This past evening while watching television, I was horrified by a story that came on the news about a mother of two who was in the hospital holding on to dear life after a heavy plastic and metal cart came crashing down on her from four stories up high at a Target store’s parking structure. The huge cart landed on her head while she was walking out of the store in East Harlem, getting Halloween candy with her son. He was not hurt. What made this story a bit more horrific was the fact that this wasn’t a complete and total accident of a wandering cart, but was a stunt gone horribly wrong that was pulled by two 12-year-old boys who launched the cart over for fun and didn’t know the woman was walking below. While a lot of people on blogs and news sites went in on the kids (uh, they’re still kids people), my only thought was: “Where in the HELL were their parents? Guardians? ANYBODY???”
Crazy ish like this is starting to happen a little too much, and when kids do bad, you know where the finger is pointed. Check out these things that the staff and I compiled which we feel people need to stop doing for the sake of their children, and as the above incident proves–for the general public’s sake too. So on that note: Please, come get your kids.
