya Jackson. No, wait, just ask Claudia Jordan.
You see, Claudia and Omarosa used to be friends, but had a falling out after Michael Clarke Duncan’s funeral.
Apparently, Omarosa didn’t like the fact that Claudia had posted a picture on Instagram from her fiancé Michael Clarke Duncan’s funaral as she laid him to rest. Claudia, however, feels that was a minor offense if it was one at all because the picture she posted was in tribute to the Green Mile actor.
