“I wish a brother would…”

That’s what a couple of my girls said after hearing about some of the trifling celebrity relationship news yesterday. First, we heard the audio of Mel Gibson’s ranting threats to his newborn daughter’s mother, and then we saw the pictures of The-Dream (Terius Nash) gallivanting on the beach with not his wife–and the mother of his newborn daughter–but his assistant Melissa Santiago.

It’s not a black man thing, nah, these are just some lousy dudes. And while I’m no male basher, (and trust me, I have personal and rightful reasons to be) I think I can speak for a whole bunch of women as I say “enough is enough.”

The-Dream, the same guy who wrote “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” for Beyonce, actually put the ring on Christina Milian’s finger and still couldn’t treat her right.

One red flag for Christina? Her husband of 10 months recently told Essence magazine that he doesn’t go out of his way to help raise their 5-month-old daughter Violet.

“I don’t [help out] because my ‘helping out’ turns into expectations,” The-Dream said. “I’ll get Violet on a late night maybe one or two times, but after that, no. If Christina’s tired, call the nanny, call Violet’s granny. We got people.”

Wow.
