When she wasn’t busy preparing to sue folks for allegedly stealing her ideas (yes, we’re looking at you producers of The Real), Tatyana Ali was also planning a wedding. According to Us Weekly, the actress said “I do” to Dr. Vaughn Raspberry on Sunday in Beverly Hills. The 37-year-old met Raspberry through eHarmony in 2014, and they’re expecting their first child together. He is reportedly a Stanford University assistant English professor, and proposed to Ali by taking her on a hike in Yosemite, California, popping the question “in the most picturesque clearing.” Ali called the proposal, “so thoughtful and perfect.”
For the outdoor ceremony at the Four Seasons, Ali wore a custom Amsale gown with a sheer panel top and tied the knot in front of 120 of the couple’s family and friends. It was reportedly an event that celebrated her Caribbean roots (Afro-Panamanian and Indo-Trinidadian). In preparation for the nuptials, Ali and her sisters swapped the usual bachelorette party activities for some fun at Disneyland.
When speaking on Raspberry and how they met earlier this year with Entertainment Tonight, Ali explained how they were able to create a bond after meeting one another through online dating.
“It was my first time dating online. We wrote letters for months before we decided to Skype. And then, of course, met.”

The pair are reportedly expecting their bundle of joy any day now and we are overjoyed for the beautiful actress and her love. Congratulations to the pair on all their blessings!
Yesterday, the internet was flipping its collective lid thinking that Russell Wilson and his lady love Ciara tied the knot.
They thought yesterday was the day because images surfaced of Ciara in a white gown and Russell in a suit. The couple were in Liverpool, England. But apparently, that was just the rehearsal dinner because according to Us Weekly, the couple are tying the knot today, Wednesday July 6.
According to a source their nuptials will be witnessed by more than 100 family and friends, including Ciara’s A-list crew, Lala Anthony, Kelly Rowland and Serena Williams, the same group of ladies who celebrated at what looked like a poolside bachelorette party.
We’ve all been following their relationship pretty closely. But here’s a recap of the whirlwind romance. The two were first seen together in April 2015. And they got engaged this past March while they were vacationing in Seychelles.
And how could we forget the most interesting topic of discussion surrounding these two? They have been very public and open about their decision to remain celibate throughout their courtship.
This is Ciara’s second engagement, after calling it off with the father of her child, rapper Future. And it’s the second marriage for Wilson who was married to his high school sweetheart Ashton Meem from 2012-2014.
Congratulations to these two! We’re rooting for them and we can’t wait to see the pictures!
Update: Here are a couple.

Steve Harvey is a lot of things. You either love him or hate him. But he’s always struck me as a good father. And his twin daughters Karli and Brandi are lovely ladies. So I was excited to see the news that his daughter Karli was getting married to entrepreneur and business owner Ben Raymond.
Naturally, her father was the one to walk her down the aisle.
But it wasn’t an easy task for Steve or Karli. Both fought back tears and tried not to look at each other as they were preparing to step into the ceremony space. It was a beautiful moment you’ll just have to watch to completely grasp.
Check it out in the video below.
Ben and Karli tied the knot months ago and are just returning from their honeymoon in Bali and Hong Kong. They joined their father and father-in-law on “The Steve Harvey Show” to talk about their wedding day, the honeymoon and about the first holiday season they’ll be spending together, living under the same roof.
You can watch this episode of “The Steve Harvey” show airing today. Check local listings for time and channel in your city, here.
In his heartwarming ESPY speech, Devon Still accepted the Jimmy V Perseverance Award in honor of his daughter Leah Still, who was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma over a year ago. And while most of his remarks were about his daughter and his family making it through the ordeal, he also made sure to thank his fiancée, Asha Joyce, for being so patient and so unselfish while they waited for Leah to heal. He told her that to honor her, he was going to give her the wedding of her dreams…she just needed to stay within the budget.
Well, it looks like budget is no longer a factor.
According to People, wedding planning website, The Knot, are financing the couple’s entire dream wedding.
TheKnot will help Devon and Asha plan every step of the process including venue, flowers, cake and her gown. But more importantly, the site will also donate money for other families battling pediatric cancers.
Just to spice things up a little bit, America will have a say in how it all goes down. Fans will be invited to vote on each and every detail of the day, including Asha’s dress.
While that might terrify some people, the couple is embracing it.
“I’ve grown a lot of trust in a lot of people throughout Leah’s battle with cancer, so I’m pretty sure they can get it right. It’s going to be interesting to see how America views us and what they think is best.”
One thing that is not up for debate or discussion, is that Leah Still will be the flower girl.
Her father said, “When we first started talking about the wedding, she made it clear she wanted it to be pink and gold because those are her favorite colors.”
Joyce said, “I love pink as well so her dress will definitely be pink!”
The couple said they look forward to the day when Leah can live as a normal little girl. Though she is now cancer free, she is still in and out of hospitals for therapy.
All in all they believe their love will sustain them through the future challenges that may arise in their lives.
“Having Asha by my side has definitely made it easier to travel down this path. Overcoming the things we’ve overcome … I’m just looking forward to what the future holds for us. We’ll make it through whatever is thrown our way.”
Those future plans just might include a little sibling for Leah.
Asha said, “She’s made it clear she wants a sister.”

