Today People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, Adam Levine, turns the big 3-5, and we don’t know about you, but that was a big shock to us. The Maroon 5 singer honestly doesn’t look a day over 30, which got us to thinking about all the other white men debunking the myth that only black doesn’t crack. Are you shocked at how old some of the following stars are?
Thirty five years ago, Fred and Patsy Levine gave birth to the singing sensation known as Adam Levine. We’d say he owes them a big thank you for passing down those youthful genes.
While most people look at unibrows and think, Where is some wax when you need it?, for others, including in a few different countries, unibrows are deemed sexually attractive, especially on women. Seriously! They’re so fabulous that women without unibrows find themselves drawing them on with a liner. These people are not alone. When it comes to the unibrow, or the monobrow for the following famous folks, it’s something that comes with no stigma and that they’ve rocked or been known for at one time or another.
J. Cole has never been one to care too much about what people think about his appearance (“Crooked Smile” anyone?). So while other rappers might want to wax away or pluck out a unibrow they think might not help them get the ladies, Cole has no problems with keeping it confidently bushy.
Over the years Hollywood has paid homage to some of the most influential, and sometimes controversial, women of our time and in honor of Women’s History month, we take a look at some of the best movies about these important figures.
The Josephine Baker Story
Dancer/singer Josephine Baker was the first Black woman to star in a major motion picture film and become a world famous entertainer. Known for performing the banana dance, Baker would wear the fruit covering her bottom while remaining topless. She was also known for her contributions to the Civil Rights movement. Actress Lynn Whitfield stepped into the shoes of Baker for the 1991 HBO biopic The Josephine Baker Story. Unlike most biographical films, this one dug as deep into Baker’s personal life as her public one. Whitfield took home an Emmy and an NAACP award for her role in the film.

Chelsea Handler is not funny and she’s offensive on top of that. Her stale jokes about Lupita Nyong’o, Sidney Poitier, and the late Nelson Mandela during her Oscars takeover of the Huffington Post Twitter account are just the latest testaments to her mountain of non-funniness.
The Oscar tweets in question reference Angelina Jolie wanting to adopt Nyong’o and Poitier; Handler made another joke that fell flat about Mandela being resurrected. Good jokes about Jolie’s adoptions expired about five years ago and laughs at the expense of Mandela’s recent death are just tacky.
It’s quite possible for non-black comedians to talk about race and specifically about black people without being racist or racially insensitive. Louis CK is a good example of that and Bill Maher hits the right note most of the time, but Handler has not yet figured out how to talk about race without coming across as racist.
Her brand of humor often centers on black male rappers and the prevailing stereotypes about them. When she hosted the 2wereVMAs, she started the show by being patted on the butt and otherwise sexually harassed by a slew of black men (she eventually straddled Rick Ross) and during her monologue she referred to Kanye West as the big black elephant in the room. On her show, Chelsea Lately, Handler regularly interviews black men (again, lots of rappers) and peppers them with “edgy” questions filled with stereotypes.
She’s going for irreverent and punchy, but most of the time it just comes off as ridiculous. Handler completely jumped the shark when she started dating rapper 50 Cent. After their relationship ended, Handler’s critics were provide plenty of fodder for their concerns about her racial insensitivity.
On Howard Stern’s radio show, Handler talked a bit about their break-up. “I think I called him the worst thing you could say to a black person short of calling him the n-word. I said something like you’re like a street person basically. Something along the lines of being a gangster, and it was really, really offensive and I hung up and I’ve never spoken to him again,” explained Handler. Nice to know that Handler goes straight for racially offensive takedowns when she’s dealing with black people in her inner circle.

There’s being a fan and then there’s taking things too far. These fans decided to show their undying loyalty to their favorite celebrities by professing their love in ink…unfortunately.
The Ciara neck tattoo
She may be engaged to Atlanta singer/songwriter Future, and thus taken, but that didn’t stop one man from getting Ciara’s face tattooed on his neck. The die hard C-squad fan club member showed off his ink on social media and the soon-to-be mom reposted it on her instagram page with a shout-out to her faithful follower. No word yet how Future feels about the tattoo.
In this day and age where a celebrity’s every move can be well chronicled, somehow these celebrities managed to surprise us all by popping up pregnant out of nowhere. No announcement, no save the date, just them, the red carpet, and a baby bump.
Lil Kim reigned as the Queen Bee of rap in the late 90’s. Although her career took a nosedive following a jail stint for lying under oath, the diminutive star still managed to release new music. She may not be the hottest female rapper around anymore but the Brooklyn emcee will have a new title to her name. Lil Kim popped up at an event during New York Fashion Week earlier this month with a big bun in the oven. She’s a few months into the pregnancy and her boyfriend and daddy to be Mr. Papers revealed she is having a baby boy.

Technology can be a beautiful thing because it provides a connection between a celebrity and his or her fans, but in the wrong hands, technology can expose a star in ways they never intended. Unfortunately, these 15 celebs found themselves in the middle of nude photo scandals.
He may be Kim Kardashian’s man and baby daddy now but a few years ago, Kanye West was a single man on the prowl. Back in 2010 the “All of the Lights” rapper allegedly snapped a picture of his family jewels and sent it out to multiple women. West wasn’t completely unclothed in the photo. He had on a pair of boxers but his private part was provocatively exposed. The owner’s natural response was to shop the nude pics to various media outlets for the highest price.

Lately there’s been a lot of attention cast on the celebrity men who dip out their spouses or girlfriends for a little loving on the side but there’s little mention of the men who stay faithful – or at least appear to be… Here’s our list of 15 faithful celebrity men who we never hear cheating rumors about.
Barack Hussein Obama was sworn in as the 44th U.S. president on January 20, 2009 but long before he was known as the first Black leader of the Free World, he was a husband to wife Michelle. The two met when Michelle was assigned to mentor a young Barack, who was a summer associate. Their first date was a trip to the theater to catch Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing and ever since the couple wed in October of ’92, Barack has done the right thing by his wife. They have two daughters together and while he has probably the most stressful job in America, the President and his First Lady appear to be just as in love living in the White House as the day they got married.
