You do realize that the hair that comes from good quality weaves is Asian hair? There are Asians and Malaysians making a living off selling black women Asian hair. You can imagine that doesn’t improove their opinion of black people at all. Check out Chris Rock’s movie about Black hair.

I’m glad that I’ve stopped wearing weaves.  I used to wear weaves six years ago for two years straight and my hair was at the beginning stages of traction alopecia.  When it was taken out, I had to cut everything off to start the process over again.  Now, my hair is extremely healthy and it is near mid-back length.

Hes ok. Those braids are a tad bulky as are most stylist. I really think nets for sew ins are very unhealthy. You can’t properly shampoo or moisturize your scalp and they are a breeding ground for bacteria. Nonetheless he is a celebrity stylist, so I assume hes doing something right #noshade lol. Cant wait to see the other episodes!

Netting also drys your hair out

I’ve worked in salons with celebrity clientale, that doesn’t make you a better stylist. I seen celebrity stylist do unethical things to their clients hair just as people who are not celebrity stylist do. I worked in A Beverly Hills salon an was quite surprised what they did to make a buck. So that doesn’t mean he’s doing it right, it just mean that the client does not know what’s right or wrong just like in any other salon.

*I washed my hair every other day. There was a typo in my previous post.

  • Former Dudley User

Before I went natural and locked my hair I used Dudley Hair products the relaxer, moisturizer, etc. They have a good product line and a little goes a long way. It kept my hair nice and shiny and not greasy. My hair grew healthy because of their products; of course you need to do your part by maintaining your trims and trimming doesn’t have to be so much but enough and wrap your hair at night. I washed my hair every other way which was unheard for in my family until they saw how well my hair grew. I would wrap my hair with a comb and tie a mesh and let it air dry. It was nice and fluffy and bouncy the next day.

Wash your hair with bleach will dry out the hair. Also it doesn’t matter how much product you put your hair will shed the same amount. Shed hair is natural part of your hair growth cycle.

u shampoo hair to get rid of lice!

  • Babyangel617

Seriously? When did mineral oil become a good ingredient for your hair? And my hair needs to be straightened in order to have it braided for a weave? FALSE

A lot of women use weaves as protective styles so that they don’t have to apply heat to their own hair.

    • St_louis_ant

u dont have to flat iron it makes your braids flatter !

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Sharee-Moye/100000512666019 Sharee Moye

flat irons damage the hair. smaller braid is what makes your braids flatter. And on top of flat ironing he braided her hair with no synthetic hair which is twice as damaging. The synthetic hair serves as a protecter as well because your not cutting into the hair with the thread.

    • fabchic

I think the man knows what he’s talking about. If you want your weave to lay as flat as possible, then it needs to be flat ironed before braiding. That little bit of heat will not hurt your hair, and if it will then it’s beyond damaged.

I’m shocked at the condition of this young ladies hair, it appears to be in terrible shape. I agree Babyangel617, you never straighten a clients hair befor weaving. Your right the purpose for many of us wearing weaves is to protect the natural hair. It should always be done in it’s natural state, otherwiswe your causing more damage. And a light natural oil should only be applied….
