“He’s The One That Tamed Me”: Eve Explains How Her Husband, Maximillion Cooper, Changed Her For The Better
Just this past June, rapper Eve married British entrepreneur and millionaire, Maximillion Cooper, in Ibiza. The two had been dating since 2010, and in that time, Eve, born Eve Jihan Jeffers, became close with Cooper’s kids and fell head-over-heels in love with him. Six months since tying the knot, the newlywed, who says she did change her name to Eve Cooper (it’s still just ‘Eve’ for business though), is spilling the tea about married life. While promoting her new Lifetime movie, With This Ring (which premieres on Saturday, January 24), Eve talked about how married life has changed her, what she loves about Maximillion…and one thing she would change about him.
In a chat with Meredith Vieira, Eve said that she likes the fact that Maximillion has brought her a sense of calm and a lot of happiness. And it helps that he’s also a cutie.
“He’s cute [laughs]. He’s really cute. We just have fun together. He’s the one that tamed me. He enjoys my crazy sometimes so it’s good. It’s a really good relationship, so I’m happy.”
But she does admit that the only thing about him that she isn’t that fond of is his dancing skills. Her hubby just can’t seem to keep up rhythmically.
“My poor baby. I don’t let him dance. It’s really bad. It’s honestly so bad that I thought he was joking. I was like, ‘Oh that’s cute! You’re like dancing…you know.’ And then he did it again and did it again, I was like, ‘You know what? You shouldn’t dance.’ He’s cute so it really messes his whole thing up. So I’m like, you know what? You stand still and I’ll dance around you.'”
But what Maximillion lacks on the dance floor, he makes up for big time in his support for Eve. The rapper, who has always been pretty independent, told CocoaFab that he is teaching her to stress a lot less.
“Being married has changed me in a lot of different ways. It’s funny because I’m a really fiercely independent person and I always have been. Being married, you have to relinquish some of that.
Not in a bad way but in the way that you need to sit back and trust your partner to be able help you with things. Sometimes my husband has to say to me, ‘Chill. You’re my wife now. I can take the ball from here. Don’t even stress.’
When you have been doing things for years and my life has been about me for so many years, it’s a weird thing. I have to remember that I have a partner now. I don’t have to stress myself on everything. I don’t have to do everything by myself anymore which is nice.”
Love these two and it’s great to see ‘Mrs. Cooper’ so happy. Check out her chat on The Meredith Vieira show below:
Normally when you read about a celebrity wedding, there’s plenty of details on the bride, her gown and the famous people in attendance but not too much time and attention is given to who the groom chose to stand by his side. Here’s a look at some of the interesting choices for these celebrities’ best man.
Kevin Hart is hot on the promo trail for his latest movie “The Wedding Ringer,” where he rents out his services as a best man to grooms in need of an extra body in their wedding party. The pint-sized comedian is planning on tying the knot to his girlfriend of five years Eniko this summer and he revealed who he’s planning on having by his side when it’s time to say, “I do.” “”My son,” Hart said to HipHollywood. “He’s seven years old and his name is Hendrix.”
Ladies, I know there is a lot of internal and external pressure to be married and have kids, all before your 30th birthday. But that’s not everybody’s story. And frankly, there is plenty of life and love after 30 years old. If you don’t believe me, you need look no further than Shirley Strawberry.
Strawberry, the relationship expert and co-host on Steve Harvey’s popular morning show is well past 30, and married Ernesto Williams, 50, on Friday.
The couple got engaged last summer when Ernesto proposed to Shirley live on the radio.
In case you couldn’t really tell from the video, Ernesto is a very nice looking man. He and Shirley just so happened to get married on his birthday, January 10; and before they tied the knot, Shirley posted this picture in tribute to him, where we can fully see what he’s got going on.
Williams is an entrepreneur, whose businesses have been featured in The New York Times and other publications. Williams has been a barber for over 20 years and has managed to create some pretty lucrative business platforms as a result, including “The 24 Hour Barber Shop.”
Shirley did very well for herself.
So now that we know what Shirley’s working with, check out the pictures and videos from the wedding.
It seemed like it was just a few days ago that we were breaking the news that rapper Ludacris and his longtime girlfriend Eudoxie were engaged to be married. And that’s because it was just a few days ago.
Now, the couple are back in the news after having already tied the knot. That’s right. According to a source for TMZ, the couple got engaged on Christmas Eve, Ludacris took her out to dinner and when they got back home, there was a wedding dress, that Ludacris’ mom had picked out, draped over the furniture. And the two got married on the spot.
As you know Ludacris, Eudoxie and several friends spent the days after Christmas in Costa Rica…But that’s where the source says they took their honeymoon. Which would mean they were already married by the time Luda posted that “she said yes” engagement photo.
So, either Ludacris was pulling the wool over our eyes with that “milehighproposal” bit or this source is making stuff up. I’d bet on the latter.
But what does it really matter? They’re married now!
Isn’t this a surprise?! And a pleasant one at that. Not that Ludacris or Eudoxie need my approval, but I’m here for this. What’s the sense of a long engagement when you know that you know that you know you’ve found the right one. These two probably realized that ages ago. And in the words of Jagged Edge, “We ain’t gettin’ no younger we might as well do this.”
Check out some of the images the couple posted below and on the following pages.
They might have done it to double lock in the resolutions in their marriage vows (it’s no secret famous couples can use all the help they can get), or maybe they just loved the idea of marking their new beginning at the same time as the rest of the world. Either way, here are 15 celebrity couples married on New Year’s Eve or Day.

Last summer we learned that The-Dream tied the knot again with girlfriend LaLaonne Martinez. One would think that the hit-maker would be over the idea of marriage considering how many times he has been both engaged and married, but he still seems to very much believe in love. He recently shared never-before-seen photos from the day he exchanged vows with Lalaonne and they appear extremely happy.
“The End. The Beginning,” he captioned one photo. “The fight for true is hard , in order to even fight for what’s right for you,you must fight yourself and your own short comings and know exactly who you are and Love yourself fully and wholly.
You must tear down your own fears and address your own weaknesses before you can provide strength and love for you and another! You must find freedom and believe what’s great about you is a blessing and what’s not so great is needed to have an idea of humble.
Find passion for another as you seek what you don’t have, only to notice that what you don’t have in you can be found in another and Then you can be perfect, perfect for another and allow someone to be perfect for you. If I Practice loving I will eventually become Love itself.
It’s hard and it’s elusive but so is life, and when you stop loving you literally have stopped living! 4L #findyourlove This world is to crazy to live and Dir without giving life a chance to be good to you!”
This is The-Dream’s third marriage. In 2004 he married singer Nivea and tied the knot with Christina Milian in 2008. Hopefully this marriage lasts.
