Kandi Doesn’t Think Kim Should Return To RHOA, Do You?

Kandi Kim

From EurWeb

*It looks like there’s more deeply rooted drama with the ladies of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” because not only does Kim Zolciak  and NeNe Leakes  have long lasting beef, but also Kandi doesn’t want to see the white girl return.

“I don’t think she should come back,” Kandi recently told “The Gossip Game” star Ms. Drama.

Though Kandi and Kim are in the middle of a legal battle over the rights to music Kandi produced for the “Tardy for the Party” singer, that apparently has nothing to do with her preferring Kim stay gone.

How Many Reality TV ‘Wives’ Can Fit Into One Bridal Party? Guess Who Nene’s Bridesmaids Are

If you didn’t realize Nene Leakes’ new spin-off show “I Dream of Nene” was going to be a reality TV wedding spectacle, let me warn you now that it is going to be more turnt up than you ever could have thought it would be — namely because of who Nene’s bridesmaids will be. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a “Real Housewives of Atlanta” meets “Basketball Wives Miami” meets “Basketball Wives LA” kind of show? Well this is it.

On Twitter, Nene just shouted out her bridesmaids and among her regular every day gal pals are some interesting characters: Marlo Hampton, Cynthia Bailey, Jennifer Williams, and Laura Govan.

That’s a lot. We’ve seen more than a few shots of Nene and Laura and Nene and Jen out and about in LA over the past year or so, but who knew they were this close? Or are they? And if I’m not mistaken, Nene and Marlo just met during taping of season 4 of the show. Now she’s going to be in her bridal party? In the past, Nene has talked about putting her friends on when it comes to being on RHOA and it sounds like she’s doing the same with her own spin-off because all of these women should be counting their lucky stars for another crack at reality TV — considering they’ve all pretty much been ousted from their original shows.

I’m just wondering if fans are ready for all this energy in one place. What do you think?

It Looks Like The ‘Very Rich’ NeNe Leakes Just Got A Lot Richer, Reality Star Reportedly Compensated $1 Mil For RHOA Season 6

If you thought Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s queen b, NeNe Leakes was doing a lot of hollering about being rich before, if the current rumors are true, chances are you haven’t seen anything yet. Word on the streets is that it’s like Christmas for some RHOA stars over at the Bravo offices, as this is generally the time of year that the ladies renegotiate their contracts. Insiders say that NeNe Leakes inked a deal so sweet it made her the highest paid housewife in the franchise.

Sources revealed to Radar Online that both Bravo and NeNe know that viewers tune in each week to see her, which is a tidbit that Leakes appropriately used to her advantage when it came to negotiating her contract for Season 6.

“NeNe is the one viewers watch. She knows that, Bravo knows that and that’s why they gave her a raise,” said the production insider.

The source went on to imply that the relationship between NeNe and Bravo is mutual and that both parties are happy.

“She likes being on the show. NeNe is really happy with the New Normal and Glee, where she can be a real actress, but she knows her bread and butter comes from Bravo and that’s why she’s coming back, ‘cause she can’t turn the money down! Everyone gets it, NeNe is the favorite, but they’re still jealous, of course. They wish they could earn what NeNe makes because they don’t think she would be nearly as popular without fighting with them.”

NeNe’s renegotiated contract reportedly consists of a $1 million salary plus bonuses, which haven’t been disclosed.

While we can’t confirm whether the rumors are true or not, we can say that 2013 appears to be a great year for the über fabulous ”glammother.”

Would you say $1 million is appropriate compensation for a reality star?

In Random Reality TV News, Guess Which Famous Jackson This Persian Pop Princess Is Dating?

After I get my Sunday night fill of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” I turn my attention to reality TV drama of another sort — the “Shahs of Sunset.” This show follows a group of Persians in Beverly Hills who are living the glamorous life and trying to balance their parent’s expectations of excellence and tradition (such as Muslims and Jews sticking with their own kind) with their own desires, which are basically work hard and play even harder — and drunker.

Last night, one of the oddballs of the group, Asa, dropped a bit of a bomb when she introduced the audience to her longtime  boo. Asa is a refugee and doesn’t live quite as luxuriously as some of the other cast members — mostly because she’s spending her time trying to launch a pop career rather than doing something more stable like going to law school as her mother wishes. Anywho, when we found out who her man — or shall we say, her daddy — is last night, I can see why she thinks she might have a chance of making it.

The shah let it be known that Jermaine Jackson Jr. is her boo thang and he has been for two years now. After pointing out that as far as Persians are concerned, dating a black man is a major no-no, Asa proved she’s on that K Michelle with zero f**ks given. Not only does she call him “daddy,” and not just in the bedroom, she also talked about being very traditional and cooking him dinner every single day. And not just like, here’s some meat and potatoes. She busts out a four-course vegetarian meal for JJ on a daily.

