10 Very Annoying Things on Facebook

November 9th, 2011 - By Toya Sharee

 "Woman on computer"

I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook.  On its best day, the site is great for social networking, catching up with old friends and spreading awareness about your own personal business ventures and life events.  On its worst day, Facebook is a place for people to overindulge in self-promotion, irrelevant drama and become way too informed about other people’s personal lives.  At the end of the day it’s all about discretion, and one of the things that Mark Zuckerberg has taught me is that there’s one thing people love talking about more than other people: themselves.  Take a look as I poke fun at 10 annoying behaviors that you can find on “The Book.”

This article could have gotten to the point a lot more quickly by simply writing a list. It takes an unforgivable long time to scroll page by page only to find a sentence. Boooooooooooring.

  • Robotliliput

The most annoying thing about this article was how long it took every page to load.

Haha, number 10 reminded me of what Todd Bridges said “That’s why my status is always: at home cleaning my guns.” =D

  • Exy

you can free yourself from all of these annoyances (as you seem quite bothered) by deactivating. Voila problem solved.

I split my face book pages. I have one for professional and one for personal. I also stopped taking random request from friends of friends or ex-dates. I’ve always been a private person and Facebook has reminded why. I only post accomplishments as they happen and if they happen. I keep my comments pleasant and not overly political. And when I want to hang out in the real world I call people.

  • Torontochick

I deleted my FB account and I’m loving the freedom. Facebook is just annoying overall.

Use MN to vent no one knows who I am and I can get the point across with everyday life topics, and it keeps your FAMILY AND FRIENDS out of it.

The annoying posts on FB to me are the religious rants/tirades, irrelevant drama and of course people being too much in other folks business.

Number 6.5 Should be the promoters that get your email address from your info page and then send you emails of their promotions.

I never understood the fascination with FaceBook. You log on to give everybody updates about your personal business. I’m a private person – h*ll “Ashley” is not even my name, LOL so I didn’t see the point of putting my business up on a website for the world to see.

this is why i don’t have facebook. i already have contact with people i want to in my life.

I need to follow what you are doing Kayla!! Real friends are ones that you actually communicate with in life and see in real life and not online!!

  • AyeCuh

The hashtags & self promotion thing used to make my neck pulse…lol Been done with FB….as a matter a fact, do a article about the media & societys need to abbreviate every fxckin thing.

The religious nutjobs!! I either delete them or put them ignore. I remember when T.I was said to have stop someone from committing suicide, some idiot put up a status how god used him to save that person. Icing on the cake was that it was all staged. I have a very good friend who puts up religious status all the time but can’t wait to tell me about his laid.

  • Getit!

  • Dropmealine59

Man if u didn’t hit the nail on the head if your significant other is that great trust and believe everyone would see you wouldn’t have to announce and broadcast it well said!
