Can a woman known for her blond behavior date an Ivy League grad? If you haven’t heard the news, Madame Jessica Simpson has found a new love in former NFL player and Yale alum, Eric Johnson. (He’s a sports hottie who’s also intelligent?!) That’s a double slam-dunk, in some people’s eyes. But, here are some other real questions to consider:

1) Reports state that Johnson contrasts Simpson strongly because of his pedigree and all, but does Simpson’s “blondness” make her any less “bright” than him, or others? And did you ever buy into her whole “I’m-so-ditzy” act in the first place?

2) Is her new beau automatically “bright” because of his alma mater?

3) Do we tend to make assumptions about people based on where they went to school? If so, why?

4) Have you ever dated anyone who was known for characteristics that were completely opposite from yours? (i.e. you’re a feisty loudmouth, and he’s a quiet, geeky chess champ?)
