This year has been one of highs and lows for singer and former R&B Diva Keke Wyatt. She’s carrying her ninth child but she has another one who is fighting cancer. She shaved her hair as a sign of solidarity. And now, she’s made an announcement, via her Instagram page, that her second husband Michael Ford is asking for a divorce.

Yeah…telling other people, other women that we getting a divorce and if she calls…like, what?!
I’m so done with Michael Jamar. Y’all can have him and roast his ass. I don’t care.
This news is particularly sad as this is Keke’s second marriage. Her first husband, Rahmat Morton, she married when she was just eighteen years old. The couple officially divorced in 2009. Wyatt married Ford in 2010. If you watched “R&B Divas” you saw Wyatt speak often about the relationship baggage she carried from her first marriage, which was physically abusive. There was even a scene with Ford where she likened herself as can of dented green beans. She was bruised on the outside but still good on the inside. In an interview we conducted with her, back in 2015, she admitted that she still didn’t trust men, including her husband but she loved him anyway. She’s likely making a reference to that with the caption to this video, writing about her shell and having a wall up when it comes to men.

Whatever she decides to do with her marriage, we’re wishing the best for Keke.