The guest list for the ceremony, which took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel, consisted of family friends, and celebrity guests Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Serge Ibaka, Dorrell Wright and James Harden, Khloé Kardashian and Keri Hilson.
Earl wore two dresses during the celebration–one by Vera Wang, the other by Monique Lhullier. The groom wore a tuxedo by Tom Ford. Their first dance was to Lauryn Hill and D’Angelo’s “Nothing Even Matters.” Interestingly, Earl quoted the same ballad when she announced her engagement to Westbrook last summer.
The couple met while attending UCLA—both played basketball at the University. The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard asked for Earl’s hand in marriage last September when he presented her with a $700,000 ring from Jason of Beverly Hills.
Over the weekend, relatives and friends of Fantasia Barrino gathered aboard a swanky yacht to celebrate the singer’s recent marriage to new husband, Kendall Taylor.
The nautical wedding ceremony took on a black, white, red and silver theme. Sunday evening, the 31-year-old gushed to Instagram followers about finally meeting the one.

Barrino and Taylor first went public with their relationship last fall. Judging by the “Lose To Win” singer’s Instagram account, which has served as a bit of an online diary in recent months, she and her new husband have been through their share of ups and downs. However, it’s beautiful to see that they were able to overcome whatever obstacles they were facing.

Your wedding day can be one of the biggest days of your life, which is why most people can’t wait to share the news that they’re getting married. But we didn’t find out about the big day of these celebrities until after they said, “I do.”
News of Kim Coles’ wedding in the Dominican Republic surfaced weeks after the Living Single star said, “I do” to former SWAT officer Reggie Mckiver. “I’m 53 and Reggie is 41 but I’m not a cougar,” Coles said in an interview. “It’s about the right energy. It wasn’t like I was trolling for younger men. It’s about energy. We’re ageless. Just two people on the same plane.”

On June 17, Kim Coles, 53, and Reggie McKiver, 41, tied the knot during an intimate wedding ceremony in the Dominican Republic. Shortly after the ceremony, the “Living Single” actress excitedly announced the news on Facebook:
On Wednesday 6/17/2015, two best friends got married! We will have official pictures soon, but take this as our own announcement that “We’s Married Now!” We would like to send our love and thanks to those in attendance and REMIND you to keep everything hush-hush until we say so! Please respect our privacy, photos & announcements until further notice! #happykimandreggie
The couple met after Mckiver was assigned as Coles’ security escort at a natural hair expo.
“[My heart] was open just enough for Reggie to come through, and I’m so glad he did,” the newlywed told People. “I’m 53, and Reggie is 41 but I’m not a cougar. I can’t run that fast. I’m a meerkat or a prairie dog. It’s about the right energy. It wasn’t like I was trolling for younger men. It’s about energy. We’re ageless. Just two people on the same plane.”
The couple engaged in a long distance relationship before Mckiver finally asked for his love’s hand in marriage during a dinner outing at The Olive Garden. Interestingly, he proposed without a ring. He later presented his new fiancée with mother’s old engagement ring.
“I didn’t have a stitch of makeup on!” she reflected.
She later announced the upcoming nuptials during a comedy gig.
“Me with my big mouth announced I was getting married! People asked where and I was like, you cant come, it’s a private wedding. We had to move the wedding from one beach to a whole other beach, but all the people from the tour showed up — 45 people in their bathing suits and towels — but they were very respectful.”
Back in March, Coles announced her engagement on Facebook. Congrats to this beauty and her new husband!
Vanessa Williams will certainly remember this Independence Day for years to come.
According to People, Williams, 52, and her fiancé, Jim Skrip, quietly exchanged vows Saturday in front of family and friends.
The actress first confirmed her engagement back in September during an appearance on “The Queen Latifah Show.”
“I got engaged,” the beauty gushed to Latifah. “I have had a lot of good things happen … I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings.”
In April, we were able to catch up with Williams, who gave us the scoop on her new beau and their unlikely first encounter on an Egypt-bound boat.
“I was on vacation with my daughter going to Egypt, cruising on the Nile. I wasn’t looking for anything,” said Williams, who had been divorced for ten years when her path crossed Skrip’s. “I found a hometown guy from my mom’s town in Buffalo, New York and started a conversation.”
The “Royal Pains” actress was also sure to encourage women in their 50s who still hope to find love.
“There’s always hope. You never know what you’ll find and where you’ll find it,” she said. “Don’t ever lose hope. I’m 52, and now I’ve got a new beginning. It happens when you’re not looking for it! Just trust and believe.”
This is Williams’ third marriage. She has four children from her previous marriages to actor Rick Foxx and Ramon Hervey II.
Theoretically, most people are only looking to have one wedding day, so it’s easy to understand why so many have elaborate, over-the-top ceremonies to exchange vows. But these celebrities almost broke the bank when they said “I do.”
Yandy Smith and Mendeecees Harris
Mendeecees Harris is looking at possible prison time when he faces sentencing for drug trafficking in August. However, that didn’t stop him or Yandy Smith (but most likely VH1) from spending over $500,000 for their nuptials when they said “I do” live on VH1 last month. The flowers for the ceremony alone were $90,000. They dropped another $12,500 for blinged-out selfie sticks, $5,700 for the cake, $69,000 for the two wedding gowns Smith had to choose from, and more than $20,000 on shoes and dresses for the bridesmaids. Yandy’s wedding ring cost $30,000 while Mendeecees’ ring cost a more modest $12,000.
