This year marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic, JET magazine. The African American weekly has chronicled culture, fashion, politics and entertainment over the past six decades. (And how could we forget the beauties of the week?) In many ways the book has documented the African American life. 1951- Josephine Baker was dubbed “the world’s best dressed” woman in this issue. We know Josephine liked to prance around in the nude on stage but apparently when she did wear clothes she shut it down.
