Cute Kid Alert: Chris Bosh Says He’s a Good Dad, Stevie J & Mimi’s Daughter and More!

Another day, more cute kids to showcase! With the help of Black Celeb Kids, we’ve compiled photos of some cuties and their celeb parents.

Let’s get started with Chris Bosh! Despite what his ex and baby mother Allison Mathis says, Bosh wants folks to know that his kids are his number one priority and that he’s a good dad. While making his media rounds last week, the newly minted NBA champion shared his excitement over his new son, Jackson, and raising his little girl, Trinity (3). On “Live! With Kelly,” according to BCK, he said the following about baby Jackson showing up at the championship game and his daughter’s first championship parade:

“He was absolutely a good-luck charm. That was actually his first game. I knew I had to do something special because he was in the building. My daughter got to be in the parade. [She and Jackson] were both there, so it was great.”

Ca-ute!

And speaking of cute, Snoop was seen recently with his sons Corde and Cordell. Mr. Cordell, on the right, is the 15-year-old football star who has had UCLA knocking on Snoop’s door. The young men and their famous pop all came together for the preview of Mac & Devin Go To High School, a comedy starring Snoop and Wiz Khalifa. Corde and Cordell definitely take after their dad, but I see momma Shante all over their faces too! Cute indeed.
You hear Mimi Faust and Stevie J talk about his little girl often on “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta,” but rarely is their daughter seen. Well, this is her! Eva, who looks a lot like her daddy, is seen here taking a dip in the pool. Can we talk about how adorable the flotation device she has on is? Hopefully Stevie will get his act and life together for the sake of his lady and this adorable little girl…but I doubt it. But she’s adorable, right?
And I’ve probably been asleep under a rock, but I never knew that Teena Marie had a young daughter! The young lady above is her 21-year-old daughter, Alia Rose. And guess who that is all hugged up with her? Rick James’s son Taz (aka, Tazman)! He is the son (about 19 years old) that James had with ex-wife Tanya Hijazi. The two attended the BET Awards on Sunday looking very dapper and darling. I see the resemblances to their parentals…how about you?

Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh At War With Child’s Mother!

Chris Bosh may be a member of a championship basketball team but his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child is dead set on exposing him as somewhat of a deadbeat dad.

The initial battle began earlier in the year when Chris took his ex, Allison Mathis, to court in an attempt to have the courts allow their daughter Trinity to attend the All-Star Weekend festivities with him.  Mathis responded by saying that at just three years old, there was no need to be around that environment; a judge agreed with her. Most recently, they were in court again because Bosh wanted to be allowed to take Trinity with him to London during the Summer Olympics to see him play, as he is a member of the U.S. team.  Alexis felt that because of the heightened security alert and threats of terrorism, it would not be smart for Trinity to be there.  After hearing both sides of the argument, a judge ruled in favor of Allison, citing that there would not be anyone there to really watch her (Bosh actually just pulled out of the Olympics due to a rehab injury).

Now, Allison has taken to digital media.  She recently spoke on camera to Rhymes With Snitch about all the trouble she’s been having with Bosh as it pertains to their daughter. She states that since losing her job due to layoffs, she is about to lose her home and has also applied for government assistance. Mathis says she cannot understand why she only receives $2.700 per month in child support when Chris makes $18 million per year as a member of the Miami Heat.

For his part, Bosh’s attorneys have responded to this video in a letter to Mathis’ attorney stating that what she failed to also mention was that Bosh pays for all of Trinity’s medical and dental bills, all preschool expenses as well as developmental and extracurricular activities and finally, he’s set up a college trust fund for their daughter.  None of these things were mandated by the court when he was ordered to pay $2,7oo month. Additionally, his lawyers said she failed to mention that he gave her $250,000 in 2010.  They go on to say that Bosh will not be intimidated by her campaign to extort him and that his efforts are to provide for his child, not her mother.  They requested that she have any videos taken down immediately and are also threatening to sue her for invasion of privacy because in the video she added a personal moment between she and Chris when he learned she was pregnant.

