Viola Davis To Write Corduroy Sequel
Viola Davis is out here working like the true bawse that she truly is. Not only is she starring in his tv shows, producing new ones with her husband, now she’s adding children’s book author to her resume.
According to the Associated Press, Davis will be writing the sequel to the book along with Viking Children’s Books. The title Corduroy Takes a Bow is set to be released on September 11, 2018. It continues the story by Don Freeman about the teddy bear, who was originally introduced to the public 50 years ago in 1968.
Ten years later, Freeman wrote the sequel to the Corduroy book called A Pocket for Corduroy. Coincidentally, it was the same year he passed away.
In a statement, Davis said she had special memories of Corduroy as both a child and as a parent as she now reads the books to her daughter Genesis.
