It appears that La Toya Jackson is still single after all. Over the weekend reports of a secret wedding between La Toya Jackson and her longtime business partner Jeffre Phillips. Reports claimed that La Toya and Jeffre tied the knot during an intimate ceremony this past Friday in Los Angeles, California.
The rumors, of course, didn’t seem too far fetched, as Jeffre did, in fact, propose to La Toya on her reality show, “Life with La Toya.” Though his proposal seemed a bit odd, he expressed that he popped the question because he was sick of seeing the former “Celebrity Apprentice” star be “wooed” by other men. Though all signs seemed to point La Toya and Jeffre tying the knot, La Toya’s people are actually denying the rumors.
“The rumors that La Toya Jackson married her longtime business partner Jeffre Phillips are completely false,” a rep tells Entertainment Tonight.
The spokesperson went on to scold the original source of the false report.
“The reporting outlet should be embarrassed for their mistake and at least make an effort to find facts to back up their story before reporting.”
In that case, we’ll hold our well wishes for if/when La Toya and Jeffre ever do decide to get married.
Though Pharrell Williams has been quite vocal about his feelings for rumored wife, Helen Lasichanh, the couple’s wedding plans have been top secret. Word on the street is that they officially married in France back in August, but the pair have yet to officially celebrate their union with family and friends. Well, until now, that is.
Page Six is reporting that the alleged newlyweds will officially celebrate their nuptials this weekend at a swanky shindig at Miami’s Tropical Botanical Garden. The guest list reportedly includes Robin Thicke, David Guetta, Gwen Stefani and Paula Patton. Jay Z and Justin Timberlake are also rumored to be performing.
According to reports, the lavish party will be held outside and guests are asked to wear “garden party attire.”
“Pharrell has worked with everyone. He just produced Miley Cyrus’ album, he has worked with Beyoncé, Madonna, Shakira, Daft Punk, Kanye West and Jennifer Lopez. Half the music business will be there,” said one insider.
Pharrell and Helen have one son together, Rocket Man Williams. Pharrell often boasts that becoming romantically involved with his best friend was one of the best decisions he has ever made.
“It’s awesome. I can’t tell anyone what to do. I can’t give anyone relationship advice, but the bestie thing is awesome. Yeah [she's my best friend]. Every night is like a sleepover,” Pharrell gushed this past summer.
Congrats to the beautiful couple!
Last week there was speculation that Zoe Saldana And Marco Perego secretly wed in London this past June. This week, the news has been confirmed.
Us Weekly got the scoop on the couple from an inside source who told them the newlyweds have ”known each other for a long time.” Another sourced added in their two cents on the union, saying “They have great chemistry.”
Speaking specifically on the private nuptials, another contact said the ceremony was “super small but very romantic and beautiful,” and only attended by a few close friends and relatives.
In light of this news, I think it’s safe to say when Zoe Saldana moves on, she moves on. After an 11-year relationship with Keith Britton, CEO of My Fashion Database, Zoe moved on to her “The Words” co-star, Bradley Cooper, with whom she had a very short fling. Now it seems “androgynous” Zoe won’t be making good on her musings that she might end up raising her children with a woman one day because 34-year-old Italian artist Marco Perego has snatched her up and made an honest woman of her.
Wonder how long it will be before these two start popping out bambinos?
Congrats to the newlyweds!
It seems like celebrities are in a rush to do everything from growing up to walking down the aisle. So many celebs get married after dating for a couple months or a year, which is just crazy to us regular folks. However, its pretty standard practice among the young, rich and famous. Check out celeb couples that just couldn’t wait and how their marriage ended up.
Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian
After dating for just one month, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom walked down the aisle after meeting at a party in 2009. The couple has been going strong, but with reports of Lamar Odom’s drug abuse there may be trouble in paradise.
Last December we excitedly told you that R&B singer Brandy had officially gotten engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Ryan Press. But as the summer bids us adieu and the fall continues to creep up on us, fans have been wondering why they haven’t heard of any official wedding plans yet. During a recent interview with Tom Joyner, The Game actress confessed that her wedding remains without a date because she’s been super busy!
“I’m really trying to map out all of the wedding stuff. I didn’t realize how hard it was to plan a wedding. Even with a planner it’s hard. I think I’m going to get married next year,” she said.
