Bobby Brown Blocked from Seeing Bobbi Kristina and Attending Whitney’s Funeral
Bobby Brown has been made out to be the scapegoat while the public tries to explain Whitney Houston’s sudden death Saturday, and apparently even Whitney’s family believe her ex-husband is to blame.
Despite reportedly flying back to LA after his concert Saturday to be with his daughter, Bobby Brown still has not seen Bobbi Kristina, and he thinks Whitney’s mother, Cissy is to blame. According to TMZ:
“Bobby is angry and frustrated because he only came to LA to care for 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina after she was hospitalized twice.
“As for why he’s blaming Whitney’s mom for the freeze out — we’re told Brown thinks Cissy has hated him for years.
The hate doesn’t stop there. Bobby has also supposedly been told not to attend Whitney’s funeral services at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark.
“People connected to the Houston family have reached out to Bobby to warn him that he shouldn’t attempt to attend the funeral because the family isn’t fond of him.”
No official word has been given from the family on this, and Bobby says he only wants to attend to support his daughter who is said to be cared for in a Los Angeles home as of now.Bobby hasn’t said what he plans to do but insiders say if he shows up, he will “most likely be turned away.”
While I think we’re all in agreement that Whitney is to blame for her own drug addiction, and ultimately her death, I can see why the family would have a hard time with his presence at the funeral, but keeping him from his daughter—not knowing what type of relationship they have—just seems unfair.
What you do think about how Whitney’s family is shunning Bobby? Are they wrong?

Stupid H*e Isn’t So Stupid: 7 Other Random Videos That Should’ve Been Banned

I’m sure you heard about the fact that the honorable folks over at BET decided to ban Nicki Minaj’s video for the track “Stupid H*e.” Depending on who you ask, that was an awesome decision to some sick of tasteless and mindless music, while it was a sexist and stupid decision by others. To keep it pretty real, BET is known for not having the best taste when it comes to music video choices, allowing the most ratchet and somewhat tasteless videos by rappers to get clearance but wanting women to stay ladylike: they’ve also banned Ciara’s sexually charged video “Ride,” and Teairra Mari’s pretty harmless “Sponsor” video. But all in all, I’ve seen a lot worse. We could run down a list of the very disgusting Tip Drill-esque videos BET has shown late at night with all the booty bouncing and credit card sliding, but instead, we’re running down some of our favorite stupid videos that we probably could have lived without seeing. If they were banned we probably wouldn’t have felt any real way about it (*Kanye shrug*).

BET is continuing its trend of sexism by being harsher on sexed-up female artists than the males who have slews of naked women around them while they rap suspect lyrics.
According to TMZ, the network is refusing to air Nicki Minaj’s latest single, “Stupid Hoe.” A rep for BET wouldn’t specify exactly why the video was banned, but he did say BET will not broadcast it. Other sources at the company said the ban was put in place because the video is too explicit for TV.
A lot of people had strong (negative) reactions to the song and video, and BET would no doubt have it’s work cut out for them bleeping out every use of “hoe” in the song, but aside from a few booty pops in a cage, the video wasn’t any raunchier than others I’ve seen the network air. In recent years, Ciara’s “Ride,” Teairra Mari’s “Sponsor,” and now Nicki’s song are the only videos I can recall being banned. If there was still an “Uncut,” I wonder if they would get airplay there? That’s where all the raunchy male artists were given a pass.
I’m not saying Nicki’s song and video don’t have questionable aspects, but it seems BET is saying it’s only OK for women to be raunchy in a video when a man is pulling the strings.
Here’s the video if you haven’t seen it. What do you think about the ban? Did BET make the right choice or do they come down too hard on female artists?
