Rhea and Danny are like Hollywood staples. The couple met in 1971, moved in together two weeks later, and, oddly, didn’t marry for another 10 years in 1982. Still, they’ve got 40 years under their belt which is why news that the two were divorcing in October hit fans so hard. The good news is as of earlier this month, Danny told Extra the pair is still working on their marriage and that they’re “still together – just separate, but together.”

About four months have passed since “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada and then new husband Chad Ochocinco made headlines for a domestic violence dispute that ended in Chad being arrested, dropped from his contract with the Miami Dolphins, and an end to the couple’s 42-day marriage. With the exception of Evelyn’s appearance on Iyanla Vanzant’s “Fix My Life” and ABC News, the two pretty much refrained from discussing the incident. Until now, that is.

Last Wednesday, we reported on an interview that Chad did with ESPN’s First Take where he opened up about what went down between him and Lozada and getting help for his issues with domestic violence. He also admitted to cheating on Evelyn, but not without stating that he believed he deserved a second chance.

Since the interview aired, Evelyn has also opened up just a teeny bit more on her feelings about Chad and how she’s dealing in the aftermath of her public divorce.

In an interview with Rumor Fix, the reality star was asked how she felt about second chances and if she believed Chad deserved another chance. Here’s what she had to say:

“I do believe in second chances. I actually had someone ask me that recently, and I do. I’m not bitter, things happen and yeah, I do believe in second chances. I would want somebody to give me a second chances, and you never know.”

Interesting. Lozada also revealed in an exclusive interview with Radar Online that she would like to sit down and have a conversation with Chad someday.

“At some point a conversation needs to take place, I have questions about everything and that will happen when it’s supposed to happen,” Evelyn confides. “I would definitely like to sit down and talk to him down the road – I would just really like to get up in his head and ask, ‘Why?’

“Obviously he wasn’t thinking, but as a woman, there are certain things I needed closure with like why he cheated? It is hard for me to wrap my head around why someone would put everything at risk.”

“But I am not a man either so I don’t get that at all. Obviously that is wrong, I feel like we were both a lesson to each other, I have learned so many things… things that I will never tolerate again.”

“I haven’t spoken to Chad, we can’t – we have a ‘no contact’ clause, but I hear things. He recently did an interview on ESPN and I saw clips of it but it wasn’t easy to watch because he is still wearing his wedding ring, and says he still wants to be married.

“He hasn’t tried to speak to me directly and I don’t think he is going to risk his freedom, I also don’t think it would be good for us.”

Is The Ev and Ocho Show really going to happen? Considering that their once-fairy-tale-esque relationship went poof at the revelation of serious domestic abuse, it was all but a given that VH1 would pull the plug on the show and the wedding special which were both already taped. But…Evelyn is saying something different. In response to a fan tweeting her about the likelihood of ever seeing the show on air, Evelyn responded with a maybe.

Personally, I don’t think it’s in poor taste to air the show. If anything, it may give viewers a better understanding on the illusion between edited/scripted reality shows and reality. I myself was completely surprised by Chad Ochocinco’s violent ways. On Basketball Wives, he always came off as the gentle one in the relationship while Evelyn came off as the angry one. Although I didn’t believe that they could be truly in love after such a short and public courtship, I would never have imagined Chad to be the aggressive man that we now know he is capable of being.

VH1 will certainly get its fair share of criticism if it moves ahead with airing the show but I hope they move forward as it will be another fascinating record in the history of reality TV.

After three weeks of uncharacteristically sporadic tweeting and a full seven days of silence, Chad Johnson returned to Twitter:

Since the headbutting incident that ended his marriage to Evelyn Lozada after only forty-one days, Chad has been losing everything from his football career, to endorsements and possibly even his house. Now, the maligned football player may be facing prison time.

According to The Christian Post:

Evelyn pressed charges against the football player after the domestic dispute took place. While Johnson was reportedly facing a misdemeanor charge initially, the free agent may now face one year in prison for felony charges because of a past domestic dispute with an ex-girlfriend 12 years ago.

Since Chad’s arrest, many have been taking sides. Some blame Evelyn for the dispute citing her violent action on Basketball Wives while others have blamed Chad saying he wouldn’t have been arrested if he was not at fault.

Now, Chad is speaking out for himself (via Twitter, of course). After blaming MetroPCS (a prepaid cell phone service) for his lack of tweets, the former football player rejected sympathy and took responsibility for the fight and the subsequent demise of his professional life.

Unlike others who have showed absolutely no remorse in the wake of such a highly-publicized and damaging incident, Chad is definitely using his Twitter account to express his regret. It’s unclear when his profile picture was taken, but in it, he’s sitting in front of a Bugatti with his head in his hands and wearing his wedding ring. When someone asked him why he erased his bio, he answered.

It’s unclear what that new life will look like. Anything could be up next for him — from another football team picking him up to prison time. Even though Chad doesn’t want sympathy, it’s difficult not to feel at least a little bit sorry for him.

Evelyn hasn’t tweeted since the incident.

