There is nothing we love more than rocking an awesome pair of leggings. Not only are they exceptionally comfy, but the way they make our butts look so right and tight is truly magical. But with so many athleisure brands to choose from nowadays, how’s a girl supposed to find the leggings, tank tops and sports bras that perfectly balance strength and style? We have you covered with a list of some of our favorite athleisure brands.

Alala

Touting itself as a brand that celebrates where “style meets sport,” Alala has mastered that balance perfectly. We’re not talking boring yoga pants or blousy sports tops that don’t do much in the way of highlighting our figures. We’re talking sexy street styles that are super functional, yet can transition seamlessly from a workout class to Saturday brunch. The brand’s New York City roots are very apparent in each piece and we’re all about that inspiration.

Danskin

When you have such a babe like Jenna Dewan Tatum promoting your brand, you know it’s something special. So when it comes to some of our favorite athleisure brands, there is no doubt that dancewear company Danskin had to make the list. Established in 1882 (yes, 1882), Danskin is a pioneer in the dancewear, and ultimately athleisure space. While you may associate the company with more of the leotards and tights scene, trust us when we say that any athleisure fan worth her salt should give the company a close look for the awesome leggings, fun tanks and soft, comfy cover-ups they create.

Sweaty Betty

This London brand has attracted a multitude of celebrity fans including Jessica Alba and Reese Witherspoon and it’s no mystery why. In 1998 Tamara Hill-Norton and her husband set out to reinvent active apparel for women. They wanted to create a line that was both practical for working out and yet beautiful enough for any fashionista. With their stunning patterns, enviable crop top and bottom sets, as well as bum sculpting leggings we think that they definitely accomplished their goal.

Koral

And the prize for sexiest activewear might just have to go to Los Angeles-based Koral. Sure, plenty of athleisure companies specialize is super form-fitting items, but Koral takes it to a whole new level. With sexy cut-outs, plunging necklines, liquid-looking metallic color palettes and more mesh insets than our heart could ever desire, Koral has definitely stepped up the athleisure game to a level that moves from active day to active night.

Varley

Hotties Shae Mitchell and Alessandra Ambrosio are fans of Varley, an active lifestyle brand that is all about luxury fabrics, performance-geared apparel and body-flattering silhouettes. Perhaps more traditional than a brand like Koral, we have to tip our hats to Varley for its incredible patterns and the subtle sexy and sass they infuse to their pieces.

Nike

Though most of our selections are more in the boutique vein, there was no way that we would be able to discount a tried and true and really impressive brand like Nike. While many traditional sportswear brands have adjusted from their 80s and 90s approach to activewear for women, embracing more the athleisure vibe, no brand has been as impressive in making that transition than Nike. Leveraging its classic looks and tried and true styles, Nike has updated them to fit a fresh, street style vibe that is perfect for any athleisure fan.

Spiritual Gangster

A favorite among Hollywood A-listers, Spiritual Gangster has one of the more traditionally yoga feels of the brands on our list. “Let your soul guide the way,” “namaste,” and “the universe is on my side” are all the types of sayings that often checker the pieces created by Spiritual Gangster. And while these feel good, yoga phrases might not be everyone’s cup of tea, we have to give it up for this brand’s boho aesthetic and relaxed style.

Vimmia

Started in 2012, Vimmia proudly promotes the idea of helping women to “unleash their life force.” And after taking a look at their collection, we think they’ve nailed that objective. While Vimmia does have fun patterns and bright colors, where this brand really shines is in how it tackles neutral colors and makes them just as stunning and interesting.

Alo

For all the yoga enthusiasts out there, one brand reigns supreme: Alo. Even taking a look at their Instagram perfectly sums up exactly what Alo is all about — creating beautiful pieces that are perfect for novice and advanced yogis alike. The clothes look amazing and clearly provide the support and durability women need to perform yoga moves to perfection.
