Ever since I heard the slowed beat of Ghost Town DJ’s “My Boo” drop, I instantly had Ciara’s latest single “Body Party” on repeat. I knew the video would feature her slithering and sliding in moves that would keep EMTs busy for weeks as women across the country blew out their backs and pulled hamstrings trying to imitate the moves for their men.

I wasn’t disappointed when Ciara scissored her legs in the air for boyfriend Future as they play out how they first met for the video, but it was like deja-vu as I saw her relationship slowly steal the spotlight from her first two singles. Is it me, or does something happen to a recording artist when they fall in love and choose to flaunt it in their work? After watching Ciara’s steamy video for “Body Party,” I couldn’t help but wonder if she’s risking the buzz she’s worked so hard to build back by allowing boyfriend, Future, to make so many appearance.

Mixing business and pleasure is a risky move.  There’s something about when celebs turn the camera on to their personal lives that causes their careers and their relationships to fall apart.  Here are a few celebs who might want to think about leaving their boo behind-the-scenes in the future.

1. J.Lo

J.Lo had a pretty good buzz going as a singer even if her “hits” were only heard in the clubs, but as soon as Ben Affleck took J.Lo from the block to the yacht in her Jenny From the Block vid, Jenny’s singing career went man down for a minute and she was left man-less and a little embarrassed.  Not to mention Ben credited the cameo with almost ruining his career. And who can forget how clearly sprung she was on the track “Dear Ben,” in which she sings,” I love you, you’re perfect.” Well apparently the feelings weren’t mutual; Ben quickly married another Jennifer after their break up and made like 11 kids with her.  Sting. Word of advice for the former fly girl: You can sing all the love songs you want about your boo, just don’t name them after him and throw said boo in all your videos.

In a new study from the University of South Wales, men with beards were found to be more attractive, better parents and healthier than shaven ones. That’s right fellas, grow it out!

The university surveyed 350 women and 200 men by asking them to rate men by attractiveness, health, masculinity and parenting abilities from photographs of men who were clean-shaven, lightly or heavily stubbled and fully bearded. Published in the latest issue of “Evolution and Human Behavior,” the surprising results found that “beardedness affects judgments of male socio-sexual attributes and suggest that an intermediate level of beardedness is most attractive while full-bearded men may be perceived as better fathers who could protect and invest in offspring.”

Ben Affleck is the latest celebrity to sign on to the “Live Below The Line” campaign, an international initiative in which people will voluntarily live on $1.50 per day to get a sense of the lives of the 1.4 billion people who are forced into poverty every day of the year.

The initiative is part of the Global Poverty Project, which works to raise awareness and alleviate extreme poverty. For the “Live Below The Line,” participants will live on less than $2 per day for five days between April 29 to May 3. According to TIME, more than 20,000 are expected to participate. Among the other big names joining in are Josh Groban and Sophia Bush.

“Your total five-day food bill shouldn’t go over $7.50, and you’re not supposed to rummage through the pantry for snacks, unless you factor how much the items cost into your total. Drinking lots of tap water is advised, and there’s no need to calculate how much it costs or add that into your budget,” the article says. The Live Below The Line website has recipes and tips for recruiting others to participate.

A relaxing family vacation in Hawaii came to a horrible conclusion when Halle Berry landed at the LAX airport last night with fiancé Oliver Martinez and her daughter Nahla. As the trio attempted to make their way out of the airport, they were surrounded by paparazzi, reports the Huffington Post.

A concerned Berry attempted to shoo them away, yelling:

“Get away, there’s a child. What’s wrong with you people? There’s a child here! “

The paps of course, continued snapping photos of the seemingly overwhelmed actress and her family, which is when things are alleged to have gotten physical. Witnesses say that Oliver kicked one photographer in the leg and wrist. Sources say the photographer then grabbed Oliver’s arm and asked why he kicked him, which totally set the French film actor off. Both airport police and an ambulance were called to the scene; however, no statement has been released from the authorities regarding the incident and what became of it.

In the wake of the traumatic ordeal, sources tell the NY Post that Halle is in the process of rounding up a gang of her most famous friends, including Ben Afleck and Jennifer Garner to legally put an end to the paparazzi’s ability to snap unauthorized photos of celebrity children.

Jennifer Lopez and her mother Guadalupe Lopez

According to the folks over at Us Weekly, sources are saying that weeks before Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony officially broke things off, Jen’s mother, Guadalupe, sought out Ben Affleck for advice on what Jennifer should do about her failing marriage.

Crazy right!? Guadalupe was always a big fan of Affleck after Jen and Ben were the “it-couple” for nearly two years. Guadalupe trusted him and thought he could provide some helpful advice on what her daughter should do. Allegedly, Ben replied back wishing the actress/singer well and offered what little encouragement and input he could. What that “input” was, well, that wasn’t said. But we can only imagine…

Word out there is that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s relationship was full of control and jealousy issues, including allegations of an affair in 2009 on Anthony’s part, but I don’t know if taking advice from an ex is the way to go. Even if you weren’t the one who directly did it…
