A little more than a year after felony allegations were brought against Floyd Mayweather for hitting his ex-girlfriend and threatening two of their children, the boxer has been given a 90-day jail sentence.

Floyd plead guilty to reduced battery domestic violence and harassment charges before a Las Vegas judge, allowing him to avoid trial. The 34-year-old was also ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and pay a $2,500 fine.

The prosecutor pushed for a strong punishment against Floyd, saying he’s had plenty of run ins with the law yet always manages to escape consequences.

“He just continually gets himself into trouble and he is able to get himself out of it as well. Essentially it is because he is who he is and is able to get away with everything.

“The only thing that’s going to get this man’s attention is incarceration,” Lisa Luzaich told Judge Melissa Saragosa.

Still, the judge said she was swayed by Floyd’s admission that he hit his ex-girlfriend and twisted her arm, and that two of their children, ages 9 and 10 witnessed the attack.

Floyd is expected to report to jail Jan. 6. Do you think 90 days will serve as enough of a wake-up call for Floyd and his invincible attitude?
