Vanessa Williams Books New TV Gig After “Housewives”

November 9th, 2011 - By Brande Victorian

Vanessa Williams may be saying goodbye to Wisteria Lane when “Desperate Housewives” concludes its eighth and final season, but the actress will hardly be out of work. Williams has already signed a deal to headline a new project targeted for next fall, and she is the first star from the defunct “Desperate” show to book a developing new series gig.

No word yet on what the show will be, but this move proves the former “Ugly Betty” star has some serious star power. It’s amazing how Vanessa Williams came back from scandal to consistently win as the most successful former Miss America of all time. It’s truly an inspiration to keep pursuing your dreams, no matter what the set backs.

Are you happy to hear there will be more of Ms. Williams on next year?