She also reminisced about how she met her music executive beau.
“We met at a studio and I always thought he was cute, a little quiet. I didn’t really know where he was mentally and then I had a conversation with him later on and, you know, we just connected.”
Back in March she revealed that she’s thought about allowing reality TV cameras into her wedding so that she can share her special day with fans, but there’s been no word on whether or not this will actually happen.
“I don’t know. I just wish I could invite a lot of my core fans to the wedding because they’ve been there for me for so long… That’s what makes me think about it that way because I’m very, very close with my fans,” she told Wendy Williams.
Nearly 10 days ago we told you how one of hip-hop’s favorite couples, Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa, got married for the second time. The couple officially wed for the first time July 8 of this year, with Wiz breaking the news in a rather uninspiring fashion on Twitter, saying: “Me and Amber got married today. Weddings this fall. Thought I’d let yall know.” Staying true to his word, the pair later walked down the aisle in a lavish ceremony in Pittsburgh August 17.
When MTV caught up with the Taylor Gang leader on the red carpet at the VMAs, they asked the rapper what was the highlight of the couple’s wedding ceremony earlier this month and he gave an expectantly sweet answer, saying:
“Probably the first dance with me and Amber and seeing her walk down the aisle man, that was just mind-blowing.”
Unfortunately for nosy people like ourselves, Wiz didn’t reveal what song he and his new bride danced to, remarking that “you know the story is gone come out later and s**t.” And so far we also haven’t seen any pics of him and Amber on their wedding day, other than a few sneak peek images that popped up on Instagram – and a twerk video of course. Guess we’ll have to settle for the sweet details as they come.
Check out the the interview below as Wiz Khalifa Gushes On Marrying Amber Rose. Congrats again!
Celebrity relationships, marriages, and divorces are always in the headlines. Some Hollywood couples make it until the very end, holding true to the vow “’til death do us part,” while others aren’t so fortunate and their promise of forever is cut short, sometimes very short. It’s not surprising that celebrities marry and divorce, but some of them do it more often than others — a lot more. Here are 15 celebrities who have been married four times or more.
Standing as one of the best and most well-known and respected jazz trumpeters, Louis Armstrong also appeared to be a bit popular amongst the women of his time. Louis was married to four different women until his death, but we have to give him some credit since he was married to Lucille Wilson, his fourth and last wife, for more than 30 years. His past wives include Daisy Parker, Lil Hardin Armstrong, and Alpha Smith.
Back In August when Brandy expressed that she hoped her longtime boyfriend, Ryan Press would be popping the question soon, she caught a bit of backlash. Many called her thirsty and desperate for publicly expressing that desire; others applauded her for being woman enough to boldly state what she wanted. Either way, Ryan heard his lady loud and clear because a mere four months later, he asked for the singer’s hand in marriage. During a recent stay in New York City, Brandy visited the Wendy Show where she chatted it up with Wendy about Ryan’s Christmas Day proposal and future wedding plans. Take a peek at some of what she had to say below.
On Ryan’s proposal:
“He popped the question on Christmas. My Dad had finished praying for the food and after everybody said ‘amen’ he was on one knee, asking me to marry him.”
On if she was shocked:
“We all had a feeling. We didn’t know when he was gonna do it, but we all had a feeling. He asked my parents’ permission. You know, the whole traditional thing. I did not [go diamond shopping]. He did a really good job. I told him that I liked round instead of square and he did a really good job. I’m not a big diamond girl at all, but I like this diamond.”
On her daughter Sy’rai:
“She’s the maid of honor [in the wedding]. She’s 10. She’s my best friend. I love her unconditionally. Everything that I do in my life is for her. Every decision that I make, I have her in mind. It’s just beautiful to have a bond with her and I just thought that would be a special moment for the both of us. You know, for her to share in that happiness on that special day.”
On if she’ll be doing a reality TV wedding special:
“I don’t know. I just wish I could invite a lot of my core fans to the wedding because they’ve been there for me for so long… That’s what makes me think about it that way because I’m very, very close with my fans.”
Of course, as she does with everyone, Wendy advised her not to allow reality TV cameras into her wedding, but I suppose we will all have to wait and see what she decides to do.
