“Blessed”: Despite Herpes Drama, Usher And Grace Miguel Just Celebrated Their Second Wedding Anniversary
To say it’s been a rough few months for Usher in terms of his public image would be an understatement.
It was in July that documents leaked online claiming the 38-year-old infected a sexual partner with herpes back in 2012 after possibly contracting it himself in 2009 or 2010. Those documents claim the singer paid the woman’s doctor bills and paid her $1.1 million in a settlement. Soon after, more people stepped forward with lawsuits claiming that in the last few years, and as recent as early this year, they’d had sexual encounters with him and were suing for fraud, sexual battery, emotional distress, having their rights violated because the singer may or may not have been upfront about his alleged herpes status, and more. The most recent claims come from a woman who says she was pregnant with twins but they allegedly were born stillborn because of herpes she contracted from the singer, and a man who says he was exposed after allegedly having a sexual encounter with Usher at a spa in L.A.
But life has to go on in the meantime for Usher, who after keeping quiet on social media after the documents leaked and lawsuits surfaced, has since returned to posting, and his regularly scheduled program.
One person connected to him who is doing the same is his wife, Grace Miguel. She shared this week that the couple were celebrating their two-year anniversary and made it clear that she’s standing by her man:
She also shared a picture of the pair on what seems to be their wedding day:
The couple tied the knot in September of 2015 while vacationing in Cuba.
When speaking on his wife last year to Entertainment Tonight, Usher gushed about finding his soulmate.
“I am just really happy to have found an incredible mate, a partner who understands my growth and I understand hers.”
