Earlier this year, we reported that Mike Epps’ estranged-now-ex-wife, Mechelle was requesting $109,036 per month in spousal and child support because she felt that at 36-years-old she was too old to enter the workforce.
Now that their divorce has been finalized, Mechelle is getting at least some of what she wants…which might have been her strategy to begin with. In which case, well played.
According to TMZ the couple just signed off on a divorce degree that has Mechelle doing pretty well. After 12 years of marriage, Mike will keep his 10 properties in Indiana and three cars.
And Mechelle is entitled to $25k a month in spousal support for a total of 6 and a half years. If she remarries, the payments will cease. In addition, Mechelle will receive $15k a month in child support for the former couple’s two children. Epps himself will continue paying for the children’s education. In the split, Epps also gets to keep four cars.
The couple plan to sell their family home and split the profits. They’ve agreed on joint legal custody for the children and are still in the process of ironing out the details for physical custody.
