Hola Senoritas! Today is Cinco de Mayo and you know what that means – Margarita time!

Thanks to the victory of Mexican soldiers over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, we have an excuse to throw a party, eat tacos and make some margaritas. Contrary to popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day (which is September 16), but more so the celebration of Mexican heritage and pride and to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy during the first years of the American Civil War. Now that is something to drink to!