This is messy.  On one hand, you can see why Allison feels she should have better in this situation since Chris makes so much money. Oh, I failed to mention that Allison said Chris asked her to have a baby when they were together and the proposal would soon follow.  However, on Chris’ side of things, the courts have spoken and he’s paying the amount they ordered him to pay.  But when you add in everything else he’s paying for, that racks up to way more than $2,700 a month.

What do you think? Should Chris, as the father, help Allison find proper housing and give more money so that they won’t have to be on public assistance?  Should Allison just find a job and be content with what she’s already being given?

Allison Mathis: If Chris Bosh Wouldn’t Have Kept Me From Joining ‘Basketball Wives,” I Wouldn’t Need Food Stamps

I know you all are already shaking your heads, but hear Allison out. As you know, the mother of Miami Heat player Chris Bosh’s 3-year-old daughter has applied for food stamps, saying that since she’s lost her job, they can’t survive on the $2,600/month that he pays in child support. A lot of people were confused about that and suggested Allison just go get another job and in an interview with Gossip Extra, Allison revealed that she actually did have a different job opportunity—as a member of the ‘Basketball Wives’ cast—but Chris blocked her from joining. She told the site:

“I was offered a job on ‘Basketball Wives’ and I filmed a couple episodes and it leaked that I landed the job and Chris of course did not want me to go on it so he sued me to keep me from going on it. I would have made a hell of a lot of money than with other job offers that I’ve had.

“My thing is, if you didn’t want me to speak about you, then maybe you should have reached out to me or my attorney and said, ‘look, it’s OK for her to go on this show because it’s a way for her to provide income for her daughter but don’t mention Chris’s name.’ That would have been a better approach than to just get me completely fired from the show.”

According to Gossip Extra, Allison would have taken in $12,000/week for appearing on the VH1 show which would have definitely kept her out of the assistance line, but it appears Chris had more legal muscle.

In her exclusive interview, Allison also talks about how Chris changed after she got pregnant, and I have to admit it was kind of sad seeing the clip of the happy couple finding out she was pregnant to looking at how things turned out in the end. Allison says Chris hasn’t reached out to her at all offer her and his daughter any type of help since the media reported that she applied for food stamps, saying the most she’s heard is a quote from him saying he was “saddened” by the news. She said instead of being sad he should be glad to help.

“I’m not the only one and I don’t expect people to just to feel sorry for me and have pity on me, but I do think that the father of my child, given that he is able to help his child out, should be willing to.”

Check out the quick two-part interview here. Do you think Chris should have let Allison go on “Basketball Wives” if he wasn’t going to help her financially?

She’s on a Roll: Oprah to Interview Lebron James, D Wade & Chris Bosh

June 25th, 2012 - By Veronica Wells

Source: melbarchie.blogspot.com

If you’re hot right now, Oprah is trying to talk to you. And who’s hotter than the Miami Heat? (Corny joke intended.) After her interview with the Kardashian Clan, OWN received a ratings boost. So in an effort to continue the momentum, Lady O is going to sit down with Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to discuss their friendship, the challenges they’ve faced and their romantic relationships.

It probably won’t get the same type of views as the Kardashian interview, but I know I’m interested.

Oprah will interview the trio for her show “Oprah’s Next Chapter” next Sunday at 8 p.m. on OWN of course.

What about you, are you interested to hear what these three have to say?

For the ladies who really don’t get down with the sports scene, know that last night’s game was… something like a blowout. The Miami Heat won by nearly 20 points. The game was over sometime in the third quarter; but aside from the actual game, there were a few moments you must be made aware of. So if you’re not into sports but you dig pop culture, check out the moments you need to know about.

Chris Bosh’s [Very] Intimate Moment

If you hadn’t heard already, there has been much speculation that Miami’s power forward, Chris Bosh, is gay. Despite the fact that he’s married to a woman and just had a child, people constantly reference his effeminate mannerisms as proof that he likes the thang that swangs. And after last night’s victory celebration, those rumors won’t be going anywhere for a long while…if ever. The pictures don’t do it justice. Watch Chris’ very sensual encounter with a champagne bottle and see what we mean.