What, you thought it was over?

The first alleged mistress/opportunist didn’t waste any time coming out after Chad and Evelyn’s domestic altercation. That following Monday, Beverly Shriner wanted everyone to know her name and her affiliation with Chad, and honestly, I thought more women would have come forward within those few days, but here we are two weeks later with two more names added to the mistress pool.

Outed by RadarOnline, Atlanta stripper Amber Priddy doesn’t appear to be denying her relationship with Chad on Twitter. The site says that chad was paying Amber $2,000 a month to cover her rent, but now that he’s unemployed, she’s about to get evicted. Amber does deny that Chad was taking care of her rent —saying she’s simply moving not being evicted—but when it comes to sleeping with the former NLF star while he was dating, engaged, or married to Evelyn, Amber hasn’t said a word.

Then there’s an alleged third woman in Miami named Bianca Zuluaga who Chad has been seeing for about a year. According to RadarOnline’s source:

“Whenever she refers to ‘chocolate’ in her tweets, she is talking about Chad and admits that she has ‘Jungle Fever’ and loves chocolate men.”

Gag me. Also:

“Chad would mostly spend time with Bianca while Evelyn was out of town on her book tour or filming. They would even meet at David’s Café in Miami, which is one of his regular hangout joints and they didn’t go to any lengths to hide the fact that they were there together.”

Bianca hasn’t exactly confirmed or denied her relationship with Chad either but she has sent out a few subliminals. On Wednesday she reportedly tweeted, “I just realized that my car is full of receipts… *cleaning it out.*” A follower asked if there were ”any receipts for condoms? hahahahaha…” and she said: “Naww just food! Lol I’m a fata**,” then a friend replied, “yea those are in his car, remember! Ha.”

Even if these women are Chad’s actual sidepieces, outing themselves, either openly, or on the low, it’s pretty clear they’re a little starved for attention that maybe Chad doesn’t have time to pay them right now. What’s even more ridiculous though about Chad’s supposed philandering though is that he “met” two of these women on Twitter. In case you don’t recall, that’s also how he met and hooked up with his soon-to-be ex-wife Evelyn. I would say I need him to do better, but he has bigger fish to fry than worrying about how he meets women —more like how many more women are going to put him on blast for his cheating.

Well, this is bad timing isn’t it? Before Chad and Evelyn’s violent altercation last weekend, they were already facing a different domestic problem—owing a contractor money for work he did on the couple’s home.

According to TMZ, Jacinth Preston worked on Chad’s Florida home and claims the ex-NFL star owes him $130,000; hence, he’s filed a lien against Ocho to get his money.

“According to docs filed in Broward County, FL on August 7, Jacinth Preston claims Chad owes him the chunk of change for work done on Johnson’s home … the same home where the alleged domestic violence incident with Evelyn Lozada occurred.

“Preston claims the money stems from providing ‘salary, car insurance, cleaners, landscaping, decorating.’

“According to the lien, if Johnson doesn’t pay off the debt soon, his house could be foreclosed on.”

From the sounds of things, the house was solely in Chad’s name which means he’s the only one responsible for paying Preston. This also means he continues to be the one to bear the bulk of the consequences in the couple’s domestic altercation last week.

As Complex put it:

“It seems Johnson just missed an $863 maintenance fee and also currently owes more than $28,000 in back pay on the property.

“In addition to that news, it was also just reported that Johnson took out a private $150,000 loan from a pair of investors recently that required him to put up a $350,000 home currently occupied by one of his baby mothers as collateral. He has until 2015 to pay back that loan, but…yeah. He’s currently unemployed—and about to go through a divorce—so his ability to pay that back might be in serious doubt.”

Looks like the space Chad was occupying between that rock and a hard place just got even tighter.

It’s still raining awfully heavily in Ochocinco-Lozada land. Just when it seemed like Chad might still have at least one source of income, an endorsement deal he had with Zico coconut water was yanked right out from under him less than a month after he signed on the dotted line July 25.

A rep for Zico released a statement yesterday which read:

“In light of recent events involving Mr. Johnson, we have decided to terminate our relationship. The values we espouse, through our employees, our customers and our brand, are central to our mission. We have taken this proactive step to demonstrate just how important those values are.”

In other words, they don’t support cheating and headbutting of any kind.

I’m not sure if Chad has anything else to lose after parting with his wife, his team, his show, and his endorsement deal all in a matter of four or five days, but for some reason I don’t feel safe saying the former Dolphins player has officially hit rock bottom. I wouldn’t be surprised if this turned into a Terrell Owens situation with the mothers of his children ganging up on him if he can’t manage to keep up his child support payment given his current economic situation.

On Twitter, Chad’s avatar (below) reflects the tight situation he’s found himself in, and his daughter, who appears to be his spitting image even in a blurred photo, has also spoken out about her dad’s situation.

It might be too late for Chad and Ev to forgive and forget, but her gesture was sweet.

Getting fired is a tough experience for anyone…getting fired on national television, however, is downright brutal. But that’s just what happened during Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson’s current Worst Week Ever.

