We saw her grow up right before our eyes. From a teen on MTV’s Run’s House, begging her father to get a tattoo, to a successful business woman manning her own empire, Angela Simmons has come into her own and proven herself as an intelligent, ambitious, dedicated entrepreneur. She was the editor for Angela’s Rundown, a monthly magazine targeted for youth, which covered teen topics, style, music, and fashion. In 2007, Angela and her sister Vanessa launched Pastry Footwear,  under their family’s line of footwear, Run Athletics. The first product line released was the “Cake Collection”, inspired by their favorite pastries. Pastry is now a household name and a multi- million dollar company.

At only 24 years of age, Angela is quickly securing her spot as a successful entrepreneur and doing an impeccable job maintaining her family’s ‘name’ and reputation. We sat down and talked to Ms. Simmons about her current business ventures, work ethic and passions. Check out what this business savvy young lady had to say!

Style to Steal or Girl, Stop: Scandalous and Fly Outfits From Zoe, Naomi, Rih-Rih & More

We’re rounding up some of the most interesting looks of the week to see what you gals think about these celeb fashion choices. Are they worth stealing, or do these ladies need to stop it? Let’s start with Miss Adrienne Bailon…

Talk about controversy. Bailon showed up to Caesars Entertainment’s “Escape to Total Rewards” event in NYC last night in a dress that showed off more than her curves. It was a creamed color number with a large pieced of ruched material covering her ladybits. Too bad that while being snapped by photogs, a wind blew and those same ladybits were exposed–sans underwear. The bottom of the dress was sheer, but the back had black beading details to leave something to the imagination. She did her best with a cropped leather jacket and some see-through booties to finish it. Nice try, and the dress was kind of cute, but for not throwing something over your cooch, you get a stop it!

Somebody Come Get This Fool: Bow Wow Reveals Celeb Chicks He Slept With

In ratchet news for the day, everyone’s favorite rapper (NOT), Bow Wow, went on Power 105.1′s “The Breakfast Club” this morning to…well, I’m not really sure what his original intentions were (don’t think he has a new album out–probably some mixtape crap). However, on the show, which is known for touching on the most random and somewhat inappropriate topics, he discussed the celebrity women he “got it in with” with over the years. The list ranged from chicks he dated (Ciara and Angela Simmons), to ones that were just friends with benefits (Kim Kardashian, son??? Eww). Check out who he threw all the way under the bus in an effort to extend his 25 minutes of fame. Check it:

I was never, ever a real Bow Wow fan back when I was a teen and all my young colleagues were gushing over his light eyes and long hair. And now that he’s older, this guy is literally becoming a hot mess by the hour with all the drama he cooks up. He must have really fell out with all of these young women badly (besides Superhead, that’s just how she does…) to feel so comfortable as to air out all their business. I’m sure Ciara will lose her mind on Twitter soon enough, and she should. What is this, high school? You’re not just going to tell your boys, but you also feel alright with telling any and everybody in radio land? Aren’t you a little girl’s daddy right now? Maybe the gay rumors they made him address had him thinking he needed to get macho on us. But Lil Bow Weezy needs to graciously just stop out of the spotlight because these really random and ratchet attempts at trying to remain relevant are just too tacky.

Etched in Skin: Celeb Ladies and their Tattoos

May 6th, 2011 - By Erica Renee

Once thought of as taboo marks on the body, tattoos have quickly become bodily accessories for many celebrities, young and old. After all because of the permanent component, young celebrities with tattoos grow up to become older celebrities with tattoos.

These celebrities have used tattoos as a means of self expression or even image branding. Take Rihanna for instance, her tattoos reflect the bad girl image she attempts to portray. So her constant itch for the ink doesn’t surprise us; and considering she went through a ‘rock girl’ phase, it seems to work for her.

While some still consider them tasteless and unladylike, tattoos on some women don’t necessarily ‘taint’ their classiness. The overall negative connotation associated with tattoos on women has lessened, and we’ve seen more celebrity women scratch their itch for the ink.

Successful Celebrity Offspring

There are many perks to being the child of a celebrity. The assumed wealth for one (if your parent knows how to save you’ll hit the jackpot), and of course, the many open opportunities that can become available to you: good schools, contacts to break into the business with, etc. But many a celebrity kid has chosen to take advantage of their opportunities and the names of their people in a negative way–see Montana Fishburne for the best and worst example. But others do work, good work, and slowly but surely step out of their parent’s shadow, use the name well, and make a name for themselves–now see the Marley children and Romeo (not so lil’ anymore) for a great example. Here’s just a short list of other black celebrity offspring who ditched the scandal for some success.
