You know Bey can’t bring anything less than her A+ game without people coming up with all sorts of rumors about her, so when she stepped out in a very form-fitting Roberto Cavalli dress without her Spanx last week, naturally the half-inch of skin people saw around her mid-section had to mean she was pregnant again.

Umm or not.

You already know she’s not going to address the nonsense, but surprisingly Jay-Z did when E! News caught up with him at the NBA 2K13 release at the 40/40 Club in NYC.

When the host asked him boldly, “Are you having another baby?” He stammered, “Tonight? No.”

“Nine Months?” the host pushed.

“Not in nine months. Absolutely not.”

And because Jay knows the Bey baby thirst is so real, he added, “Not in one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight or nine months.”

So there you have it. Blue Ivy will not have a sibling until she’s at least 2 years old. Try not to get too upset.

Jay-Z  already told us he’s not a businessman, he’s a business…man. And he proved that statement to be true once again with  a press conference in his native Brooklyn announcing the arrival of the Nets to NYC’s most populous borough, the new arena and the impact of the team’s move on the local community.

From the press conference:

“We’ve decided that the final name would be the Brooklyn Nets,” said the rapper who grew up only minutes away at the Marcy Houses and later at 560 State Street.

“It’s already created so many jobs… there are lots of vendors,” added Jay Z speaking from the plaza at Atlantic Terminal overlooking the Center.

“I like that. You know what it is, it’s deep love. Biggie had a line ‘spread love, that’s the Brooklyn way.’ It’s a deep love we have for our heroes. We walk around with that,” said Jay.

She had been on a babymoon in Croatia with her hubby and friends, but Beyoncé has made it back stateside and decided to pop in for Fashion Week in NY with little Sis Solange. What do you think of Bey’s glitzy maternity wear? What about Solange’s outfit? Diggin’ it?

Jay-Z took his preggers wife on babymoon/b-day trip to Venice and the pair then headed over to Croatia to hang out on a yacht and live the good life.  Beyoncé showed off her baby bump in a white kini. Too cute.

Beyoncé turned 30 today! Whether you’re a stan, fan, hater or could care less, you couldn’t have possibly missed her big baby news at the VMAs and you for sure have memorized (even if unconsciously)  at least a few songs from B.

The 2011 VMAs are over, all the moon men have been handed out and all tributes are complete. Who did well? Who should have stayed home? Whose tribute was wack sauce? Find out all of that and more when you dig in!

Thanks to Time Warner with a little help from Irene I found myself without TV or Internet yesterday. It was cool, I had decided that it was going to be a chill weekend. In fact I had forgotten that MTV’s Video Music Awards were airing this past Sunday. That was until my friend sent me a two word text message. “She’s pregnant.” Of course I didn’t know who he was talking about but I soon learned. Immediately my easy Sunday turned into a flurry of emotion, from my initial surprise to my overly dramatic frustration as I began a frantic search for the footage. (I used the Internet through my phone.) Once I’d watched the video, read the tweets and had a couple of conversations I went to sleep, exhausted from the series of emotions I’d just experienced.

It wasn’t until I woke up this morning that I had to ask myself why was I so affected by this news. I, like many people, have listened to Beyoncé’s and Jay-Z’ music; but I, like most people in this world, do not know Beyoncé or Shawn Carter. People get pregnant everyday, why was I trippin’?

This celebrity obsessed culture we live in was the most obvious culprit. And nothing says celebrity like the one of the wealthiest couples in the world having a wealthy baby. But I quickly realized it was a bit bigger than that. As women we’re always on the mission to achieve or obtain all the “things” we fantasized about as little girls. Of course every woman wants something different but for the vast majority of us, the dream isn’t complete unless it comes with a fulfilling career, a decent man and children…or at least a puppy. Again I don’t know Beyoncé but from the looks of it, it seems like Bey has a check in all those boxes. Of course I’m not under the naive impression that her life is perfect, but if we’re talking about having it all, then Beyoncé is at least a symbol of that.

And while Beyoncé is bearing the child, we can’t forget Jay-Z’s contribution. Plus we can’t help but gush at the smiley moment Jay and Kanye shared in the audience. Here’s Jay-Z, a former drug dealer, turned rapper, turned businessman, turned proud papa. Who could write a better story. We’ve all thought about being with the “bad boy” and from all appearances this is their story. You couldn’t make this stuff up. It’s a bit precious, you must admit.

When we think about having it all, it’s important to note order. Someone tweeted “Beyoncé dated, married and then got pregnant…LADIES #takenotes.” This is not a message from the conservative right wing, but let’s not play like studies and life experiences haven’t proven that raising a baby in a two parent home is the ideal situation. Again, I’m not president of Beyoncé’s fan club and I don’t believe she’s some type of angel. I recognize that her publicity team is no joke, if there were any blemishes on her spotless record, we certainly wouldn’t know about it. But let’s take a minute to celebrate the fact that the world’s sweetheart, a black woman, is setting a stellar example for young women around the world.

The BIG story from Sunday night’s VMAs is that Beyonce announced her pregnancy on the red carpet by cradling her baby bump in a flowy, bright goddess gown. When we posted the pic on our Facebook page, some charged that the pic was photoshopped (smh), but her rep did confirm the news. And if you saw her VMA performance, you saw her big reveal of her baby bump and Jay’s priceless look of pride when she did so. By far the cutest moment of the VMAs.

Interestingly enough, B just did four shows in NYC last week and though people did note that she didn’t dance much, there wasn’t big talk of a baby bump. Shout out to B’s style team! She looks to be four months along from her pics. How appropriate since her album is called “4.”

Jay and B had lots of pressure and false alarms in the press when it comes to baby making. They married in 2008 and both superstars have very time consuming careers. Apparently they decided that now is the right time. At 29 with millions of dollars in the bank,  millions of records sold and a whopping 72 songs recorded for the making of her most recent album,  Beyonce can definitely say she had a very full career before kids and you better believe Mrs. Knowles-Carter is “strong enough to bare children, then get back to business.”