Insufficient Funds? Chris Bosh’s Baby Mama Applies for Food Stamps

June 18th, 2012 - By Alissa Henry

Source: playerwives.com

While Chris Bosh is in Miami playing in the NBA Finals, it looks like his baby mama, Allison Mathis, is at the Orlando Department of Child and Family Services applying for food stamps.

The Miami Herald reports that Jose Lambiet from Gossip Extra talked to Allison’s lawyer Jane Carey about the situation:

In her first interview about the legal battle that Bosh and former live-in galpal Allison Mathis have been waging in three states, Mathis’ lawyer tells me, Orlando resident Mathis was laid off from her gig as a secretary in a construction company and this week applied for federal food assistance.

Mathis is also expecting to see her home go into foreclosure because the child support Bosh is paying doesn’t cover her mortgage!

What’s more, the tall-head’s request to take his and Mathis’ three-year-old daughter to London this summer to watch him play in the Olympics has been denied by an Orlando judge.

Carey talked publicly about the case for the first time today because, she says, she’s tired of the 28-year-old Bosh — who got married last year to Adrienne Bosh and recently celebrated the birth of their son.

For two years, the ball player has been battling Mathis in courts in Orange County (Florida), California and Texas on anything from child support to banning her appearance from VH-1’s Basketball Wives to how much time he spends with the child.

Things, however, have changed since Mathis lost her job.

Believe it or not, says Carey, Bosh pays her a mere $2,600-a-month in child support!

According to state guidelines, someone like Bosh whose yearly salary is in the $18 million-range should be paying about $30,000-a-month. So Carey asked a judge to adjust the child support.

Two thousands dollars a month seems dangerously low for child support from a NBA player who is raking in millions. When will these men understand that if you lay up with a woman and have a child with her then you need to be prepared to pay up to support that child? Nobody is saying he has to split fifty-fifty with a woman he never made a true commitment to, but allowing his daughter to live in the poor house while he is swamped with cash is suspect.

However, Allison seems to believe that Bosh’s child support should cover her lifestyle as well. Since when does child support cover mortgage payments and serve as financial insurance against layoffs? She already tried to sue Bosh for not allowing her to monetize her former relationship with him by being on “Basketball Wives.” Now, she is making headlines for applying for food stamps? Somebody stop this girl.

If Allison can’t afford to take care of her daughter, then she should send her to live with her father. But, considering Bosh had to take Allison to court back in February in order to get “meaningful time” with his daughter, it doesn’t seem that Allison has the best interest of their child at heart anyway. Instead, she’s clearly using her daughter as a pawn for tax-free cash flow. She is getting child support checks every month that put her way above the eligibility line for food stamps, yet because her relationship with Bosh didn’t result in the payday she was hoping for she thinks she is entitled to help from the government?  This woman has no shame at all.

There are people in Orlando who truly need food stamps and Allison Mathis just isn’t one of them.

What do you think? Should Allison get food stamps or a child support increase?

In Baller Baby News, Chris and Adrienne Bosh Welcome Baby Boy!

May 3rd, 2012 - By Brande Victorian

Last night, Miami Heat player Chris Bosh hopped on a private plane from NYC to head home to Miami after he found out his wife Adrienne was in labor. This morning, the newlywed couple welcomed a healthy baby into the world and they were both there to see it.

To ease Adrienne’s fears that Chris wouldn’t make it in time, someone must have sent her a pic of her hubby boarding the plane last night, because she tweeted this pic yesterday evening saying:

“Thank God for private flights…Hurry home Baby :)

Chris held up his end of the bargain, having told news outlets he would drop everything at a moment’s notice to be by his wife’s side during the birth.

“I’ve got a beeper, so when it goes off, I’ll be ready,” he said. “It’s an exciting time, I’m trying to compete for a championship and prepare for new life. It is a busy time in the Bosh household.”

