The Daily Mail published a story this week claiming that Wendy Williams’s husband, Kevin Hunter, has been cheating on the 53-year-old talk show host. And when we say cheating, we don’t mean habitually or even just briefly stepping out, but rather, cheating with a particular woman for 10 years.

The report alleges that Hunter, 46, moved a young woman named Sharina Hudson, 32, into a home less than 10 miles away from the New Jersey home he shares with Williams. The publication has photos of Hudson spending time with a woman they claim is Hudson (who definitely isn’t Williams) just days after he returned from his Barbados getaway with his wife.
And to make things all the more confusing/alarming, the Daily Mail actually found (and photographed) that both Hudson and Hunter’s names are on the mailbox at the home she resides in. She’s been spotted with a large diamond ring on her hand and photos have been taken of the pair at the gym, running errands and more.
So the question is, what in the hell is going on here?
If you ask Williams, she would say nothing is going on at all. In fact, her rep actually responded to the rumors, telling Us Weekly, “One plus one does not equal three. This woman is a friend but there is not ‘there’ there.”
And Williams, herself, spoke out about the story during the Hot Topics segment of her show on Tuesday morning.
“It’s weird doing Hot Topics and being a hot topic,” she said about the rumors.
“It’s some sort of weird story going around the Internet regarding my husband. Look, I’m a straight shooter. Pow, pow. All you got to do is Google him and you see the story. You can believe what you want, but… [flashes ring] I stand by my guy.” Williams went on to say that she and her husband actually commuted to work together on Tuesday, and they encountered paparazzi outside of their home. But she wants to make it clear that just because there might be smoke doesn’t necessarily mean there is fire.
“All is well in Hunterville. Don’t believe the hype,” Williams said. “And if there was hype, believe me you, I would let you know. And by the way, I’ll be following this story. So I guess I’ll have to watch to find out what happens.”
This isn’t the first time cheating rumors and revelations have surrounded this couple.
When Williams called Evelyn Lozada’s son with Carl Crawford a “cash register” in an attempt to say she’d hit the lottery by having a child with the MLB player, the Basketball Wives star, who had a shoe store called Dulce in Miami, put Williams and her husband on blast.
“Since u want me 2 open Dulce n LA. Maybe ur man can come 2 that store & purchase shoes 4 another woman like he did @ my Miami store. Bloop!” she tweeted. “Oh…BTW…he purchased the Casadei suede over the knee boots triple platform just in case you wanted to know. #DontComeForMe #INeverBotherU”
There was also a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against Williams and her husband by a former talent booker on her show who claimed Hunter demanded sex from her on multiple occasions. The case was settled out of court.
But Williams has also been honest about infidelity in their marriage in the past. She said she caught Hunter cheating in 2001, but they were able to move past it.
“At that particular time, I had my career in radio, I was making a great salary, I had vacation property of my very own and the world was my oyster, so I definitely thought I wasn’t staying around for some cheating,” she told Essence in 2013. “But I did and I don’t regret it.”
