Despite whatever grievances I might have had with Season 4 as a whole of Being Mary Jane, I must admit that I was saddened to hear that the show will soon come to an end. And as we told you this week, by soon, I mean with a two-hour movie that will serve as a season finale next year.
The show has always been very entertaining and relatable. Before she was the star of her own series, The Haves and the Have Nots, Tika Sumpter played shoe store worker Tonya in the Being Mary Jane movie/pilot that started the series. While keeping the store open late for Mary Jane, both women get a rude awakening when Mary Jane’s boyfriend, Andre, enters the shop with his wife, Avery.
