Style to Steal or Girl, Stop: Jackie Christie and Miss Piggy (YES, You Read Right)

"Jackie Christie fashion"

Now that we can finally get a break from all things Basketball Wives (and start watching the drama of Love & Hip-Hop), a lot of people have been happy to also get a break from Jackie Christie (I had such high hopes for her when that show started, but alas, she has no act right). Well, that break is about to get interrupted really quick, because it’s time we analyze her fashion sense.

The reality TV personality and VERY committed wife of Doug Christie showed up at The Q by Pasquale fall 2011 collection viewing party last night in LA wearing this very, very short black dress that stopped mid-thigh and seemed to be an off-the-shoulder number. Arms out, legs out, homegirl definitely was trying to show off a little something, something to somebody. To have some fun with this outfit, which looks like it may be made out of velour, she paired it with the multi-colored, printed heeled knee-high boots. Her jewelry was minimal with a gold bangle, and some ring bling, and her hair looked fab with a bobbed look accented by swept bangs.

I’ll say this. If she was ever going to wear those boots with anything, a solid color like black is probably the best bet. However, I hate this LBD. It looks like a potato sack someone threw velour on, cut the hem really short for, and then lied and said you could wear it off the shoulder. The boots, which I’m hoping were a shoe from this Q by Pasquale glass shoe line, were doing the absolute most.  As I said, her makeup and hair looks good, but something about this ‘fit is sloppy looking in a way. Not trying to be mean in saying that…it just does.

"Miss Piggy fashion"

And I thought I would take this opportunity to also do a style eval of one of my favorite people…er, Muppets! Miss Piggy stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with her longtime on and off boo, Kermit the Frog. She wore a tasteful long skirt, a v-neck jacquard-esque top that showed off a little cleavage, and some leopard print gloves. And of course, we can’t forget that Miss Piggy stepped out in her Louboutin peep-toe pumps and some pearls! Per the usual, her hair was curled and fab, and her makeup was eyelash-alicious. It’s a rarity you actually get to see Miss Piggy’s legs crossed, hell it’s a rarity to see her legs at all, so getting to see her shoe game is exciting since she’s is the most fashionable muppet ever. All in all, there are a lot of prints going on for this fit, and I probably wouldn’t recommend it to be worn out in these streets by folks of the human form. But for a puppet, I think she looks damn good, right? STEAL!

Thoughts?
