Calm down beauties, yes! our favorite half-hour HBO Original comedy ‘Insecure’ will be back for a third season. Breakout star and bae, Issa Rae, will continue to explore the challenges of being a black woman, as well as the social and racial drama tied to her experiences.

Round two! Can we get an amen to Greenleaf stepping back on the scene? It is true – in this world there are sinners and saints, and you better believe that OWN’s Greenleaf gives you a taste of both with its scandalous cast. Starring Merle Dandridge, who plays Grace Greenleaf and her cunning but stunning mother, Lady Mae Greenleaf, played by Lynn Whitfield, who knows what is in store for the church. Let’s not forget the powerhouse players Bishop James Greenleaf, played by seasoned actor Keith David and media mogul Oprah Winfrey, who plays Mavis McCready. Be sure to tune in on Wednesdays at 10/9C.

Yes, being black and proud is a given, especially with all of the racial drama dominating the airwaves today. However, one award-winning show, which is returning for season 4 – keeps the politics in check… Let’s salute Black-ish, which stars the head of the household, Dre Johnson, played by actor, Anthony Anderson. With a successful family to manage, and all the issues aligned with being Black while trying to walk on solid ground, this show is the staple for honoring its blackness, even in a world that is trying to break it down. Tune into ABC for season 4, Episode 1 on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 9 PM.

Hey Gladiators – truth be told – tears are going to flow, so let’s enjoy the moment before it all crashes down! Sadly, one of our favorite TV dramas, Scandal, starring the ‘fast-acting, get you out of a dilemma’ Kerry Washington is entering its 7th and last season – can you believe it? Scandal’s run was epic and truly influential to modern day scripted shows. Tune into ABC on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 9 PM and see what surprises the political players have up their sleeves.