We all heard about Miami Dolphins dropping Chad from the team, but last night Miami Dolphins HBO documentary “Hard Knocks” aired the entire conversation between Coach Philbin and Chad. TMZ reports:

“Hard Knocks” cameras followed Johnson on the day after he was arrested for domestic battery … when he met with Philbin at the Miami offices and tried to talk the Coach out of firing him.

During the very short meeting, Johnson told Philbin “Coach, I’ve never been in trouble before … ever.”

He lied.

As TMZ previously reported, Johnson was convicted of domestic violence back in 2000 after slapping his then-girlfriend during an argument. Apparently, the arrest slipped his mind.

But even if Chad would have been honest with his coach, it’s highly unlikely he could’ve saved his job. Philbin made it clear the organization didn’t want to take a risk on an aging player with very little upside and a TON of risk.

It seems highly inappropriate to air this firing. Chad was in an extremely vulnerable place and to further humiliate him — especially before this supposed domestic violence case goes to trial — seems excessive and unnecessary. Then again, when you agree to be on a documentary, then you agree to be on it no matter what happens. It’s not surprising that HBO chose to capitalize on someone’s pain because that’s practically what reality television is all about. Sometimes it seems people won’t be satisfied until someone commits suicide on air. Let’s hope it never comes to that!

For Chad, this video isn’t the only thing that’s out there. The divorce papers Evelyn wasted no time filing against him leaked today.

For those wondering if Evelyn is entitled to any of Chad’s money, number six on the last sheet reads “the parties have separate, non-marital assets and liabilities which should be set aside by the Court as the respective property of each party”. So, it looks like she won’t get the payday some thought she was after . Alimony is likely not an option either considering they were married for 41 days and Chad doesn’t have a job anyway. She has gained a lot of publicity though and, for Evelyn, that’s like money in the bank.

I didn’t think it was possible that another couple could manage to end their marriage quicker than Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, but low and behold another reality TV pair now holds the crown.

Earlier today, RadarOnline was reporting that Evelyn would be filing divorce documents within 48 hours to legally end her marriage with Chad Ochocinco Johnson, and according to TMZ she has in fact filed them papers, as Usher would say.

Evelyn Lozada filed legal docs moments ago in Florida, claiming her marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

The trigger for the divorce was the domestic violence incident over the weekend, in which Chad Johnson was arrested after allegedly head-butting her during an argument.

By my count, Chad and Evelyn were married a whopping 41 days, making Kim K.’s 72-marriage almost look respectable. (Kidding.) TMZ says the couple did have a prenup but that it won’t really matter since their marriage was so quick.

I won’t even try to explain this situation because that would mean in someway I could understand the madness. I’m done. Sound off!

VH1 has just released a statement saying that Chad’s elimination from the Miami Dolphins isn’t the only thing that’s being cut. The network posted a response to the pair’s domestic disturbance over the weekend on their site saying that they’ve decided never to air the couple’s upcoming reality show:

“Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it.”

Looks like the couple’s antics have completely caught up to them this time and VH1 is learning all reality can’t be planned. If Chad and Evelyn’s relationship couldn’t withstand a condom receipt, it certainly won’t endure unemployment and irrelevance.

Chad Johnson may be out of jail on a $2,500 bond but his troubles are far from over. The Miami Dolphins have cut the wide receiver after news of his domestic altercation with his wife Evelyn Lozada became public over the weekend.

Yesterday, Dolphins coach Joe Philbin told reporters that he planned to immediately address the situation and that he did. Why the team decided to share the news via Twitter I can’t say, but sure enough a message from the @MiamiDolphins Twitter handle hit the web at 6:16 pm yesterday, reading:

“The Miami Dolphins have terminated the contract of WR Chad Johnson.”

How Chad will respond to the news is unclear. During the domestic dispute with Evelyn Saturday night, Chad was reportedly heard yelling, “I don’t give a f—! I don’t give a f— about my career!” He may give a eff about the potential year he could spend in jail as a result of the argument and the $1,000 fine. Considering he’s now unemployed he probably needs to watch every penny. That’s if he’s found guilty of the misdemeanor domestic-abuse charge. Though the initial story to hit the press Saturday was that he head-butted Evelyn during a heated argument over a condom receipt she found, he says that she was the one who head-butted him. However things went down, the Miami police says it was pretty serious.

The argument began as the couple, who married on July 4, returned to their Davie home after shopping, the report states. In the trunk of the car, Lozada found a Walgreens receipt for condoms. The quarrel escalated, ending with the head-butt.

“She has a pretty good-size laceration on her forehead,” said Davie police Capt. Dale Engle.

Lozada said Johnson gave it to her, while Johnson countered that he was actually the recipient of the head-to-head blow. Cops apparently believed her side of the story, and arrested Johnson on battery charges just before 9 p.m.

Johnson was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident, police say.

Johnson was taken to jail, and had to wait until the next morning for a bond hearing, appearing before a Broward judge at 8:30 a.m. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was ordered to have no contact with his wife.