Chris was in New York yesterday to prepare for tonight’s game against the Knicks, and according to David Aldridge of NBA.com, he will be back in NYC tonight to go head to head in game three. That’s a dedicated father and team player.

Congrats to the Bosh family!

You Gets No Respect: The Vanity of Surrogacy

January 16th, 2012 - By Brande Victorian

There are women who use surrogates to have children because they can’t get pregnant by natural means and then there are women like Chris Bosh’s wife, Adrienne, who use surrogates to maintain their figures.

That’s the latest rumor surrounding the Miami Heat player and his wife who announced they were expecting their first child almost two months ago. According to Bossip, the couple will be using a surrogate because Adrienne is worried about becoming fat and ruining the body she works so hard to maintain. But course no one wants to admit anything as superficial as that, so the tiny newlywed, who is supposedly five months pregnant, is expected to go into hiding soon to make sure the media doesn’t create another Beyonce fluctuating baby bump situation.

Now I’d be lying if I said I knew what it was like to have a body so perfect I couldn’t bear the thought of letting a baby destroy what I worked for, but when I say I wouldn’t want to be the mother explaining to my child that I didn’t give birth to him because I didn’t want stretch marks, I’m telling the truth. And trust me, that child will find out, just like gossip sites already have.

I find nothing dishonorable about a woman exercising all of her reproductive options when she can’t conceive the traditional way, and those women are certainly still “real” mothers in my eyes. But there is something so Saks 5th Avenue snobbish about Adrienne’s rumored choice that I can’t hardly stand it. It’s vain, it’s dishonest—it’s a rich, good-looking people problem that, when compared to the millions of women who would die just to be able to give birth to their own child or have a healthy baby at all, just leaves an indescribably nasty taste in my average woman mouth. Her situation reminds me of why people were so upset at the false pregnancy rumors surrounding Beyonce. If you just come out and say, “Hey I’m using a surrogate,” you’ll still get a few side-eyes, but you at least get the respect of being honest. When you put up a charade and pretend to be pregnant when you’re not, it’s dishonest and suggests you’re ashamed of the choice you made yourself.

No one has the right to police anyone else’s womb, but to me this choice calls into question just how much she wants a child. Is it an accessory or is it something she’s willing to work for and invest in as much as her body? Child birth is just the beginning of the wear and tear being a mother takes on you mentally and physically. If you’re not willing to go through that pain, how will you handle all of the issues that come down the line? There’s not a quick fix for everything if you actually plan on being an involved mother and I wonder if Adrienne has grasped that. I’m not hating on her ability to throw out money and take advantage of this option, I just think it speaks volumes about her views of motherhood. Lots of women who marry athletes already get bad raps for being gold diggers and considering the couple just got married in July, this choice kind of screams “lock in child support” as opposed to “I want to build a family,” but maybe that’s just me.

What do you think about using a surrogate mother to protect your figure? Do you respect mothers who do so? Would you ever consider it?

How Did Baby Mother and Father Relations Go So Sour?

May 6th, 2011 - By Victoria Uwumarogie

Is it just me, or are the relationships between mothers and the fathers of their children getting worse and worse?

No, I’m pretty sure it’s not just me.

Statistics made public near the end of last year by the government put out there that 72 percent of black children are born to unmarried mothers. There is nothing wrong whatsoever with being a single mother, especially if you share custody with the child’s father, allow healthy visitation, collect a reasonable amount of support for the child and most importantly, get along. You don’t have to be all buddy buddy, but you need to at least be civil to one another. We all know the petty things men and women do to one another when they are heated, and when there’s a child involved, there’s no place for all that drama. And drama is expected these days (think of when a woman dates a man with a child they always ask themselves, “am I ready for baby mama drama?”). But watching the news and reading the blogs, I’ve found hateful crimes between baby mothers and fathers, childish lawsuits and damaging language about each other played out in public. All this proves we need to know folks a lot better and a lot longer than we used to before we lay down and produce children with them–cause things are getting real ugly.
