When you think about it, who better than your closest friends to match you with your dream man? Every woman has conversations with her girlfriends about what she wants in a man. How tall he has to be, how much money he has to make, what kind of body he has to have, the list goes on. We talk about our type and standards we have for the men we like to date. So if your girlfriend tells you she has someone for you, he should be the man of your dreams right? Maybe not.

The fact that your friend knows exactly what you like in a man is irrelevant. It all depends on what type of friend she is. If she is the kind of friend that is going to pick someone based on what kind of man she wants you be with, that’s who she will pick. If he ends up being your type that’s great but usually he ends up being some random man that has a “nice personality”.  One of my friends would always pick or point out men for me. Once I saw them it was like she heard everything I said, and chose the opposite.

On the other hand your friend can also pick someone who fits your type to the last detail. This type of friend may not agree with your choices, but will feed into them because she knows it will make you happy.  And of the course the perfect medium is the friend who picks a man who is a combination of both. He has the physical characteristics you like as well as the personality and qualities you need in a man. When it comes to meeting new potentials, it is always good to have an open mind.  Depending on how tight you hold on to your standards, maybe you will actually meet someone who ends up being exactly what you needed. In the meantime make sure your friends know exactly what you want so if the time comes she is ready to help you pick Mr. Right.