Guess we can see why he’s not going anywhere. I wonder what Janet and them think of Asa though…

Are You Ready For This? Bravo Adds Two More Atlanta-Based Reality Shows To Their Lineup

The Real Housewives of Atlanta must be bringing in boatloads of cash for Bravo TV because it was recently announced that the network has just granted approval for production to begin on two new Atlanta-based reality shows.

One of the shows titled Taking Atlanta will follow the lives of a group of young professionals as they pursue careers in fashion, real estate, music, and hospitality. The storyline is also said to depict the characters’ lively social lives in addition to their turbulent family lives. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a great reality show to me. The show is reported to be produced by NFGTV along with Monami Entertainment. Sound familiar? Those are the same masterminds behind VH1′s Love and Hip Hop franchise, which is why the executive producers are said to be Mona Scott-Young, Toby Barraud and Stefan Springman.

The second show, Married to Medicine, will highlight the lives of stylish and successful women whose lives are somehow involved with medicine, whether they are doctors themselves or married to doctors. The show is said to have much drama accented with a touch of “southern flair.” So real medicine housewives of Altanta? This show is being produced by FremantleMedia North America and is being developed by Purveyors of Pop with Matt Anderson. Nate Green and Matty Buss are said to be the executive producers.

This is most likely an excellent move for Bravo TV considering the fact that The Real Housewives of Atlanta is the highest-rated show out of all the other series in the Real Housewives franchise.

It has also been reported that Kim Zolciak’s Don’t Be Tardy spin-off has been renewed for a second season, which will explore Kim and Kroy’s relationship as they move beyond the honeymoon phase of their marriage and delve into real life. At least that means she won’t be the annoying one on RHOA anymore.

What do you think about the concepts for these new shows? Will you be checking them out when they air?

Deuces! Kim Zolciak Confirms She’s Leaving RHOA

November 23rd, 2012 - By Jazmine Denise Rogers

Source: WENN

In the midst of the latest controversy surrounding Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kim Zolciak regarding her attempts to keep her parents from seeing her children and swirling rumors that she would be leaving the show, the 34-year-old reality star has confirmed her departure in an exclusive interview with In Touch Weekly.  From the details, it seems the viewers may actually be able to witness Kim walking off of the show in the December 2 episode. When asked why she decided to quit the show, here’s what Kim had to say:

“I was eight months pregnant and there was so much drama; I just had to walk,” Kim tells In Touch about her midseason exit from the hit Bravo series. “I’ve taken on so much in the past five years, but this was the final straw. My priority was the child inside me.”

Apparently all hell broke loose after Kim, who was 36-weeks pregnant at the time, was unable to attend co-star Cynthia Bailey’s vow renewal ceremony in Anguilla due to her doctor ordering her not travel. “They couldn’t understand why I couldn’t go,” Kim shared with In Touch.“Fighting is what we’re known for, but I’ve never disagreed with a pregnant woman. It’s not one life you’re dealing with, it’s two,” she continued. The reality star also took to her Twitter page to announce her departure.

“Thank you for all ur tweets today! I have left RHOA this season and have had an amazing 5 years who knows what the future holds! #familyfirst”

While the welfare of her children appears to be Kim’s sole reason for leaving, Straight From The A is reporting that there is more to the story. It seems that Kim’s co-stars, Nene, Phaedra, Kandi, and Cynthia all joined forces and refused to film with her last summer due to her unprofessional demeanor and the fact that she would frequently pull no-shows or leave the set before taping was over.

While the show will be much different without Kim, I’m sure RHOA producers will have no problem replacing her.

What do you think of Kim’s departure? Do you believe the show will be better without her?

Fo’real Kenya?! “Cynthia Should Retire Her Dusty Old Wigs And Worn Out Makeup Brushes”

If you hadn’t already noticed, Kenya Moore is going to be a handFUL on this season of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Interestingly after telling The YBF that she hopes her “presence [on the show] will raise the bar” — whatever that means — the reality TV newbie took some very low shots at her castmate Cynthia.

Writing on her Bravo TV blog, Kenya called herself clearing up her behavior at the Jet Beauty photo shoot, but what she really ended up doing was explaining why she thinks she’s earned the right to be rude to the girls trying out and why doesn’t see eye to eye with Cynthia. Here’s what she wrote:

“[I]t’s obvious Cynthia does not read, watch television, and has been under a rock when I exploded on the scene years ago. I made history being crowned the second black woman to win Miss USA and I was fifth place in The Miss Universe pageant. Let me refresh hers or anyone else’s sluggish memory…

“If you don’t know, you better ask somebody. I’m also that girl whose been on the covers of and modeled for over 30 magazines from Essence to Real Health to Maxim magazine. In fact, the very audition she held for the Jet Magazine Beauty of the Week, I was chosen as a Jet Beauty. I also have a Jet Magazine cover. Do you have a Jet Magazine cover, Cynthia? NO, you don’t.  Additionally, I’m that girl who has had multiple endorsements including my very own Pantene hair commercial, print ads, cosmetic campaigns, as well as numerous fashion layouts. Yep me.  However, models usually retire around 30-years-old. Even though Cynthia is a beautiful woman, at 45, maybe Cynthia should retire her dusty old wigs and worn out makeup brushes that are just as worn out as her welcome mat from the modeling industry.”

