Kevin Hart may have been caught in quite the cheating scandal last month, one that included extortion and a sorrowful Instagram video where he admits wrongdoing that did hurt his wife and kids. He may have also put Eniko in a position to be stressed, questioned and embarrassed while carrying their first child together. He may even have put her in a position for the world, including ex-wife Torrei Hart, to taunt, find joy in her pain and say things like, “If it could happen to me it could happen to anyone.” But despite that, Kevin wants the world to know that Eniko is still his “rib.”

In a new Instagram post for Women Crush Wednesday, the 38-year-old said he is grateful to still have his wife following his extortion scandal. He shared a sentimental message after posting a picture of her at their recent baby shower for son, Kenzo:

“Thanking God for this beautiful strong woman that I am lucky enough to still be calling my wife today,” he wrote in the caption. “You are truly amazing….Love you. #WCW #WCE#MyF–kingRib #Harts ….P.S please feel free to insert your hate below….Im as strong as it gets people so that s–t doesn’t faze me. Im not a b—h which is why my page isn’t private. I hope your negativity makes your day better. Love ya.”

This statement is much different than the public apology he shared last month, and much more defiant.

“I’m at a place in my life where I feel like I have a target on my back, and because of that I should make smart decisions and recently I didn’t,” he said in that apology clip. “I’m not perfect, I’m not going to say I am or claim to be in any way, shape or form. I made a bad error in judgment and put myself in an environment where only bad things can happen and they did. In doing that I know that I am going to hurt the people closest to me, who I’ve talked to and apologized to. Being my wife and my kids. It’s just a sh-tty moment when you know you’re wrong and there’s no excuses for your wrong behavior.”

“At the end of the day, man, I just simply gotta do better, but I’m also not going to allow a person to have financial gain off of my mistakes and in this particular situation that’s what was attempted,” he added. “I said I’d rather fess up to my mistakes.”