I’m no fan of Cynthia’s but at 45 she’s still landing modeling campaigns. In fact I just caught her in an INC ad in Glamour this past weekend. As for Kenya, she’s still trying to remind people of things she did 20 years ago. It’s all fine and well to have that success under your belt but she needs to turn it down just a notch. Her face might be cute but the ‘tude is not.

Money always seems to be a hot topic on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” – who has a sugar daddy, whose car got repo’d, who rocks designer label bags, who is playing with whose money and who is “rich.” That’s why we’re taking a look at the always interesting business ventures of the Atlanta Housewives and what they’re up to during their off-season – from wig designs and wine endorsements, to sex toys and funeral parlors, they’re keeping the dollars coming in all year round.

Kim Zolciak: Singer/Wig Designer/Wine Endorser

Much of the first few seasons of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” focused on Kim Zolciak’s burgeoning singing career – initially in country music, and she was also getting big money from her former sugar daddy, Big Poppa. Along the way, the former LPN also picked up a wig line, which she hasn’t quite “pulled off” yet (unlike Sheree.) Zolciak has also endorsed a line of fruit flavored wines. In 2011, her net worth was $500,000.

Linnethia “NeNe” Leakes: Actress/Businesswoman

The fourth season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” opened with NeNe Leakes screaming that she is “rich, b***h!” and bragging about her appearance on “Celebrity Apprentice” (which was later parodied on a YouTube remix.) But over the last year, Leakes has really blown up outside the reality TV show realm. She has landed a recurring role on “Glee” as well as a spot on the new sitcom, “The New Normal.” Leakes was also shown mixing business with pleasure in season four during meetings with “business partner” and pizza tycoon, John Kolaj, who showered her with lavish gifts. (“You get lunch; I’ll get the Louboutins!”) And don’t forget, Leakes is also an accomplished author. Check her book, Never Make the Same Mistake Twice: Lessons on Love and Life Learned the Hard Way. She was toting a net worth of $4.5 million in 2011.

Kandi Burruss: Singer/Songwriter/Sex Toy Designer

When Kandi Burruss joined the show in season two, she stood apart from the rest of the cast because her background was one of legit show business success. A former member of the ’90s R&B girl group, Xscape, Burruss also has a Grammy award under her belt for co-writing “No Scrubs” with TLC and has been a major songwriter and producer for years. Since becoming an Atlanta Housewife, Burruss has launched a line of adult toys called “Bedroom Kandi” that features a vibrator that moves to the beat of whatever music is playing. (This thing her mom uses is not one of them.) Aside from that, she has her own adult Ustream program called Kandi Koated Nights, and has her own competition show on Bravo called, “The Kandi Factory.” Burruss seems to be the wealthiest cast member, with a net worth of $35 million in 2011.

First Look Inside ‘The Kandi Factory’

We knew Kandi Burrus was getting her own spinoff series on Bravo TV but details of the show were pretty slim. Now, “The Kandi Factory” is ready to make its debut and Bravo has given viewers a sneak peak of what’s to come this season.

From the first look, the show has sort of an MTV “Made” feel. Each week, Kandi will be working with two wanna-be pop stars to whip them into shape vocally and she’ll also lend her choreographer and production team to help make these aspiring singers into acts with real talent. The inspiration for the show seems to be Kim Zolciak’s rise to “fame” with Kandi’s “Don’t be Tardy for the Party” track, so if she can make Kim work, she ought to be able to help anybody.

The show is set to debut March 4 at 10pm on Bravo. Check out the Sneak Peak of The Kandi Factory and tell us what you think. Will you tune in on Sundays?

Oops! Yvette Nicole Brown and Octavia Spencer Aren’t the Same Person?

January 23rd, 2012 - By Brande Victorian

Thank you Bravo for bringing us another “all black people look alike” moment.

In a hilarious call-in on last night’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” a woman called in to ask Yvette Nicole Brown how it was being in “The Help,” except the actress wasn’t in the movie, Octavia Spencer was.

Yvette took the mix-up lightly and said it’s pretty common for people to confuse her, Sherri Shepherd, who joined her on last night’s show, Lonnie Love, and Octavia Spencer for one another on a regular.

The funnier thing, as Sherri pointed out, is the caller wasn’t even white. So much for that being s*** white people say.

Check out the clip below. Have you ever gotten these actresses confused?
